I should too booby

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:23

i knew bacause i was walking across the kitchen when he did. one second i was fine, the next i had the very distinct 'theres a head between my legs' sensation! i'm quite thin (normally) so theres not much padding between me and baby so i can feel pretty much everything. when i was 25 weeks and he turned head down he got stuck lying across my tummy and not only could i feel it really strongly, dp could see him too!

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:24

pragnant brain keeps forgetting to buy the bags

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:26

Right... I havent had a moment like that. My friend did and she is very thin too - I am average, but although I USED to be very thin I am not anymore! That must have been weird seeing your baby laying across you like that.

Guess what, Sal was feeling my tummy last night and he was like 'what's this bit with all the ridges?' and we followed it all around my bump - it was the umbilical cord!!! Seriously! So weird!

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:30

wow how fab

chris loves playing with my bump now hes found he can tickle her and she moves it hurts me but he loves it so i let him get on with it

he loves watching her roll around

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:31

so cute... she 'helped' me clean... she dusted with the fluffy duster and she takes the spray bottle of window cleaner and holds it up making this adorable little 'pssst' noise as she can't actually pull the handle!

also following me trying to explain to her last week that the baby will be drinking mlk from mommies boobs like she did she's now taking to holding her teddy up to my boob to 'nurse' every morning! very cute, and quite a relief that she has no interest herself

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:32

when did you finish bf her then was it not long ago

OP posts:
PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:33

wow, hadn't even occured to me that the umbilacal cord could be right at the surface like that, how cool! (desperately pokes tummy to see if she can feels Los umbilacal)

eenywifemum · 23/07/2006 00:34

aww Pink she sounds so adorable!! I get all loved up feeling when I think of children like that, and I so cant wait to have Alex!

Booby I know what you mean, I let Sal mess with Alex sometimes when it hurts because it makes him so happy! And to be honest I hurt anyway so we may as well get some good out of it!

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:34

when she was 12 months and i was 3 months preg. she wasn't overly pushed tbh, i was far more upset!

eenywifemum · 23/07/2006 00:35

Pink it never occurred to us either!! its gone now, we cant feel it but it was right at the surface for a long time last night! it was all knobbly... and we could move our finger along the length of it. most bizarre!

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:36

they told me at the scan that my placenta is at the back so mine would probably be at the back too i'd imagine. just as long as this baby doesn't get tangled in it like dd did.

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:37

pinky was u using anything or were trying to get pregnant
its just im worried re getting preg again after but want to bf and not give up sex

OP posts:
PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:37

oh, i've just realised dd's 18 month b-day is tomorrow (today even)!

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:38

pinky sorry to be so personal

OP posts:
PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:40

nope, took us 2 years to get preg with dd so weren't using anything as we didn't think anything would happen that quickly. hadn't had a period yet and weren't exactly having lots of sex what with bf-ing and co-sleeping with dd! sods law really!

PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:40

not persoanl sweetie, you're a mate!

eenywifemum · 23/07/2006 00:41

booby there are LOADS of birth controls you can use. I cant use anything with estrogen because I have a serious migraine condition & it could give me a stroke. So I have to use a progesterone based birth controll which is still pretty common. I think I am going to go for the injections you get once every 3 months as I am scared of implants.

ooh Pink happy 18 month birthday to your DD!

eenywifemum · 23/07/2006 00:42

wow Pink! I've heard that its easier to get pregnant 2nd time around especially shortly after your first birth as you are all open and soft.

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:43

scary or what we'd been trying for ages then i had to go on the pill coz of some medication i was taking so i came off thepill then had the bleed then got pregnant dodgy or what

OP posts:
PinkTulips · 23/07/2006 00:44

going to go for the mirena as it's supposedly the most effective next to sterilisation. we're sure we don't want more if it's a boy, and pretty sure we don't even if it's a girl but we're both very young to think about permanenet solutions and we can't be trusted to take pills or use condoms!

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:44

i used the pop coz of migraines too but dont have the injection eeny it makes you fat and it freaked me out nt having periods

OP posts:
eenywifemum · 23/07/2006 00:44

there often seems to be no rhyme or reason about when people get pregnant.

Well ladies sadly I have to go to bed - Sal is sleepy and I dont want him to go to bed without me tonight

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/07/2006 00:45

nighty night both of you
