Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

Morning everyone! Felt so rough last night tried to go bed early but once there was wide awake and had terrible nights sleep. Woke up gassy and feeling sick so it's arrived, spent whole journey to work feeling queasy, bit better now but still not feeling great. Any tips for getting rid of this feeling? I've had breakfast because was hungry but now don't want to eat anything ever again lol

kimblecakes · 13/02/2014 08:58

I'm gassy too.. and have the horrible metallic taste in my mouth, but thankfully not too queezy yet, just an "off" feeling. I've heard ginger is good for mornign sickness though?

CareBearWithFangs · 13/02/2014 09:03

The only thing that helped even slightly when I was pregnant with DD was always having something to nibble on. I always had a packet of seeds with me (like a crazy bird lady).

mrsb87 · 13/02/2014 09:10

They say salty snacks are good, and cereal bars

Cakebaker35 · 13/02/2014 09:57

Welcome all the new BFPs and congratulations.

Hardly any symptoms here at all, I'm trying to be grateful after hearing about some people's experiences but it is still a bit disconcerting despite being told its fine and knowing it was with dd1!

No midwife appointments here until you're between 8 - 11 wks apparently as they have a huge backlog. I should get a scan date through by the end of next week though so I'm on the system which is the main thing at the moment. 6+6 here and I'm just wanting to get to that scan to see what's what, very difficult to be patient!

IRCL · 13/02/2014 10:51

room for one more?

I got a bfp yesterday..Bit in shock really..we were using condoms and my ds is only 12 weeks old! Shock. freaking out slightly!

EDD is 18th.

daphnehoneybutt · 13/02/2014 10:59

Hello hello everyone- dipping my toe in the water with some trepidation... expecting DC1 due 22nd Oct.... Shock Can't believe it to be honest and do not want to get too excited yet. Not even told my mam.

Given its so early on should I call the Drs to ask what the protocol is? It's complicated as we are moving house mid next month to another county / health area (whatever they are called).

Hope everyone is feeling OK today Smile

Loopylu84 · 13/02/2014 11:27

Binky I hope you're ok...keep us updated
Noinagination I feel alright thanks-can't keep my eyes open but other than that pretty good really!

Welcome to all you new ladies!

Me23 · 13/02/2014 13:09

Hello everyone, congratulations on all your pregnancies and commiserations to those who have mc.

I have been lurking on this thread for 2 weeks now and though it was about time I joined in.

My Edd is 13 oct and this will be dc3, we weren't planning on another but had one time unprotected and I took emergency contraception but it didn't work and this baby obviously wants to be here! I had a feeling I was pregnant from the get go I can't really explain it but I just knew got 1st bfp at 11dpo. I am really excited and scared about the prospect of number 3.

I am having my booking appt at 8 weeks need to organize scan.
Symptom wise am same as other two which is not much! Some cramping, bigger nipples, very hungry and tired. Have a night shift tonight hope it isn't horrendously busy.

Me23 · 13/02/2014 13:13

Sorry was a typo in earlier post my booking appt is at 9 weeks not 8.

Cakebaker35 · 13/02/2014 13:24

ircl congratulations on being bothered to have sex with a 12 wk old Grin

sazzlehopes · 13/02/2014 14:10

Hey Binky - hope all is ok today and the bleeding stops.

I'm 7 weeks today and feeling a bit more confident being able to mark off the weeks. I have midwife apt in 2 weeks time, but no scan date yet.
Absolutely no symptoms - like you cake eating like a horse, but not sure too if it is a great excuse to eat more!

Giraffeski · 13/02/2014 14:11

Hi everyone, can you take me off please as I started bleeding on Sunday morning and it's still going on now. I am only 5 weeks today so POAS this morning and it's negative so looks like it was a chemical pregnancy.

sazzlehopes · 13/02/2014 14:12

Cake Grin 100% my thoughts! I think it would have been an immaculate conception before about 6 months with my first!!!! Grin

sazzlehopes · 13/02/2014 14:12

Oh no giraffeski so sorry Thanks

MrsF2510 · 13/02/2014 14:40

Oh giraffeski I'm so sorry to hear that. Loads of luck for next month x

binkybunny · 13/02/2014 14:44

Oh no so sorry Giraffe :( I really feel for you after our experience today, I can just imagine.

Thankfully our scare is now over after a ride in the ambulance to the hospital from the GP this morning, pee tests, blood tests and finally an ultrasound (the one that goes up so not that pleasant!) We got to see our tiny little pea for the first time and just a flicker of a heart beat. I was so stressed I could hardly enjoy it at the time but now it's sinking in I feel rather overwhelmed!

Anyway, all is healthy- 1cm long and 5 weeks Smile

Thank you for everyone's messages!

daphnehoneybutt · 13/02/2014 16:12

So sorry to hear that giraffeski Flowers

CareBearWithFangs · 13/02/2014 16:24

Sorry to hear that Giraffe. I really hope your ok.

FlipFantasia · 13/02/2014 16:48

Giraffe so sorry to hear that Hmm. Take care of yourself.

Binky glad you got some reassurance and that you got to see your little bean. How exciting to see the heartbeat! Fingers crossed you have no more bleeding.

bumpbangbump · 13/02/2014 17:20

Been AWOL for a bit but reading and keeping up just about

So sorry to those with losses. Fx for successful bfps in the future for you all.

Symptoms at the moment are extreme tiredness, had to take the day off work and had a 3 hour nap, and massive hunger. At least I've only been eating food that's on plan today, lots of it though... Still feeling a bit sick although I think that's linked to the hunger and tiredness more than anything.

Will try to keep up more!

pebble82 · 13/02/2014 17:42

I have a delicate question ladies. Me and DP got down to some non ttc dtd (for once) and after the big O the pain from uterus cramping was really bad. I'm so worried I've harmed the baby or that it might cause a mc. Anyone else had this? (sorry for personal question!)

Cakebaker35 · 13/02/2014 17:46

So very sorry to those with losses, wishing you lots of luck for the future Flowers

sazzle it would've been more like 12 months here Blush

ToffeeJungle · 13/02/2014 18:05

Sorry to hear about those suffering losses. Really hope you're ok and all will be well next time.

pebble despite being a bit horny myself (!) I've resisted dtd as am worried something will happen though I've read many times that sex can't harm the baby or bring on mc so am sure you'll be fine. Well done for having the energy though!

And yes Im eating like a horse too! As I said in an earlier post I have put on weight already though know it's just the amount of food Im consumer

ToffeeJungle · 13/02/2014 18:07

*consuming seen as though th 'baby' is probably only the size of a sesame seed!!!
