Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

KensalM2B · 18/02/2014 11:39

Thanks bumpbangbump it really was. My male colleagues who don't know I'm pregnant (and won't for another 6 weeks or so) must think I've gone bat crazy.

Congrats on the weight loss! It's natural to miss the reassurance of the scans, but must also be reassuring to not be high risk.

Haven't heard from my mw re: any appointments yet... am desperate to get the ball rolling on that!

KensalM2B · 18/02/2014 11:41

CareBear if only! I almost told them just to claw back a shred of dignity...;)

bumpbangbump · 18/02/2014 11:48

Great news on the scans tak1ng and tiny. Really pleased they went well.

Welcome to bumpy!

Kendal I'm sure you will be able to laugh about it one day I'm laughing a bit now Grin

bumpbangbump · 18/02/2014 11:49

Sorry kensal

CareBearWithFangs · 18/02/2014 11:59

Kensal I'm cringing for you! But it's a good story to tell. That's what I always say to myself, I seem to cause quite a lot of embarrassing situations. I recently fell asleep during a facial and woke myself up with a loud snore - mortifying!

ohthegoats · 18/02/2014 12:50

Well, I've just been to my new doctors to get myself on the system here, and all hell broke loose! I'm Factor V Leiden, so am injecting heparin (I've been doing this for years for various reasons, it doesn't concern me much), and I'm old, and I'm not thin. They want me to see midwives tomorrow, early scans blah blah. Got referred to the special care unit at the Radcliffe though, which is all consultant led, so pretty good.

Am thinking perhaps I've been all a bit blasé up to now. Sort of made me laugh a bit.. probably shouldn't.

Katqwaszx · 18/02/2014 12:50

Hi everyone, took pg test on Valentine's day (to the shock of my bf!) i'm due 13th October. New to all of this and pretty scared.

tak1ngchances · 18/02/2014 15:00

congratulations to the newcomers Smile

ohthegoats that does all sound quite intense however it's v good to be getting a high standard of care. Sounds like you are well looked after which is great.

mum2kiss · 18/02/2014 17:50

Congrats to all the newbies :)

I have a permanent bad taste in my mouth so I have a steady stream of butter mints on hand! I have a constant feeling of fullness too although I still want to eat which is weird! The fullness makes me feel nauseous but no actual puking thank goodness!

I took dd to kids cinema this morning and let her have a happy mea after. I suddenly had a desire for a double cheeseburger meal.although I had gone in expecting everything to make me heave! It was soooo good! Oh the gherkins, onions, ketchup and all that bad stuff really hit the spot! Salivating just thinking about it! Lol!

KensalM2B · 18/02/2014 18:38

Yay! More October mums:) Welcome and congrats.

mum2kiss I haven't eaten a cheeseburger in about 5 years and your post made me really, really want one.

Katqwaszx romantic to find out on Val Day:) Congrats. It's still sinking in, no doubt, so normal to feel a bit scared.

ohthegoats wow, that must have been a bit unsettling. I think it is best not to let these things get the better of you and it sounds like you have the right attitude + the best care.

Spanking new to mumsnet btw and have to say it is a godsend atm! So reassuring to hear I'm not alone in all this craziness!

BingoBango85 · 18/02/2014 18:44

Oh ladies, what a day! Went to gp first thing with bad pains on left side. He felt my tummy and I nearly shot through the roof. Got carted off to a&e and the epu. Had vag swab, then ultra sound and bloods which took hours to come bk! Still mine the wiser. They could see a possible sac in my uterus but equally they could see something on my left tube; possible endo/eptopic/cyst. Bloods showed 2000hcg and I have to go back Thursday for more. I'm exhausted! And fed up Hmm

noimagination80 · 18/02/2014 18:45

Hey all,

So much has been going on! Welcome to all the new bfp's.

So the exhaustion has set in, I am ratty as hell and can't even remember how the form words or spell my own name.

Anyone else having restless night's?

I am 6 weeks tomorrow, 2 weeks untill my first midwife appointment.

I have been missed from the list, edd 15th

mum2kiss · 18/02/2014 18:55

bingo that is some day! How far along are you?

queenasanti3 · 18/02/2014 18:59

Glad everything has went well for those who have early scans today, and seeing their little babas heartbeats, I'm hoping to see mine too in the morning guessing I will 7 weeks exactly tomorrow.

BINGO, hope your blood levels rise next time.

Mrsthedog · 18/02/2014 19:00

Bingobango85 I am sorry to hear about your day. Sounds horrid. I hope that it will all become clearer on Thursday - so frustrating. Sending you best wishes and hugs.

Noimagination80 Yep, restless nights and grumpiness. Sounds pretty standard. Oscillating between jubilation and depression because there is so much time between now and 12 weeks. Hang in there and moan and rant at will :)

tak1ngchances · 18/02/2014 19:14

Golly bingo I hope you are ok. Fingers crossed that the thing on your left side calms down.

mum2kiss · 18/02/2014 19:18

bingo I remember a work colleague of mine having a cyst that caused her a great deal of pain during early pregnancy. Hope they get you sorted soon!

I've been restless at night because I'm hot! That coupled with needing to pee is highly annoying. It doesnt help that our bathroom is downstairs!

FlipFantasia · 18/02/2014 19:23

Bingo what a day - hope you're not in too much pain and hope you know more by Thurs. Fingers firmly crossed it's all in the right place.

Tinytear glad your scan showed a heartbeat!

Kensal - gah early pregnancy tearyness is terrible! And embarrassing!

Queenasanti fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow xx

Porcito - how cool that you're in Mexico! I went twice as a teenager (lived in New Mexico for a couple of years so it was easy to get the bus to El Paso/Juarez). Now we live in the states I'm daydreaming about a family holiday to cancun...

big waves to everyone else and welcome to those with new BFPs.

I've got two sick & snotty & grumpy kids and a bit of a raised temp myself (cue much paranoia and necking of paracetamol!). Many cartoons have been watched today!

Plus our furnace stopped working today, so freezing house (plumbers are here now fixing it). Plus it snowed again.

On the up side, the outside temp is above zero for the first time in about a month. And I'm off to ireland with the kids in a week!

Seven weeks tomorrow and first midwife app on Friday...

pinkfizzsparkles · 18/02/2014 19:24

Hi all, have been lurking since day 1 of thread and finally decided to hop on board! EDD 5th October. I have a scan booked sat as I had a mmc in the summer at 12 weeks which was devastating as I had no indication anything was wrong. Can relate to everyone's symptoms, actually cried this morning at the thought of feeling this ill for another month or so. Anyone suffering with really bad wind, both ends?! It's hideous and my dd has even commented how I'm making her feel sick Blush

Hoping Thursday goes well for you bingo the waiting is the worst.

BingoBango85 · 18/02/2014 19:27

Thanks everyone. It's so hard to know what to think. I thought 2000 hcg sounded ok for 4ish weeks but consultant said it was neither high nor low-key is an increase by Thursday. Hmm

FlipFantasia · 18/02/2014 19:28

Mum2kiss cheeseburger [drool]. Would love one now! Haven't had one in years! But just found out that they use some freaky chemical (banned in Europe due to possible carcinogenic qualities but legal in America) in their bread that is also used to make pliable plastics like yoga mats. Makes the bread all soft. Urgh! turned my stomach when I read that (and made me a bit sad about the crazy food stuff in America!). Maybe I'll get a sneaky maccy D's back in ireland...

MrsF2510 · 18/02/2014 19:32

Oh bingo - sorry you've had a rough time . Really hope it gets sorted ASAP. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and have my first midwife app on Fri (bit early apparently, but there weren't the appointments the week after for some reason) - does anyone know what they will do / go through? X

ohthegoats · 18/02/2014 19:39

Blimey Bingo, fingers crossed.

And yes to all the wind stuff - mostly burping, since I'm not much of a farter (which is a shame, since I have loads of bloaty/windiness going on, my gut is huge).

I'm hoping though, that because no one has a clue that we even tried to get me pregnant, that having a fat gut now and legitimately complaining about wind (on a short size 14 frame), will mean I can get away with a bit of a bump before having to tell work. I'll tell my boss, but I don't want the rest knowing until I have to tell them.

On the food front the last few days, pizza is the winner. I haven't eaten pizza for years, now I can't get enough.

CareBearWithFangs · 18/02/2014 19:50

Sending hugs and best wishes bingo.

I also now really want a cheese burger and I haven't had one since I was pregnant with DD.
