All of us May mummies are BACK like the Terminator only less deadly (unless preggo rage strikes and we're within waddling distance of sharp things)

Thank you everyone. I'm trying to be positive and trying not to get too stressed cause of baby, but it's really hard :( I love her so much and want her to be ok. It's always been me, her my sister and my gran - we are all really close xx

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 07/02/2014 20:14

Just heard that OH's sister starts IVF in 3 months time! :) I really hope it works for them. They want to be parents so badly, and mini moomin would have a cousin, plus (on a very selfish note I know Sad ) it might improve feelings between us a bit :)

Bornin1984 · 07/02/2014 22:18

Can I ask, if the baby comes prematurely and before mat leave officially begins, does the work place class this as sick leave until official start date or do they start mat leave early?

Squiffie · 07/02/2014 22:30

I believe they start mat leave from the day baby is born
bornin.

Well done on your assignment moomin, one less thing to stress about Smile

Thinking of you blue hope your mum improves soon. X x

Vikks · 07/02/2014 23:28

Blue hope all is well with your mum. Hugs X x

Moomin Fantastic news, well done!

ClearlyMoo · 07/02/2014 23:46

BornIn1984 they start mat leave the day the baby comes....

Baby kicking like crazy today, saw stomach move from outside surreal!!

"Sniffed" some gorgeous red wine this evening... Had a tiny bit to drink too. Was lovely with posh posh dinner. Chef even swapped Gorgonzola for Stilton for me so I could have a "safe" starter! Lushness! Theatre tomorrow!!

impatientlywaiting · 07/02/2014 23:48

Blue thinking of you. Hope she is okay.

Bornin think Squiffee is right, they would start the maternity whatever day baby arrives if it's earlier than planned mat leave.

AliOh · 08/02/2014 01:47

Thinking of you blue, hope everything works out ok x

Dobe, I feel you on the baby movements! I was just saying to DP that I think he's starting to run out of room now, as well as some frantic kicking there is an awful lot of shifting/stretching going on in there! We were both fascinated watching bump contort into all sorts of shapes before!!!

Isean · 08/02/2014 02:59

Thinking of you blue. As someone who's own mother spent weeks touch & go in intensive care following a car accident I know how hard it is. Be good to yourself, allow others to support you, cry when you need to cry & try to have faith. Hugs.

Gavison is rapidly becoming my most consumed beverage :-/

PotatoPolly · 08/02/2014 07:04

thinking of you Blue Thanks xx

dobe definitely know what you mean about the different movement, I said to dh last night that I think he has less room in there as he's less active now in terms of huge kicks!

Other than those lucky enough to be on a babymoon ( clearly )... What's everyone's plans for the weekend?!

randdom · 08/02/2014 08:07

Hope your mum is ok blue.

We have gone up to Yorkshire to see my in-laws. We haven't seen them since we announced that we were pregnant. There is also now no hiding this bump so I am expecting a very excited reaction.

Spent last night in a premier inn and on waking this morning my back is killing me! Usually I like a firm bed!

Isean · 08/02/2014 08:18

After spending most of the night awake with heartburn and being sick, today I plan to hang out on my sofa watching all the tv from this week I have saved on my Sky+ & catching up on sleep as the insomnia isn't getting any better. Not very rock n roll, but my OH works most weekends & I need a day of rest & relaxation!

Isean · 08/02/2014 08:19

Hope everyone has a lovely restful or fun happy weekend with no dramas or scares! I think we're due it! Smile

Xavielli · 08/02/2014 08:58

I'm going to strip the sofa and wash all the covers and possibly get the carpet cleaner out. I can smell cat wee somewhere!

loopylou52 · 08/02/2014 09:20

Happy weekend everyone! I seem to be getting my first pregnancy cold. Woke up with a horrible sore throat and feeling rubbish, so I'll be giving pilates a miss and laying in bed feeling sorry for myself instead.

xalyssx · 08/02/2014 09:38

Last night I went into labour, so this morning I had an emergency c section... I now have a son called Gabriel. I haven't seen him yet but DP has and he is doing well and so am I.

dobedobedo · 08/02/2014 09:43

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Today we're getting to see baby Jesse again! We got one of those 4D scans on a Groupon deal. Ds is so excited. He's been dying to come to a scan. He came to a private one we got at 7 weeks but of course back then there was just a peanut with a heartbeat!

The scan is in Leicester so we might stop somewhere for some nice food on the way home.

It's also our 4 year anniversary on Monday so I need to get DH a little present. So far I've got him a gift pack from the snore store because apparently that's one pregnancy symptom that's annoying HIM more than me! Grin No idea what else to get him. I know what he'd like, a blowjob but I'd prefer to get him something else Grin

dobedobedo · 08/02/2014 09:45

Wow alyss! ! I posted too soon!

Huge congrats alyss!! Glad to hear both yiu and Gabriel are doing well, and what a fantastic name xx

Happy weekend everyone. I'm working up the enthusiasm to get back up a ladder with a paintbrush. Have to remind myself that once this morning's DIY is done, I can spend the afternoon sat on the sofa, snuggled up watching the storm with crochet, tea and chocolate muffins:)

Vikks · 08/02/2014 09:59

Wow Alyss congratulations on the birth of your son!!! Beautiful name too. So glad you're both doing well, tell us more when you're up to it. X x x
