All of us May mummies are BACK like the Terminator only less deadly (unless preggo rage strikes and we're within waddling distance of sharp things)

Mumof2 maybe private message someone on here and then tell them your Facebook stuff? It's a bit awkward to find as it's a private group I think. I dunno, I'd say look for me but I'm impossible to find as DH has a crazy stalker ex!

LongTailedTit · 06/02/2014 11:39

mumof2 - PM me with your name as it appears on Fcbk and I'll 'friend' you, you accept me as a friend, I'll add you to the MN group, then once you're def on the group (post something like Hello?) I'll unfriend you.
:) x

I'm ready to give up work already! 8 weeks to go :-(

MrsFooCough · 06/02/2014 12:31

Has anyone else had twitchy eyelids? My right one is pissing me right off. It's going crazy. Also, I can't burp. Like I can sometimes, but only RIGHT AFTER A FIZZY DRINK so that doesn't count. Like I'll need a burp, try and do one, and NOTHING.

OP posts:
Isean · 06/02/2014 13:05

MrsFoo I'm the opposite and can't stop burping! It's been like this the whole pregnancy and I was never really one for burping before!

Back from the hospital and at work now after GTT and I feel dreadful. The test itself didn't seem too bad, I quite like Original Lucozade and getting my blood taken doesn't bother me. I had palpitations, felt a bit nauseous, slight headache and baby was going wild while I waited for the 2 hours, and was ok driving back to work. Now I am very shaky, sick, woozy, hot flushes like I'm going to pass out (used to faint regularly so I know all the signs). I've been eating since I left the hosp and hoping I'll feel better shortly.

Was anyone else like this after GTT?

MrsFooCough · 06/02/2014 13:19

Oh isean I was gassy both ends for the first 5mths or so, suddenly now I can't burp properly. IT WAS MY ONE JOY

dobedobedo · 06/02/2014 13:55

Isean I almost fainted right after the GTT. Had to lie down. Hope you feel better soon!

ClearlyMoo · 06/02/2014 14:22

Talking of feeling wobbly I just did "530steps of the tower and ramparts walk" at Warwick castle.

Fit to flop now... Still more to see and I'm thinking I'll deserve CAKE later!

Minions · 06/02/2014 15:00

Cake is an essential part of babymoons clearlymoo because wine isn't ;) Well done on doing it!

NannyPlumForPM · 06/02/2014 16:01

I don't think I do 530 steps in a day at the moment! Am a bit unsure what to do..... I was signed off work for. 2 weeks win pgp but haven't seen a dr or midwife since . So I'm due to go back to work Tuesday - don't work Wednesdays and finish for mat leave on. 14th (Friday) but I'm exhausted, in pain and don't think I can manage the commute or 9 hr working day..... So can I self cert after a sick note or extend it or something? Work have said that it looks like am not coming back so I've effectively done the handover and am not expected back- but it's the NHS so everything needs to be above board iyswim......

Help Grin

ClearlyMoo · 06/02/2014 17:49

Nanny it was 530 steps UP spiral staircases! I think I did well not to explode/give birth/ cry! I am SO tired now! We've put dinner back til 8.30pm as just had a cream tea as a reward!

Sorry to hear about your PGP, can you see doctor/MW again to get signed off for Tues or perhaps go in late, flounce around and leave early since if I understand correctly it's supposed to be your last day anyway?

I don't know about sick leave policy...?!

ClearlyMoo · 06/02/2014 17:50

Minions... Hotel deal came with a bottle of bubbly in room each day.. I'm stockpiling in my suitcase to use as gifts/babies head wetting!

McBaby · 06/02/2014 17:56

nanny Just phone the gp who write your sick note and ask for it to be extended. That's whet I had to keep doing last pregnancy they were happy not to make me go back in again as I was in too much pain.

On a positive note anyone suffering with SPD there is hope I saw an osteopath yesterday and the pain is so much better today. She did some soft tissue work and I am covered in the tape that footballers have to hold the bump in a different position and the difference is amazing.

NannyPlumForPM · 06/02/2014 18:02

Oh fair enough so I can just ring the surgery on Monday or something or tomorrow? Not been signed off before so I don't really know what to do!

McBaby · 06/02/2014 18:14

I can't see why they wouldn't it's only for a few days and they have seen you in last couple of weeks and it's not a condition that goes away easily.

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 06/02/2014 18:49

I'm in a really teary mood this evening, I want to go downstairs and tell my housemates to be a bit more considerate but it'll have no impact at all. One spends all his time watching porn when he isn't having really really loud sex with his girlfriend when she visits, and another spends two hours a night talking to her mum on Skype. It's slowed down the internet so much that I can't even chat to my mum on normal facebook chat for half an hour a day, why does she get to be selfish and video chat every single night when I can't even type to my mum? Sad

ClearlyMoo · 06/02/2014 18:51

Oh Moomin. House share is hard... Can you chat to your Mum via whats app or something or fb over 3G on your phone? Hugs xxx

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 06/02/2014 18:56

I have limited texts and very limited internet on my phone, and it doesn't connect to the Wifi in the house either :( she doesn't have WhatsApp as her phone is quite basic :(

Isean · 06/02/2014 19:49

My bloods came back within range, what a relief!Smile

And I've just been for a lovely relaxing facial and neck & shoulder massage (which I won at a pamper night!), a pedicure & a (not quite so lovely, but essential, Brazilian wax!

dobedobedo · 06/02/2014 19:53

I had physio earlier for the spd / pgp. She said I was hypermobile which makes it all the more worse. She suggested a few exercises I can do but she was pushing me hard to stop working now. I told her that isn't really an option at the minute, so I have to see if I can make any compromises, like by finishing early some days or doing nothing when I finish work. I feel so useless, I don't want to have to rely on dh to do everything at home, but I have to take things a bit easier or I'll not be able to walk by the time the baby gets here!

Off to catch up on the thread now!

MrsFooCough · 06/02/2014 19:56

Oh moomin you're just going to have to come out and say something straightforward about it, tbh. I know it's scary and it might not be very nice, but if you say something like "look, I really need to talk to my mum on Facebook chat for maybe 30mins or so of an evening, maybe you could help by letting me schedule it around your skype calls/"video streaming" ~snigger Hmm ~ and I reckon talking to my mum might help me be a bit more even, emotionally..." Try and sell it like that maybe? I wish you luck, I'm very lucky that I've never had to house share!!!

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 06/02/2014 20:05

Thank you for the suggestion but it won't work with her MrsFoo Sad. She's the sort where her problems outweigh everyone else's - she keeps making snide comments about me not taking the heavy bins out, even though OH does it every week and we're yet to see her actually do it. OH mentioned my neuro referral and she rolled her eyes and said "I get headaches all the time but they haven't referred me!". If I said talking to my mum helps emotionally, she'd say she NEEDS to talk to her mum for two hours a night or she'll spontaneously combust.

Flat viewing on Saturday, it can't come quick enough Grin

hobbjobb · 06/02/2014 22:03

moomin if it were me I would slyly change the wifi password and then deny all knowledge. But I am a passive aggressive bitch Grin
Just breathe deeply and remember it's not important in the grand scheme of things, don't let it upset you. The world is full of arseholes so best not to let it get to you

PotatoPolly · 06/02/2014 22:09

Dobe I feel your pain, I'm hypermobile too!

Moomin sorry to hear you're going through more tough times, fingers crossed for your flat viewing!

ThistleLickerIsGoingToBeAMummy · 06/02/2014 22:31

Today I wished I wasn't pregnant!!! Ffs
