Just had my booking in appointment with midwife - whoa that was a long one!!! She said I should get a scan in the next two weeks- my form for scan has been dropped off at the hospital, and so the appointment will be posted out tomorrow Grin also got to go for bloods on Tuesday, and another midwife appointment in February!! Got my notes too - got to carry them round everywhere. Feels very real now Smile

Metalhead · 16/01/2014 17:23

Sorry about your bad news sebs, hope you're ok.

That's good about your scan Bex! I'm still waiting to get my appt letter through. Midwive said if it hasn't come by middle of next week to call them so they can chase it up, though tbh by then I might just go private after all as I don't think I can contain my impatience for much longer!

I've felt really awful all day, can't wait to go to bed...

Oh my! Just seen this on my friend's Facebook feed. Incredible (but sad and very tear inducing!)

Cindy5389 · 16/01/2014 18:25

So sorry to hear ur news sebsmummy! Feeling sick big time now. Had to go to the dentist today which was horrible. Thought I was going to be sick the whole time i was there.. Finally booked appt with the mw, 11th Feb.. Does anyone know if u will receive a 12th week scan date now u have booked with the mw, or do u have to wait for the appt?

BexBoo12 · 16/01/2014 18:28

Cindy if your appointment system is like our system, I had my booking in app today and midwife fills the form in to request a scan date

Cindy5389 · 16/01/2014 18:41

Thanks bexboo12 :) Anyone on here live in Norfolk? There prob isn't, but was looking at the local site of mumsnet and the only threads r on high schools. Would b nice to know if anyone on here lives near me.

littlemissy1234 · 16/01/2014 18:49

Hello everyone, can I join? Found out on Sunday and I reckon I'm 4+4 weeks. Had a miscarriage in October at 10 weeks so I'm not getting too comfy yet. I wish the NHS offered early scans after you had a miscarriage - the next 8 weeks will be a nightmare! I'm going to try and read back and catch up with everyone and everything going on!

oooh that makes due date 22nd Sept

Mintberry · 16/01/2014 18:54

I suppose I had better check in because I got a surprise BFP this afternoon! I have worked it out on the Baby Centre calculator as being about 5 weeks, so should be due mid September. Getting on the folic acid tomorrow. I still need to ring up and get a midwife appt, and I haven't told anybody yet, not even DP. That is another ASAP job, no idea how he will take it. I have taken to Mumsnet so I don't go mad with no one to tell in real life!

I am getting some symptoms, no sickness thank god but I have dull abdominal pain and my stomach/bowels (tmi) are making noises like there is some kind of wild cat living in there. My boobs are sensitive but not painful. Actually, there is an improvement in that department - my left boob has always been smaller than my right, but now it has inflated so that they match. Smile

So sorry to hear that Seb. Hope you cope okay and have good luck in future.

cookielove · 16/01/2014 18:58

Hello all, it's so odd being at the end of the month and playing the waiting game. The last one of these i was on I was due on the 4th so was doing even first.

I am not going to bother calling the docs for a while, as last time he told me to let them know when I was about 7 weeks and then we can get the ball rolling. However when I had my mac they did offer me to be scanned early on my next pregnancy and gave me a number to call so will be sorting that around 6-7 weeks just gotta wait it out now! I think I am 4 weeks today!

Seriously still can't believe I'm pregnant!

Sebsmummy sorry to hear your news!

Mintberry · 16/01/2014 18:59

Ooh Cindy I missed your post - I am in Norwich area!

Cindy5389 · 16/01/2014 19:11

No way Mintberry! I am in Norwich too and I am 5 weeks today :)

Purple37 · 16/01/2014 19:19

Hi ladies, went to docs today following my spotting from last Thursday to Sunday. Have to wait til late next week to have a scan to see if I am still pregnant. So fed up and upset, this waiting is killing me.

bugoven · 16/01/2014 19:31

hubby I so want a cat maisonette now.

Sorry to hear of those of you with worries. I was devastated by my loss after 2 years ttc but 4 months later I have just seen a little tiny fetal pole with a healthy heartbeat. There is so much to be hopeful and thankful for Xx

Hubbythecatandme · 16/01/2014 19:35

bugoven hilarious watching the cat lying on his balcony when it's pouring down! But he prefers that to not being allowed out because it's too wet hehe!!!

iwantittobepink · 16/01/2014 19:42

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining!
I am 23, first time pregnancy, 5 weeksish gone... apparently due september 17th which had us giggling as its def a xmas day baby!
Just wonderin has anyone else been full of energy? I seem to be going the other way when it comes to tiredness and where I work a split shift day of 18 hours, in my gap i can't nap and find it hard to sleep at night! Congrats to everyone else in the same boat :)

topmammy · 16/01/2014 19:44

hubby that cat house of yours looks amazing haha!! I think my cats would like that too. Not that DH would want to spend cash on a cats house lol.

Dinah I have really been fancying horseradish sauce too! How come some advice says not to eat it if pg? My EDD is 28th August too technically but like you I think it's later so have given myself 3rd September for now!

Thinking of you sebs Thanks

I felt soo tired this morning and a bit sick which doesn't usually happen till later in the day. Started taking the register in ny class by saying good afternoon so yep was definitely feeling like I needed to go back to bed lol.

LH1981 · 16/01/2014 20:02

Bexboo, glad your appt went well - boo on not getting a scan straight away, but hopefully not a long wait. Exciting!!

Sorry Seb, so hope it's just a bit of implantation. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm soooo hungry at the moment - I'm eating like a horse!!

Jemma2907 · 16/01/2014 20:07

I just got home from work and begged my DH to go and get me chips and curry sauce.... We'll not really begged... Moaned, pouted and said that if I couldn't have that, I don't want anything. Moody demanding cow today apparently!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 16/01/2014 20:18

Hi ladies just checking in :)

Sebsmummy I hope you're okay, fingers crossed that it's just Implantation Thanks

Been out for a meal with my boys and my god I feel the size of a house now lol. Anyone else really bloated? My tummy is looking huge {obviously I know that's not cos of the baby yet, but I read progesterone makes you bloat?} family are visiting at the end of February and at this rate they'll be able to tell straight away that I'm preg lol. Counting down the days til mw appt, my moods have been horrendous, feel sorry for OH bearing the brunt of it lol xx

Hope everyone is okay xx

Cindy5389 · 16/01/2014 20:35

Missbrightside I feel bloated too. my stomach looks really big. I am so worried that someone will notice and say something at work. I'm a really bad liar and if someone evens mentions pregnancy I'm sure I will turn bright red and everyone will know.. Me and dh haven't told anyone else yet. We want to wait til scan but if I really start to show, might not b able to wait that long.. My mood Swings were so bad the first few weeks. I think they r calming down a little bit, poor dh lol.

Mummyinpink1289 · 16/01/2014 20:54

I feel huge too atm, not sure wether its due to bloating or the fact that since i got back from my honeymoon iv put on half a stone! The topic of pregnancy comes up daily at work so iv had to learn a pretty good poker face to avoid being sussed! No one suspects me i dont think, so theyl be pretty shocked when they find out.

Firstimemum3 · 16/01/2014 21:02

sebsmummy thinking of you.

broodylicious · 16/01/2014 21:13

I actually look as big as I did at 14/16 weeks with my first!! I have felt pregnant today for the first time. Still no sickness or nausea and boobs aren't mega sore and don't have the dizziness I had a few weeks back.... In fact, if it wasn't for the bump already there, I would actually think I'd been dreaming all of this up!!

Still got two weeks to midwife/booking in appt. I'm hoping she may call the hospital while I'm there to make the appt for the scan as DH works shifts so it'd give him lots of time for changing/swapping if needs be.

I'd like to book an early scan for reassurance (due to no real symptoms this time around) but I don't think it would do much good tbh - I've read mc happen mostly up to 12 weeks so I'd perhaps only be setting myself up for a bigger fall iyswim? Plus, with one of our former ladies (sorry, I can't remember who) saying she's still not bled yet a week after mc, it just worries me to death.

Sorry, wasn't supposed to get all morbid and scare mongering there. It's just my way of speaking about my worries as no one apart from dh knows in rl and I don't want to burden him with all this.

topmammy · 16/01/2014 21:18

I am ridiculously bloated right now. I can't stand up straight, too painful Blush It's my own fault though probably as I had a whole fish and too many chips from the chippy for tea. Jemma I ordered curry sauce too but when I got home discovered the lady had given me gravy!! Was probably a bit too devastated about this than is normal, but I blame pregnancy hormones! But seriously, who would order gravy to have with fish and chips?! (No offence though if you do, hehe)
