Ooh ok.

Did see local midwife for a referral as gp said she had to do it.
Last time I ended up in hdu :(
Patsy was my midwife and I was one of the last ones she was doing the last of her student deliveries.
All I remember shouting at her ws get your hands of my faj Hmm I said it a few times and when I finally looked she didn't have her hands there lol.

hereshoping2014 · 12/01/2014 14:24

Hello everyone.
I have been doing a bit of researching/obsessing and wondered if anyone out there is in the same boat....I have had two m/c confirmed by GP and they were prob chemical m/c. Does anyone know if your chances of carrying to term are a little higher if the m/c was chemical I.e. occurred before implanting?I'm probs grasping at straws here but any thoughts much appreciated!x

waffles1990 · 12/01/2014 14:28

hahaha isitme that really made me laugh!! I don't know a Patsy though, perhaps she got a job elsewhere.
sorry to hear you ended up in HDU. Hopefully this time round is a better experience :)

Choccy yes keep taking the aspirin, then when you go for 12 week scan ask mw or consultant at that appointment re:carrying on or stopping

Sleepisf0rwimps · 12/01/2014 14:40

Ah waffles you are good with all these questions.

None from me for the time being. I'm currently trying to decide which hospital to go for!

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 15:24

Waffles can I just say a bit thank you for being so good in answering all our questions, you're so kind to take the time to do it. Thank you xxx

waffles1990 · 12/01/2014 15:30

aww it's not a problem :)

Takes my mind off this nausea a bit!

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 16:36

Ok, own up ladies, who was it that mentioned cheese toasties? After reading that this morning, I have now eaten every scrap of cheese and bread in the house in the form of toasties!!! Non nom nom x

Hello, everyone - my these threads move fast! I have given up trying to catch up with everything on the other thread tbh!

Last week I went back to work after six months off with my dodgy hip (nursery teacher). It was great and I had been looking forward to it, but tbh now I know I am pregnant I really wish I had just stayed off! I still have loads of physio to do daily and between that, work, DS and ever mounting nausea I am a bit worried about coping. And I am soooooooo tired! It took us a year to conceive DS and I expected the same this time - not first month of trying - yikes. Really feel unprepared for being back at work with morning sickness! Luckily I work in a term time only nursery so quite a lot of hol - but I am already thinking roll on June and the end of the summer term.

Went to see an obstetrician the other day (we don't see midwives here until delivery! I d love a waffles of my own). She is British and has a great reputation but tbh she made me feel a bit of a plonker for seeing her at 6 weeks. Tbh I only wanted to talk over the issues related to my hip replacement but she was quite dismissive. Luckily given that it's all private here I can change doctors at any time. Scan in two weeks!

My stats

Age 34, will be 35 next month, DH soon to be 38
EDD 7 sept (will likely be a section at 39 weeks tho)
Kids 1 DS, 3
Live - dubai
Nursery Teacher

isitme1 · 12/01/2014 17:16

Ah wow. Dubai.
Me and dh would love to go there on holiday! !
Can we come and live with you lol

ThisIsMeNow · 12/01/2014 17:46

Can anyone please reassure me that at 5 weeks it's perfectly normal to not have any symptoms?! I've utterly convinced myself today that I've either imagined it all or something's gone horribly wrong. Sad

broodylicious · 12/01/2014 17:55

thisisme - exactly my concerns. I was sick as a dog with dd right from conception but hardly even feeling queasy with this. I know it is possible for two pregnancies to be totally different but I shan't be convinced until I see that heartbeat on the scan.

Ellisisland · 12/01/2014 18:07

Hi all!
I got my BFP today and am 5 weeks. I had a bit of a stressful week as AF was due last week and test came up negative. 4 tests later still negative but after a few days of no AF my DH told me to stop moping and go and buy a proper test! Bought an expensive clear blue one today and got my BFP! that will teach me to buy sainsburys cheapos!

SO these are my stats

Age 30 DH 30
EDD 19 Sept
Kids 1 DS age 2 in Feb
Live in Wiltshire
HR Manager

Not told anyone yet, going to wait till 12 weeks. Have a very jealous SIL who has form of booking her wedding a week after ours and then getting pregnant the month after we were with DS1 so keeping the news to ourselves for a drama free time for a little bit first! Though I see my mum a lot as she looks after DS a few days a week so she will probably guess

topmammy · 12/01/2014 18:21

Thisisme I didn't have any symptoms really at 5 weeks, apart from occasional cramps that lasted a few seconds. Wasn't until 6 weeks I started to feel nauseous. Which is how I feel right now :( Got a pile of ironing to do, need to wash my hair and try and eat something but I am stuck on the sofa!

Everything I think of to eat makes me feel sick, even my trusty chicken dippers! any suggestions of what works for you when feeling sick ladies?

topmammy · 12/01/2014 18:22

Welcome Ellisisland :)!

sleepynut · 12/01/2014 18:32

thisisme and broodylicious, feeling the same here too. Have a few symptoms but never thought I would actually want to feel sick! :/

Ellisisland · 12/01/2014 18:33

Thanks topmammy! When I was nauseous the only think I could eat were plain ready salted crisps. I had a stack in my desk drawer at work as they were the only thing that would stop me from wanting to vomit

ThisIsMeNow · 12/01/2014 18:34

Thanks broody and topmammy. I just can't remember for the life of me when it started with dd and I just feel so worried. I'm having af type cramps still but not as often.
Just really worried.

topmammy · 12/01/2014 18:45

I know it's hard but try not to worry too much and just enjoy not feeling sick! It's reassuring yes but I just feel rather miserable at the mo and frustrated that I'm not getting things done.

rockin20s · 12/01/2014 19:01

Oh I really want a glass of wine!! Have a lasagna in the oven and its screaming for a glass of red wine

topmammy · 12/01/2014 19:25

Only about 9 months to wait rockin! Actually..... that has got me wondering, can you drink alcohol at all while breast feeding?

broodylicious · 12/01/2014 19:34

Haha ellis! I always joke that with my first, I only ate beige food for the first four months - crisps (plain though, not any flavour), sausage rolls, bread, toast, breadsticks, pasta, cous cous etc. Only colour I could stomach, in droves, was orange in the form of calippo ice lollies! Worked a treat at keeping the sickness away though!

Fairypants · 12/01/2014 19:39

Last time I was bf'ing it was considered ok to have the odd drink but too much was rumoured to give baby tummy ache. You can express if you want a couple of drinks thoughSmile
I'm really hoping to start feeling rubbish soon. I'm so worried after last time and would feel more confidant if I felt worse iyswim.

rockin20s · 12/01/2014 19:41

Ya I feel the same my cramping isn't as bad today compared to the last week.....never thought of want morning sickness

BexBoo12 · 12/01/2014 19:49

Evening all x

Welcome to our newbies! And congratulations!!

Those if you worrying about lack of symptoms, can I join your club?! It's all I ever talk about on here lol. I've got midwife appointment on Thursday so hopefully she can reassure me, and if she does I will reassure you in return!! I literally cannot stop eating, help...

waffles1990 · 12/01/2014 19:56

bexboo sorry it was me with the cheese toastie Blush

Today iv managed to eat a KFC popcorn chicken meal (mmmm could eat it again) then me and OH went round to my parents and had a Sunday dinner! AND chocolate cake with ice cream! Even the thought of that this morning would have made me heave.

It's tricksy this nausea though, it does improve after eating.
