We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

Libee · 19/02/2014 21:33

Congrats Pops

Due date today but still no sign of baby coming out. His head is not even engaged yet. MW is going to give me sweep next week Wednesday.

CubanoHabana · 20/02/2014 03:07

Congrats pops! Hope tonight going well :-)

Ladybird81 · 20/02/2014 05:23

Hi guys!
Currently sat in the hospital with my little bundle of joy!
Laura Beatrice was born on Tuesday 18th February 2014 @ 11.20am.
After much thought they left the descision about the the c-section for DH and I to decide of we wanted to go ahead or not and wait for the infection to clear.
When sounding my chest the wheezing had gone and my sats were ok so we went ahead as there was risk of going into natural labour with could have led to a general which wasn't as safe.
So here we are 2 days later.
Congrats to all those that have had their babies and those labouring and those still waiting......champs are you still waiting?
Will everyone posted, hoping to come home tomorrow but my blood pressure is all over the place so god knows!!

HopeS01 · 20/02/2014 07:04

HUGE congratulations to Pops and ladybird Thanks

I hope you're both recovering quickly and your beautiful babies are doing well.

Such wonderful news Grin x

CubanoHabana · 20/02/2014 07:55

Congrats ladybird!

Sassy20 · 20/02/2014 09:02

Congratulations Ladybird - at least somebody had a baby on my due date! Smile

Littleen · 20/02/2014 10:31

Congrats Ladybird!!

I'm feeling a bit stressy today - my other half has decided he's going for drinks on saturday night. Whilst I normally wouldn't mind at all, it does feel a bit unfair that he's drinking when I'm due on wednesday! But then again, perhaps it will "jinx" it so baby decides to come on saturday, which would be awesome anyway :P I have tons of friends and family / dad who could drive us to the hospital (only 25 mins away) so it's not like we'd be unable to cope with it. But I worry he's going to get properly drunk, but I shouldn't, he very rarely does. Probably just overworrying as per usual.

Oh god, one of my cats just farted next to me. That smells so bad!!

BellaBooo · 20/02/2014 11:48

Congrats Pops and Ladybird! Hope your recoveries are fast. Enjoy your baby cuddles!

How are you Bugsy? Hope things have progressed. I don't think they like you leave you too long after your waters have broken?

There is zero going on here at 39+5....

BellaBooo · 20/02/2014 11:51

Littleen I completely get your worry. I guess if he rarely goes overboard he hopefully wouldn't so close to your due date.

I think your cat is preparing you for things to come! Grin

Sassy20 · 20/02/2014 13:58

Litleen - I'd have a word with him. My dh isn't drinking more than one alcoholic drink a day now till baby arrives so he's fine to drive to hospital and support me. He's happy with this and thinks it's a fair request. There'll be plenty of time later for your oh to go out drinking.

Littleen · 20/02/2014 14:32

Sassy He basically never drinks, so as long as he's not past the point of being useful in a birthing situation I think I'll accept his weekend plans :P We have lots of options in term of transport - the limit here is lower than the UK one, so even 1 pint would be likely to put you above it!

Sassy20 · 20/02/2014 18:45

That's good then. X

KalevalaForMePlease · 21/02/2014 10:57

Hey there, very pleased to announce the birth of Maria Catherine, born 9.32am on 18th February. Labour was fine, used gas and air for a while, then Epidural for the pushing stage due to SPD. She's absolutely gorgeous! We just got home today; I'm exhausted but so glad it's all over. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Littleen · 21/02/2014 11:00

Congrats :D

pettyprudence · 21/02/2014 11:40

contractions started at 9pm-ish and baby betty arrived at 12:30am Grin another due date baby for me. tmi but dtd at 8pm and couldn't believe it actually kicked labour off Shock
home birth with mws arriving 15mins before betty, and a slightly terrified dh who thought he would have to do the deliveryShock got away with no damage but it fecking hurt this time (although no g&a either as no time).

Libee · 21/02/2014 12:32

Congrats Kale and Petty

My waters broke early past in the morning but am at home as no cintractions no pain so playing a waiting game until I go to hospital tomorrow morning.

Good luck to everyone who is in labour

Libee · 21/02/2014 12:33

I meant "contractions"

bugsyburge · 22/02/2014 00:03

Poppy arrived at 2.24am this morning weighing 7lb.9oz.....47 hours after my contractions had begun..... slow progress led to a lot of intervention but all turned out wonderful in the end....we are besotted

Libee · 22/02/2014 02:56

Congratulations Bugsy

I can't believe it's over so quick but my son arrived last night at 11pm weighing 7.1lbs perfectly happy have us a scar when his heart bet went down whilst I was contracting but thank god all ok.

It all happen very quick for me my waters broke at 5 in the morning no pain throughout the day but the contractions slowly started at 5pm gradually increasing every minute by 10pm and within an hour my baby was in my arms

Didn't get a chance to get any painkillers as was 10cm dilated wen I arrived at the hospital

That's my story - positive vibes to everyone who is in labour I am thinking of you all

Littleen · 22/02/2014 10:13

Congratulations!! :)

HopeS01 · 22/02/2014 21:29

Congratulations to everyone whose babies have arrived in the last few days!!! And good luck to everyone still waiting

amhurst · 23/02/2014 09:03

Just to add to arrivals board: our pretty big, 9lb, little boy arrived on Thursday 20.02..delighted, exhausted and slowly getting handle of BF..had forgotten how many separate parts hurt after birth! Congrats to all for new arrivals and good luck to those still waiting..nearly there! (Ps just a little experience to pass to those def getting epidurals, have a familiarity with breathing techniques etc as well - I didn't - and in end had to go without epi, wld have been more prepared if had even a vague plan b worked out - sometimes things go too quickly in labour for the epi! - but all well in end :)

Littleen · 23/02/2014 10:50

Congrats amhurst! :D
