Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

Oh we are only messing ohthegoats it's because we are not getting many symptoms it's hard to believe we are actually pregnant!

ohthegoats · 11/02/2014 19:56

Oh ok. I just wondered if there was something in it! If I carry on feeling as good as I've done today I'll start wondering if I'm still pregnant too. Would explain stomach pains too.

Having said that, cooked and ate dinner... now feeling a bit pants again. Although nowhere near as bad as I have recently.

fatpony · 11/02/2014 20:07

Hi all, I got my bfp on Sunday with an EDD of 17 Oct- two days before my birthday! No symptoms as of yet, apart from indigestion today which could be for any reason

MrsCaptainReynolds · 11/02/2014 20:14

Discovered a new nausea remedy today -diet cherry coke. Please don't tell me all the bad things in it, I actually got a few hours relief slowing sipping this today. Lovely!

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/02/2014 22:33

Sorry to all those of you who are sick! I don't have any symptoms anymore either, not for a couple of days - twinges, pulls and cramps have stopped, boobs aren't sore anymore. Not really that tired. I'm making the most of it! Grin
I got sent round in circles with various numbers for midwives today until I eventually got through to the right one who said she'd wait for the GP's referral then contact me. Completely pointless! Oh well. I'll give it until 9 weeks and call again if I've not heard.
6 weeks today - halfway to seeing my little squish for the first time! Envy

cottonwool4brains · 11/02/2014 22:49

Sorry to here some people are feeling I'll. Still feeling really anxious, I am hoping I'll feel more confident after the 6 week mark.

ldt87 · 11/02/2014 22:55

Hi everyone, I'm hanging in here feeling really anxious. I'm hardly having any symptoms, only 5+1 today and the scan feels so far away. I hate this uncertainty! I wish I could wake up in 6 weeks time lol.

I hope everyone who's suffering starts to feel better soon xx

ldt87 · 11/02/2014 22:56

Does anyone know the miscarriage statistics are they decrease throughout the weeks? Might help my peace of mind!

Bumpforme2014 · 11/02/2014 23:17

Cottonwool4brains and ldt87 I was feeling like you this time last week, from what I've read on net it seems like miscarriage risk actually goes down from 10% to 5% at six weeks. This is because a heartbeat usually forms by then, risk goes down further at eight weeks. Most miscarriages actually happen in very early pregnancy and it's rare for then to happen otherwise although I personally think they are very common as everyone knows someone who had one. I feel better knowing I'm now six weeks and now focusing on getting to eight weeks. Just got to take each day as it comes but I am also very anxious and desperately want to get excited and tell people.

Bumpforme2014 · 11/02/2014 23:19

Useful link that made me feel better sites.google.com/site/miscarriageresearch/miscarriage-general

ldt87 · 11/02/2014 23:30

That link is really interesting. Thanks for posting. I am trying to be positive without obsessing about baby stuff, its really hard though. I just want to enjoy this. Assuming all goes well, this will be my last baby and I don't want to look back and remember the pregnancy full of anxiety and worry!

Xx

Mrsthedog · 12/02/2014 07:01

Has anyone else got super-spidey smell at the moment? The smells don't induce nausea, I just feel that my sense of smell has gone into overdrive!

officelady · 12/02/2014 07:06

I could really do without the super-spidey smell - especially when picking up the dog poop - blerk! I haven't actually had any morning sickness yet, which worries me a bit because I definitely had it early on with my other 2 pregnancies. I can't believe I'm wishing I was sick, especially after reading about Mrsb87's experience, but it would be reassuring at least.
I am trying to stay away from the miscarriage statistics, they're not very reassuring for someone in my age group unfortunately. I am trying to be all zen and relaxed and "what will be, will be" but by god it's hard!
Still, another day ticked off without incident.

MrsF2510 · 12/02/2014 07:15

I found a link that shows miscarriage stats (though based on a small sample) here - spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=08&d=10&y=12

The problem is that all research is different - I have seen that chance of miscarriage reduces from 10% to 5% at 6 wks yet this link shows the chance is higher. I just know that this link made me appreciate every day that passes without incident (think the %s might be higher though)

ldt87 · 12/02/2014 08:16

Officelady, I am joining you in an attempt to be zen and behave like a rational person! It will all be fine xx

ohthegoats · 12/02/2014 08:23

I've been feeling pretty zen all along, until I started thinking about the medical horribleness of later mc. At this point I'm more scared of a painful (and negative) experience, than I am of the bigger implications of mc meaning a lost baby. My partner isn't being terribly understanding about that, and thinks I'm being a negative nancy. Which is nice.

zahazie · 12/02/2014 08:38

Morning All, Thanks MrsF2510 and Bumpforme2014 for the links. I find it reassuring to see the risks go down, although it doesn't stop me from being a bit anxious (will it ever stop??).
ohthegoats, my OH gets a bit annoyed too and tells me to stop being so negative. I don't think I am pessimistic, but I don't want to be naive either.
Mild sickness for the last two-three days, tends to come and go, not unbearable but not very pleasant either.

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/02/2014 08:40

Sorry to all of you suffering from anxiety, it sounds really tough! Thanks

pebble82 · 12/02/2014 09:23

Anxiety here too. Trying to have a what will be will be attitude but it's hard. 3 loo trips already today, just for knicker checks. Must get a grip!!

Also, the boss made be a full caffeine brew which I had to drink. Now paranoid!

puppythedog · 12/02/2014 09:50

There's not much going on in a fathers to be kind of way so if you all don't mind I'll loiter here with Mrsthedog. Obviously I can't describe any of my signs and symptoms and I'll leave mrsthedog to describe hers unless I'm asking on her behalf.
The one thing I can join in with a little is the whole, how long when does the risk decrease and what do we do.
We've not been able to contain our excitement (or have chosen not to) ad we have shared with our closest people, it's hard not to think too far ahead and be worried about getting to next tuesday.

Congratulations to all and thanks for letting me share.

Bumpforme2014 · 12/02/2014 09:50

I feel okay today, liked that link you sent MrsF2510 but it put me higher percentage then I thought I was today! Booooo still, it does show everyday is progress :-)

Don't worry pebble you are allowed about two cups of coffee a day, I am still having one a day.

I think we will all have anxiety at the back of our minds until the scan date hence why I wanted an early one to know I had a heartbeat and size was normal.

Off to hospital today for my check up about my bowel condition, have to tell doc I'm pregnant and hope it does not complicate my treatment. Seeing GP on Friday, be interested to see how quickly I will see midwife I am hoping I might be seen sooner as slightly higher risk with bowel condition.

akachan · 12/02/2014 09:54

I have had no more spotting for a couple of days and still getting BFP so I am trying to calm down a bit. On constant knicker watch though. Doesn't help that everything seems a bit damper than normal (sorry!) so I keep thinking it must be blood.

I also just trying to think about it in terms of day at a time.

ToffeeJungle · 12/02/2014 09:56

It is hard not to be worried, it is such a big thing!
Though I try to remember that the odds are in my favour plus I was fine first time round with DC1 and there is no reason this won't be the same.
Besides what will be will be. A MC happens for a reason and nature knows best.

I've had mild cramping today, a bit like period pain and feel a little nauseous.

Anyone else feel like they're putting on weight already??! (Im only 5+4 weeks and my clothes are starting to

ToffeeJungle · 12/02/2014 09:57

feel a bit tight already???!!! Blush

zahazie · 12/02/2014 09:58

I'd like to ask you what you think about travelling while pregnant. I travel a fair bit for work and a few weeks ago I travelled to Asia and in two weeks I have to go to the US. Then possibly Africa in May. The caribbean end of May (but that's a holiday :) ) and then Australia in July (when I will be 30 weeks pregnant).
I know that there are several threads on this, and everyone seems to say that airtravel is fine up to 32-34 weeks, but I am a bit worried that the Australia trip will be very uncomfortable.
Work is asking me to book my flights now (to get cheaper tickets), but I worry that my doctor/midwife might advise me not to go (and I don't want to tell work I am pregnant yet).
