Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

Aaaaaaaaand here we go again. So clearly 2 different types of anti-sickness tablets aren't enough for me to stop puking again. How on earth are you supposed to carry on working etc like this Sad

MrsF2510 · 11/02/2014 10:40

Thanks rundmc and aww mrsb, really feel for you. X

FlipFantasia · 11/02/2014 10:49

MrsRedHead so sorry to hear you've had a mc Hmm. Thinking of you and sending un-MN hugs xx

Mrsb so glad you've gotten some rest! And that the fluids have helped. HG is a nightmare - friend had it til 18 weeks - and I really hope the medication keeps it at bay.

Tory with you on the knackeredness - my 3 yr old son and 1 yr old daughter are getting a lot more cartoons than normal! Yesterday I accidentally fell asleep on the couch during my daughter's nap, much to my son't amusement!

Puppy - no idea where dads-to-be hang out, my dh prefers to waste his time on twitter than somewhere like mn! You could try the dadsnet section.

Waves to everyone else! I've been reading but too knackered to keep up properly. Had forgotten how early pregnancy makes me feel like I've got a permanent hangover - knackered, nauseous/rough, off most food - with added emotional outbursts involved...5+6 today and have a scan booked for Saturday (6+3). I am both dreading it and looking forward to it...

FlipFantasia · 11/02/2014 10:57

Mrsb x-posts. Oh no! Sorry to hear you're sick again!

RunDMC with you on the paranoid twin thoughts! My sis was trying for no 3 and got no 3&4 last year. Turns out fraternal twins do run in my mum's family but she never thought to mention it as she never had twins herself (and she has no sisters). I have no basis for this other than my sister's experience...

mrsb87 · 11/02/2014 11:17

Thanks flip, was actually starting to feel quite positive but its sent me back down hill again.
Rundmc I have also been having twin worries! It runs in both mine and dh's family

akachan · 11/02/2014 12:29

hello all

Sorry to hear you're unwell mrsb

RunDMC · 11/02/2014 12:31

aw mrsb sorry the tablets aren't working. I was sick until 27 weeks the last time but never bad enough for meds, just puked once a day after a big meal which to be honest was preferable to constant nausea.

the twin thing is weird isn't it flip and mrsb -none in mine or dh's family just a silly gut feeling. As I spent most of my last pregnancy thinking I was having a girl and had a boy I'm going to ignore it !

just got some good news today - DH had to have an xray for unexplained leg bone pain and the results show everything is clear. not totally out of the woods yet but a step closer. hoping it's a stress fracture (wouldn't be ideal as moving house in 3 weeks) but lesser of two evils really.

pebble82 · 11/02/2014 12:53

Sorry to those not feeling great. Hope you figure out some sort of a solution to make yourself feel a bit more human soon.

I've just tried calling the midwife number I was given but had to leave a message as they don't take calls but ring you back in working hours which are 8am-4pm. Shame that's my working hours too and I have no privacy in work!! Hmm, I can see an awkward phone convo happening. My boss is either going to guess I'm pregnant or think I'm talking to a recruitment consultant! "I can't talk right now as I'm in work" is a cue for all eyes and ears to be on my every move!

Bumpforme2014 · 11/02/2014 13:14

Oh gosh I do feel for all those being sick I really don't know how you can work like that!? Will have to get signed off by doctor I guess.

Pebble that is a nightmare, you must find a way to get away for the phone call.

Flip that is exciting about your scan, I've decided against an early scan at the moment but I could change my mind.

I am also 5+6 today and no symptoms apart from some sharp twinges in abdomen and sore boobs, although I did wake up at 5am feeling sick but was tired so I can't tell if it was a dream or not haha

hefner · 11/02/2014 14:26

Good news about your husband RunDMC. Sorry to hear your tablets aren't working mrsb.

pebble82 I've had trouble calling the midwives too, as I work in a huge open plan office with no privacy. I ended up having to speak to them on a friday which is my day at home, but it was tricky with DD screaming in the background, and I don't want her to overhear anything as she might repeat it and we're not telling anyone yet.

Tory and Flip I'm struggling to manage my toddler too, and I don't even have the excuse of feeling ill. I'm definitely more short tempered than usual and permanently tired, and I'm allowing more TV than usual just so that I get to sit and watch in peace! I had a bad day on friday as our house purchase got a bit stressful, DH was away at a conference so I couldn't discuss it with him and DD was being a bit difficult as she was picking up on my bad mood. I kept losing my temper and shouting at her, then being really affectionate because I felt guilty for shouting, then losing my temper again 10 minutes later. At one point I burst into tears because she wouldn't put her shoes on, and she came over, asked if I was sad and then gave me a cuddle and said "wipe those tears away mummy" which made me smile and cry at the same time! Poor DD must have wondered what the hell was happening!

ohthegoats · 11/02/2014 14:45

Well I'm 7 weeks today, and woke up this morning feeling better than I've done since Christmas. Less nausea, less wind, no obvious cramping. So obviously now assuming things are going wrong!

On the other hand I had to do break duty and it was freezing. The nipple pain/general boob ache was excruciating, and almost had me in tears. I brought them all in after 10 minutes.

I'm not sure I'm ready for all this worry.

Loopylu84 · 11/02/2014 15:01

Will the bad wind go away? Please say it will, really embarrassing Blush

Feeling ok here although i'm starting to feel increasingley sleepy
Wondering id anyone else is finding they've developed a really sensitive gag reflex?! I seem to be choking all over the place even when im not feeling nauseated.....

RunDMC · 11/02/2014 15:10

yes to the gag reflex loopy - I had it first time around too and was sensitive on the outside too - couldn't wear a scarf, polo neck or actually touch my throat without wanting to vomit.. weird or what..

mrsb87 · 11/02/2014 16:25

The gag reflex thing is horrid! seat belts...coats...high neck tshirts... ugh!

Twinkletwink · 11/02/2014 16:59

Not got the gag thing yet but IM EXHAUSTED. I wake up and yawn. It's making me clock watch at work. Morning sickness lasts until I have my lunch. It's mild-ish and hope it stays this level so I can enjoy my holiday in a few weeks.

pebble82 · 11/02/2014 17:27

I don't feel sick (yet) but I have a really icky mouth. Kind of thick saliva like I've drank milk all the time. Anyone else or am I just weird?

Pickofthedocs · 11/02/2014 17:34

Me too Pebble. Am just starting to feel half way healthy. Caught some foul cold thing week I got bfp and haven't slept through since. Thick chest, head throbbing, tickly cough but sore too. And only the paracetomol to (not) help.

Bloody knackered.

Looking forward to no more knicker checking. Midwife appt this week and hospital next. Different health auth so I have both.

Wishing you all a v good sick and cramp free night

MrsF2510 · 11/02/2014 18:43

Aww man, am feeling so left out of all these symptoms! Nothing at all yet - maybe I did my test wrong!!! (Sorry didn't mean to sound insensitive particularly to people like mrsb but can't join in any discussions!)

Loopylu84 · 11/02/2014 18:46

So glad it's not just me then! Yeh I'm struggling to have a scarf on too-blergh! Really feel sorry for those having bad morning sickness....Mrsb how are you this evening?

UCLH seem to have been pretty swift with organising everything-I emailed them my self referral yesterday then got home from work to find a booking appointment letter (for when im 9wks) and the first scan which they've arranged for spot on 12 weeks

Have finally stopped knicker checking and weeing on sticks....what will be will be!

The October list is looking very impressive-well done ladies for utilising all those rainy days spent indoors last month! Wink

binkybunny · 11/02/2014 18:57

Oh dear.. I feel like I have been run over by a bus tonight! Horrendous back, boob and head ache and a swollen throat. Cant get comfortable sat, laid or stood and the bath won't run hot water since our boiler was 'fixed'. Feeling a bit sorry for myself again.

But then I read mrsb post and I'm really thankful I'm not suffering as much as you. How are you this evening? Hope your meds kick in soon.

mum2kiss · 11/02/2014 19:08

MrsF im the same...no sickness here...only symptoms are tiredness and sore nips...you all can keep the vomitting though, I have no interest in it!

mrsb87 · 11/02/2014 19:13

My meds have kicked in binks! Yay! I have managed some scrambled egg and some yoghurt this afternoon. I think mornings are going to be the worst because evening meds will have worn off by then. Still feeling icky sicky and tired. Feeling positive but cautious this evening.
Thanks for all your kind messages Smile
Hyperemesis is not fun!!

Bumpforme2014 · 11/02/2014 19:28

I'm with you MrsF2510 and mum2kiss feeling the need to POAS now to check lol I been getting sore sharp twinges in abdomen but that's it, strangely I am not even as tired anymore until evening when I sit down. Itchy nipples driving me mad today though! 6 weeks tomorrow so will see what that brings......

Bumpforme2014 · 11/02/2014 19:29

Oh and v happy to see your feeling better Mrsb87 long may it last.

ohthegoats · 11/02/2014 19:43

Sorry for being dumb, but what good would come of taking more tests?

I took one 2 weeks ago, then another a few days later because it was a digital test and had faded. Took a picture of the second one before that faded as well.
