We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

hope they make room for you soon hope.
jojo sale was a disaster - after queuing for 30mins in wind and rain, I got in the shop with minutes to spare before need to leave for my consultant appt and the bastards had taken out all the maternity/breastfeeding dresses/tops/pjs I had gone to stock up on! have been waiting over an hour now to see the consultant too so double grr.

Littleen · 14/02/2014 11:31

Thanks for the advice, ladies! Just got back from my 38 week apt. and gp said the same as you have. I think it makes it loads worse because it's hard to breathe when I sit too, so I never get a break.

Also, baby have been bang on average or slightly below throughout, but suddenly was at the top, nearly in the abnormally large category!! I've gained 1 lbs in the last 10 days, but my bump has been very itchy like when he grows a lot. She said it could possibly be because of the awkward position he's in, and not to worry. But ofcourse I now worry I will have a monsterbaby, but it just seems very strange. Fingers crossed it's his position!

Libee I'm doing the same chanting routine! Got a massive pregnancy pillow which is epic, but I'm not sure how to fit it "under" the bump? Slept on the sofa for a few hours last night, sat leaning sideways with a pillyow on top of the sofa :P Awkward.

Hope Fingers crossed for you!

Petty that's so frustrating :( Have a cookie Biscuit to cheer up! Bastard shoppers eh.

Hey Good to hear from you Champagne, I am so happy for Shrops.

Champs I am only a week behind you and same here no sign of baby hoping he will be out by next Sunday. (here's me hoping). Slowly but surely our babies will get out in the end.

Litleen - I feel for you just hope that your baby moves in a comfortable position so that you can get some sleep.

Petty - shame about the sale :(

pettyprudence · 14/02/2014 13:52

Finally saw the consultant - he was lovely and perplexed as to why I was there (that made 2 of us!). Baby is measuring bang on averge and head was very firmly 2/5 engaged (he showed the student how it wouldn't move at all). Both mine and babies bladders were full, I possibly have a uti though. My weight gain pushes me just over the line for homebirth but the consultant said that due to my previous history I am still a much lower risk mum to be than a first timer with a good bmi so I was signed off. A huge relief!

Oh and my friend texted me to say that all the bf clothing was in another building during the last sale and should have been sign posted... I was going to drive back to newport but have come home for a nap instead!

Libee · 14/02/2014 14:30

Oh Petty that such great news. Shame you had to go through all that strain especially when you don't need it. :)
Doh for the misposting of sign in regards to clothing - never mind, think the nap is more essential than anything else atm.

lyndsey90 · 14/02/2014 14:39

Getting fed up of random back contraction like pains! Wish I knew what was going on down there. Had an awful nights sleep for waking up with radiating pains across my lower back.. weeh!!!

Littleen · 14/02/2014 15:09

Petty Great news! So happy for you :)

Lyndsey Hope it leads to something for you soon, time to get out now, babies!

Had a loovely 2 hour nap, propped up with 4 pillows and leaning in on the side on them.. Very awkward, but I did sleep. Woop

bugsyburge · 15/02/2014 10:48

how's everyone feeling today? I've got no twinges or anything so don't think I'll be any time soon although would quite like it to be either this weekend or next weekend (but not during the week as I have my MIL funeral next Friday & I want to be focused on DH!!)

lyndsey90 · 15/02/2014 11:03

Hi, I had my baby at 11:18 last night... I had back contractions so didn't know what was going on till POP my waters went and I was having contractions every 2 mins, got to hospital fully dilated and BOOM 25 mins later, baby!!! I was in total shock when midwife told me to just do what I feel is right and puuuuush!! Haha. Had no painkillers, not even paracetamol :D x x

CubanoHabana · 15/02/2014 11:22

Congratulations Lyndsey! That's amazing!

Sassy20 · 15/02/2014 12:21

Congratulations Lyndsey. Sounds like an ideal birth. X

Littleen · 15/02/2014 12:26

Oh wow, congratulations Lyndsey! :D

LittlePandaBear · 15/02/2014 15:15

Congratulations Lindsay! Have you had a boy or girl? Xx

lyndsey90 · 15/02/2014 15:25

I had a girl, 6lb 13oz named Lily :) She's taking bfing like a champ :)

BellaBooo · 15/02/2014 15:48

Congrats Lyndsey! Sounds like a good birth in all.

Sorry to hear about your MIL bugsy I know you thought it was imminent. Hope you and your DH are coping as well as can be expected. Thanks

rueyrichardson · 15/02/2014 18:58

Congrats Lynsey, sounds like an amazingly quick process! Lovely name too. My waters went in the night last night and I am madly bouncing through contractions to make them "productive", otherwise I have to go to hospital on Monday for augmentation. Really want to avoid that if I can! How's everyone else doing this weekend?

rueyrichardson · 15/02/2014 18:59

Ps sorry too about your MIL Bugsy. Hugs to you and DH x

EeyoreIsh · 15/02/2014 20:28

congratulations lyndsay, that's amazing!

Littleen · 15/02/2014 23:09

Ohh, keep us posted then, Ruey !

I've been taken out for a gorgeous indian meal and lots of girly chats tonight with a friend of mine :) She's so sweet to treat me to it (I'm broke lol) so was a really good night.

Come home to my other half hanging up our curtains which we've waited two months for, so I'm really chuffed with that! (Yes, when I finally decided what I wanted, they had to order more in so we had to wait several weeks!)
It's really handy, as the last two weeks I've slept on the sofa because it's so hard to breathe, only sat up works. Which is quite awkward when people can look in. Luckily I wake up before anyone else does :P

Tomorrows agenda is to clean the cotbed, after it's been 16 years in the attic. Then I can make the bed for little one :D

Also need to find the seat straps for the carseat... took it all off to wash, and can find everything apart from the straps... -.-

pettyprudence · 16/02/2014 07:54

What a lovely night littleeen!

Good luck ruey

I spent last night vomiting. Either because I ate too much Blush or I did a load of batch cooking yesterday and I have somehow given myself food poisoning but as it was vegetable chili not sure how so I think it was stuffing my face silly that did it! Typically its my turn to get up with ds this morning and he keeps prodding me to wake up on the sofa!

HopeS01 · 16/02/2014 09:08

Lyndsey! huge huge huge congratulations! That sounds perfect!

I had my baby on Friday too! A little boy, Hugo Oliver.
Had my waters broken at 4.30pm, was in established labour by 5.30pm and he was born at 9.04pm!
A family legend at 10lbs 3!!! The midwife even weighed him twice because she couldn't believe it!
As you can imagine, I've been left with a few battle scars (it door the Dr over an hour to stitch me up- worse part of the whole experience!!!) but he is absolutely perfect and the trauma is fading very quickly!

Managed to get my first hour of sleep this morning (since Thursday night). I can still hardly believe he's real!

Sending you all lots of hope that your babies will arrive soon Thanks

HopeS01 · 16/02/2014 09:09

That should be "it took the Dr"
