Lol at comedy knockers! I am a bit worried about mine as although my chest is expanding its only one of them- happened last time too and I was very uneven throughout pregnancy and bfing (until ds2 was 2) = bloody ages.

Glad to hear of positive scans and screening results. Positive vibes to ada and all having a testing time.

14+2 today. Sickness might be easing a bit and have actually managed to eat a proper meal today. Jacket spud and prawn mayo. Lush!

ElizaB3 · 02/12/2013 22:06

Ada would like to second what Seat said earlier; don't feel like you can't post here; it's for sharing all the ups & downs not just the sugar-coated bits. Hope you get the results you need.

My scan was today; it was very wriggly & now dating 13 weeks exactly.
Like others (reassuringly) I have a huge bloated bump, but when I breathe in it won't fully disappear now, something's growing!

Hackney I know what u mean about telling people; once its out, it's out! But guess it can't stay secret for ever...

Mitchell2 · 02/12/2013 22:12

Grin comedy knockers. I no longer feel like I'm abnormal. I've gone up to 34f now and had to find some crop tops to wear to bed, a) so they don't lag behind when I turn over and b) to ensure my DP does get his mitts on them. This is my first and I fear how large they will get. The crop tops I have a nice soft M&S ones which I recommend.

clever I second what magpie said re what the bleed could be as I know someone who this happened to (who freaked out!) keep an eye and as others said wait until tomorrow if doesn't happen again.

hackney I've started to tell people and it just feels weird and still not real.

ada good luck.

jaykay987 · 02/12/2013 22:46

The Asda £6 bra tops are really good for sleeping I find. (Great price too).

hackneybird · 02/12/2013 22:58

eliza I was dated exactly 13 weeks today too!

mitchell totally giggling at your crop top tales 'so they don't lag behind '. Brilliant.

I think I'm reluctant to tell anyone because my mum doesn't know yet. I'm dreading telling her because she WILL say something tactless about my being pregnant at age 40. Oh well - going to have to grow up and do it soon!

Night night all.

CleverOl10 · 02/12/2013 23:13

Thanks to you all for the reassurance. I've had no more blood, not even spotting since the first bit so am guessing that it was just over straining that caused an issue Blush

So nervous for scan tomorrow but also can't wait as if no when all is well it will seem more real and I will be able to relax more.

Night all xx

Redcliff · 02/12/2013 23:34

Hey hackney - I am 42 so know what you mean. Told one on the women I work with and she asked my age and then went on to tell her horrific birth story - thanks for that . But she was also very lovely and pleased for me and it does make it more real.

pussycatmomma · 02/12/2013 23:38

Hi everyone, wondered if I might join you? Have hardly ventured on to mumsnet of late but am now 14 weeks with dc3 Grin Had my first scan couple of weeks ago and would be great to talk to others going through the same stuff. None of my other friends in rl are pregnant just now and im feeling a bit out on a limb! look forward to chatting to you all, xxx

pussycatmomma · 02/12/2013 23:43

Blush just realised you are all on thread number 5!!!! sorry to have just barged in when you are all familiar with each other! apologies. (goes to the back of the class to read quietly and catch up!) x

panicmechanic · 02/12/2013 23:54

Welcome pussycatmomma!

Red cliff and hackney - I am 42 also know what you mean!

CleverOl10 · 03/12/2013 00:02

Welcome pussycat! Feel free to barge.....we're all friendly in here. Grin

GinandStripes · 03/12/2013 00:16

As clever just said, feel free to barge in pussycat and welcome.

Tell me people... Maternity jeans... How the chuff do I keep them up? Do I need to invest in braces? Not sure the comedy breasts would accommodate a set of those!

WifeofGru · 03/12/2013 01:39

Welcome pussycat

gin they take a bit of growing into. Then you go through a stage where they fit perfectly, then by the end of pregnancy everything is uncomfortable!!

Magpie78 · 03/12/2013 06:03

Morning all & Hello pussycat! gina get down that patent office......maternity braces with built in breast harnesses...lol

MarlenaGru · 03/12/2013 06:18

I'd buy some of those magpie

ohcluttergotme · 03/12/2013 06:45

Morning ladies. Welcome pussycatdoll.
Good luck today Clever, so jealous, I've still got til Thursday!! So impatient Smile

MTMD · 03/12/2013 06:49

Hackney, I know what you mean about telling people.. I wouldn't mind holding on to it a little longer, after all last weekend proved my deepest fears that pregnancy is such a fragile state... and I'm guessing it doesn't feel absolutely real until you start feeling the kicks perhaps?

Anyway DH is desperate to tell his family (I'm really impressed he managed this far, his brother told everyone the day his wife tested positive). And I sort of want to rectify myself as I've been a really rubbish daughter/sister/friend recently by ignoring everyone's messages, suggestions to meet up, etc I know my mum will be pleased, she's been saying 'i want to be a grandma!' for ages, but I'm still worried about telling her.. No idea why?!!

littlepickly · 03/12/2013 06:56

Morning! Scan day today! Hope all goes well scan buddy Clever - what time is yours?

Welcome pussycat Smile

MTMD · 03/12/2013 07:07

I think once people know you're pregnant, your body becomes a little less yours.. Does it make sense?

Good luck with today's scans you lucky souls! :)

Redcliff · 03/12/2013 08:48

Hi pussycat and welcome! I only joined in this weekend and feel one of the gang already. Happy scan day for those going in today. So glad I am not the only 40 something on here.

Have a stressful day ahead at work just when I should be avoiding stress.
Do however have tomorrow off so will focus on that instead.

Vickyvix · 03/12/2013 08:57

Good luck pickly and clever

Welcome pussycat good to have you on board

And congrats on your scan eliza

Am off to an event today where I need to avoid drinking, wish me luck!

CleverOl10 · 03/12/2013 09:09

Hi Pickly, mine is at 11.10 so having a little lie in and trying to decide whether or not to pee now then drink lots or try to hold it! Oh the strange joys of pregnancy.

On the plus side still no more blood so really doubting it was serious.

When is your scan Pickly?

littlepickly · 03/12/2013 09:30

Hi all,

Sorry to bring sadness but I'm afraid there was no heartbeat at our 12 week scan today Hmm It seems like baby stopped growing at around 9 weeks.

We are very sad but also matter of fact in that it was just not meant to be and also very grateful for our lovely DD - I can't imagine how people cope with this first time around.

It's a very surreal feeling and quite a shock but we will be ok.

Thanks for all the wonderful chat on here and wishing you all the very very best for super fabulous pregnancies Smile

CleverOl10 · 03/12/2013 09:31

So so sorry to hear that Pickly. Sending you thoughts and best wishes. Sad

Mitchell2 · 03/12/2013 09:42
