You other mothers can't deny,
When a girl walks in with an ever expanding waist
And a round thing in your face
You....'d better give her some cake....

etc, etc,

New thread! Enjoy!

I've got my secret santa sorted too - had a moment of inspiration at the shops yesterday. Now just need to break my bad habit of leaving it until after the last posting date to send it on its way.Blush

One thing I failed on yesterday was getting hold of my mum to be bounty pack. I've had the voucher since july and haven't found anyone with any stock. I know it's just a marketing thing, but I want that free sachet of stretch mark cream and tenalady now that it's been dangled in front of me and will feel hard done by if I don't get it! Have any of you had any luck?

Stuffed after my pub lunch and just waiting for dh to stop playing with the fire before I sit down with a coffee and a book and relax for a couple of hours. The only thing that would make for a more chilled out evening would be a bit of Wine and Cake there would be cake in the house if I hadn't eaten it all yesterday Hope you're all having good weekends Smile

barebranches · 30/11/2013 16:35

I got my secret santa sorted too! Also spent too much money in mothercare on tiny cute stuff! Grin
thanks for the Dtd tips!

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 30/11/2013 16:40

Littleen re DTD it was just so uncomfortable all the way through - I hated it Sad And I was the same with the last pregnancy so just going to abstain now. Hopefully will only be pregnant for another 7-8 weeks and then (if I manage to not tear this time) we can hopefully get back on track in the spring Smile

misskatamari · 30/11/2013 16:46

Gosh cubano - how the heck do they lose the vaccine? I think wc needs to be kept refrigerated so shouldn't be easy to lose (not sure if it's the case for all vaccines but I remember mw saying that one might be cold).

Thanks for all the DTD tips - I should probably actually try to be bothered this weekend. Hardly seen DH recently as he's working on deadline so it's just been sleeping for us for ages. Including today when we've just had a nice afternoon nap after playing the new Mario game Grin

Does anyone else find they drool bloody loads now when they sleep? It's so gross and only since being Preggo! Very weird! Urgh I picked up a light coloured vest id worn to sleep in yesterday too and found some weird round stain marks at around boob level which I can only assume are from some leakage! God I'm painting an attractive picture aren't i!

Somany im constantly bending etc and squishing the baby but she seems okay so far - I think they have plenty of cushioning so should all be fine Smile

I'm getting more "when are you due?"s now as well - although I think it's more the waddle than bump that alerts people. They do seen a bit Shock when I say feb (but it is 1st of feb!) - I think lots of people just don't know how massive people actually get when they are 40 weeks Preggo! Imagine the comments we will all be getting by chrimbo! Confused

Hope you're all having lovely Saturdays!

jazzcat28 · 30/11/2013 16:55

I am a bit worried about weight gain in the coming weeks... my pregnancy book says we put on 10-12lbs in the 3rd trimester (and that must be for average ladies - I reckon I could do at least another half stone on top!)

misskat leakage sounds annoying - thankfully one symptom I haven't had yet.

EeyoreIsh · 30/11/2013 18:34

jazz I'm sure your weight gain is fine, as long as you're eating reasonably sensibly it'll be fine. Your body is storing what it needs for baby and for breastfeeding.

I've just eaten masses. went for a meal out and had half a chicken, then I polished off everyone else's chipsBlush they were so good.

I bought the secret santa gift today, just need to wrap it and send it from somewhere confusing :)

DH has carried on the lunchtime drinking with my dad, brother and bil. He'll be wasted, despite being a big chap he really can't handle his drink as much as he thinks. As long as he's not too hungover for ikea tmw I don't mind!

camwombat · 30/11/2013 19:37

Eeyore hope you buy non-alcoholic mulled wine in Ikea. I've added it to my list to buy tomorrow, now we have to go as DS and a standing lamp had a disagreement today Sad

You are all very organised with your presents, even planning on posting them from elsewhere!

I've just bought via eBay a little life travel cot, as we had a graco loan one last time. My poor bro has volunteered to pick it up on his way home from work next week for me. Grin

notoneforselfies · 30/11/2013 19:49

Just back from hospital - hadn't felt The Boy properly for 24 hours (despite several cans of full fat coke, lie-downs etc) which is very out of character as he's normally such a strong little hyperactive one, but thankfully all seems to be fine. Had me on a trace for an hour and his heart rate is normal. Think he might have just changed positions perhaps. Midwife was lovely, and back there for a tour of the mlu tomorrow! I walked about half a mile today and really suffering for it in my lower back and lower bump. Anyone got a support belt from the high street they can recommend?

EeyoreIsh · 30/11/2013 19:59

notone glad to hear everything is ok and they took it seriously. I hope baby gives you some obvious wiggles soon.

Sassy20 · 30/11/2013 21:04

Marking place x

Sassy20 · 30/11/2013 21:14

Had a chance to catch up now.

MissKat - another drooler here! It's delightful isn't it - I keep waking up and having to turn my pillow over. Confused

Dtd - another spoon or Shock doggy Shock. Funding that more up for it this time round than was when preg with dd.

Tight - I too got a bad pair of h&m tights and wouldn't recommend at all as the wouldn't stay over bump (when it wasn't as big as it is now) and were horrible. I got some mothercare ones and I'd recommend those. X

laura0007 · 30/11/2013 23:10

No tone glad there is nothing to worry about! They do like to panic us these babies!
DTD... What's that? I can't remember Wink

pettyprudence · 30/11/2013 23:34

DTD: anything except straight up (or down!) missionary is doable isn't it? This pg and last pg though I cannot tolerate foreplay as its all a bit extra sensitive down there and the boobs are off limits as they are too sensitive too. GRR. That reminds me to set some time aside when dh gets back tomorrow....

tights: I am just over 5'4" and my h&M tights are rubbish. Mothercare have been ok.

Baby was making it very hard for me to balance on top of the ladder today (stripping dining room walls and ceiling) as I kept getting booted :D

winterflowers · 30/11/2013 23:57

Glad he's all ok notone it's so worrying when they go awol. Am glad they checked you out properly as well.

I've got my secret santa also, well it's veen purchased and am waiting for it to be delivered. Then working out the posting game also ( although I think there's enough of us in and around london to remain vaguely anonymous).

sunflowered I haven't even been given the bounty vouchers by my mw let alone found somewhere to exchange them grrr.

Way past my bedtime now, night all x

sunflowered · 01/12/2013 00:07

Glad everything seems ok notone Smile

Winter - think you can also register for bounty vouchers online. You don't have to miss out on the free stuff random small packets of vaguely baby related marketing ploys

Petty - be careful up that ladder!

Despite spending most of today horizontal with a good book, I feel like I've just been for a long ride on a bike with a very uncomfortable saddle. Is this normal?! Have been doing lots of pelvic floor squeezes to try and work it off.

EeyoreIsh · 01/12/2013 08:55

Morning preggos Smile

I'm 31 weeks today which means only 9 (ish) weeks to go! and only 3 weeks of work left.

My pregnancy app basically said at this stage my body is screwed so baby can grow, and grow, and grow!

Off to ikea and kiddicare soon, with a hungover DH... It'll be a miracle if we don't have an argument at some point!

misskatamari · 01/12/2013 09:37

Notone - I'm glad baby is okay. They're a worry aren't they!

Petty - gosh you're brave decorating. Id be scared of falling off as I'm so clumsy now!

I think nesting instinct might be starting. I just want to get home and clean the house and chuck stuff out!!! I'm resisting the cooked breakfast today too woo hoo - but am now determined to atleast try and get something vaguely like my money's worth out of the continental. That will be 3 bowls of cereal and 10 slices of toast then Grin

misskatamari · 01/12/2013 09:38

Good luck at ikea Eeyore - get hubby some meatballs and all will be well!

LovesToBake · 01/12/2013 09:52

Eeyore best of luck for Ikea - we rarely manage a harmonious trip and I don't think either of us has ever been hungover, you're a braver woman than I! In fact we're planning to do an online order for the things we need for DS' new bedroom and have it delivered. Figured we'd need a van anyway so by the time we factor in petrol, van delivery and faff factor, the delivery cost will actually be cheaper thank goodness!

Notone - very glad to hear all is ok and the hospital were nice. Hope the tour goes well today.

I've got my Christmas cake in the oven (after 4 weeks of the fruits soaking in brandy and sugar syrup) so feeling very productive. Need to send DH up into the loft later to fish out the Christmas box, hoping I might have leftover cards and maybe some wrapping paper from last year but can't remember and think it's probably wishful thinking.

MissKat - not surprised you're itching to get home and get nesting how much longer in the hotel? Yesterday afternoon after a busy and tiring day out, I was chilling out on my bed while DS played in my room. This involved him emptying my entire underwear, socks and 'miscellaneous' drawers by my bed, total carnage but I didn't care as I had my feet up. The plus side was I'd been meaning to sort out and declutter those drawers for a while, so I got to do that once he was in bed. The strange things that make me happy these days!

EeyoreIsh · 01/12/2013 10:20

DH seems to be coping ok so far... but we've not made it to ikea yet! Our small car is already full of nappies and other baby things that my sister got me at a massively reduced price, so there's not much space for new things. I shall focus on the non alcoholic mulled wine Grin and put DH in the restaurant with meatballs and the free coffee refills whilst I shop!

breakfast of fruit salad and pork pie is entirely normal and balanced, right? missk, make the most of the breakfasts while you can!

misskatamari · 01/12/2013 10:31

lol that sounds like a fun game lovesto! Smile Hopefully well be home on Tuesday and the cleaning and tidying can commence! Awww the poor cats are only allowed in the kitchen due to all the painting and DH just sent me a piccie of one of them sitting on a blanket under a chair which I made as a crappy makeshift bed. Hmm I miss my babies!!!!! They're so sad when we go home and visit them. Need to buy them lots of treats when we return!

Eeyore - your breakfast sounds entirely balanced and reasonable. You'll have to let us know if the nonalcoholic mulled wine is good! Did someone say m+S has tasty nonalcoholic champagne too? After my tiny taste of the real thing yesterday I'm gonna need a bottle of something fizzy for chrimbo day!

Littleen · 01/12/2013 10:52

notone glad to hear baby is fine despite moving elsewhere!

eeyeore good luck and have fun in ikea ;D Had to just leave our attempt in furniture shops yesterday, as my other half was hungry = grumpy, so agree on misskat's comment to get him meatballs!

misskat would you like to borrow my 3 cats? They are absolutely doing my head in at the moment, so needy, and I just want some peace and quiet!

If the non-alcoholic mullet wine in ikea is "jule gløgg" then it's gooorgeous :) it's what we drink here, and add wine if we fancy!

CubanoHabana · 01/12/2013 10:55

We are also off to ikea today and m&p and mothercare... Hoping to pick up secret Santa today but have come to an absolute blank on what to get!

My breakfast consisted of about 10 flapjack bites from morrisons... Mmm!

Glad everything went well at hospital notone

Aw misskat I know exactly how that cat guilt feels, but if it makes you feel any better, ours was back to his usual imperial self within a couple of days of us being home.

Notone sorry you had a scare and glad that they took it seriously and all seems okay. Hope your insides are getting a battering today :)

Eeyore good luck...it will all be worth it when you get your hands on the mulled wine.

sunflowered I've had some internal vaginal pains a bit like bike riding, is that what you mean? They've always passed pretty quickly.

I tried the Coppella Winter Warmer apple juice heated up the other day and it was really nice, not a great substitute for mulled wine but an acceptable one.

Feeling a bit bummed today, after exciting first of December start. The house still isn't finished, and probably won't be for another fortnight. We were meant to be visit the lovely birth centre today but they have a woman in labour so we can't go (completely understandable - but disappointing nonetheless, as weekends are full for rest of the month). Lunch was projectile vomited up. Going to a Thanksgiving dinner later and I burnt the pie crusts so my pies look crap. DH and I in a bit of a mood with each other because I've taken all this out on him.

Okay, writing out those 'problems' has made me realise how pathetic I am being. I shall blame hormones and feel lucky enough that my cat is here to snuggle up with! [tchbiscuit]
