MarlenaGru · 02/12/2013 08:26

Fingers crossed ada
Anyone not yet been to GAP, they have 40% off everything including sale today. I may have spent a small fortune on a load of trousers!

Redcliff · 02/12/2013 08:41

Hi Ada - just wanting to send you the best of luck and I hope you get some positive news soon.

My clothes are getting much tighter. I have one of my bigger skirts on today which fitted perfectly last week and its digging into me. I have my official NHS scan on Wednesday so was planning on telling every one on Thursday but may buckle as really want to get into maternity clothes .

Am very impressed that someone is waiting till jan - no way my body would let me get away with that :)

littlepickly · 02/12/2013 08:42

Fingers crossed for you Ada.

Ooh thanks Marlena I'm going to go in the GAP site now!! Smile

I start my new job today - eek! Very strange feeling having been at my last job for 5 years.

Also have my 12 weeks scan tomorrow morning first thing - yippee!!

What an exciting week!

MTMD · 02/12/2013 09:22

Morning all!

Anyone else 12wks and still feeling rotten?

I'm ever so sick this morning.. It's dh's bday but I so poorly he brought breakfast to me! And no home made cake for the first time in years... Argh when do we get better?!
All this talk about shopping made me realise I've not been to any shops for over two months! Where do you find the energy?

I'm at work, feeling awful. Had an ice lolly in order to get some fluid as water/juice/tea make me gag..

Sorry for a grumpy post!

Ada, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

hackneybird · 02/12/2013 09:23

Ada very hoping everything is ok for you.

Am sitting waiting at FMC. Feeling VERY nervous.

Another one here that looks 5 months gone! It's my second but still.....it all feels like flab too. Never felt so porky in all my puff. :).

Bumblebeesmum · 02/12/2013 09:41

Ada really hope you get good news

Gilly - advice on hair dying is mixed some say avoid 1st trimester some say it's not a problem. It's more a problem if you're bleaching ie highlighting / going lighter than natural colour as there are more chemicals. My salon told me most packets are fine but there are some untested chemicals in some so they always say avoid T1. Who knows what is true! You must be close to T2 anyway?!

My hairs a mess & I know the (if any) risk is minimal, but as I'm 11 weeks I might aswell wait a week!

GinandStripes · 02/12/2013 09:44

You are not alone MTMD 12 weeks today... feeling shocking! Have just been sick (sorry too much info, put your breakfasts down) but it came before I could unwrap myself from my blanket - so had to hold it in my mouth for a bit. Xmas Envy

It was my boyfriends birthday last Monday, he also got no homemade cake, bought me breakfast in bed and even did some cleaning! But I did buy him a crate of Ale, so that kept him sweet!

PurpleCustard100 · 02/12/2013 10:01

Scan this morning - theres's definitely a baby in there! Measured 13 weeks 3 days - so further than I though - EDD 6th June. Still results of bloods to come but so far so good. Phew! :)

MTMD · 02/12/2013 10:06

Gin, you're my friend in misery! I'm either at work or in bed.. Nothing else exists!

Congrats Purple!! Scans are amazing, I've never seen anything more beautiful.. :)

adaloveslace · 02/12/2013 10:10

Thanks everyone. The good wishes and support here and on the Antenatal tests and choices board are getting me through. Thanks

MinaLeeds · 02/12/2013 10:15

Good morning ladies! Had my most nauseous day yet yesterday. Even moving made me feel like throwing up! Poor DH had to clean the chicken coop, refill all the feeders and drinkers, hang up three loads of laundry, clean the kitchen and do some tidying in the living room while all I could do was reorganise movies and tv episodes on the house computer as it was the only job that we could think of that didn't involve bending or moving! I'm feeling quite a bit better today though which is great as I have a crap day of work ahead of me. Need to make my way through a list of 300 or so manufacturing companies to ask beg them to fill out a survey about the state of manufacturing in the UK. They hear the word 'survey' and automatically switch off even before I've had the chance to explain it's a worldwide survey conducted by universities as part of this massive research project etc etc. So frustrating!

superlambanana · 02/12/2013 10:29

Having a very strange day so far... I barely feel sick at all. Tiny bit if nausea but after four solid weeks of throwing up this is a massive improvement!

Of course this means that I'm stressing hugely that something is wrong with the baby, and also about going back to work...

ohcluttergotme · 02/12/2013 10:52

Super I feel completely the same. Been feeling awful with nausea from 4 - 11 weeks and now feel better. Instead of feeling happy, I'm so worried something is wrong.
Got my scan on Thursday, wish it was sooner! Smile

ohcluttergotme · 02/12/2013 10:56

Thinking of you Ada.
Fab news purple Smile

superlambanana · 02/12/2013 11:01

Oh hang on... I may have spoken too soon... Sad

BEEwitched · 02/12/2013 11:16

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Ada!

Re: hair dyeing, I've heard the opposite, highlights are fine but dye can be dicey. My German preggo books say hair dye is fine and they are really against being near any chemicals so I reckon it's bound too be ok. I stopped dyeing my hair in February but miss being ginger.

I can't complain about my tum, but unlike you svelte ladies I was a size 22/24 to start with. Normally have an hourglass figure though and that's definitely on the way out.

BEEwitched · 02/12/2013 11:22

Oh, and my nausea and dizziness has gotten better but anything can still set me off - I just spent 5 minutes heaving because something in the kitchen smelled funny.

According to my Nuchal scan my EDD is the 26th of May now so this is week 15 but it doesn't really tally with my positive opk.

GinandStripes · 02/12/2013 11:32

WELL! I order a coat from ASOS in a size 14. I could hold a party in there!

hackneybird · 02/12/2013 11:37

All went well this morning - low risk for everything 1:10,000. Baby bouncing around and totally fine, according to my dates I'm supposed to be 12+2 but they now say I am exactly 13 weeks today and moved my EDD forward to 9th June.

jaykay987 · 02/12/2013 11:58

Yay Hackney - that's great.

twinsmonplusone · 02/12/2013 12:02

Hi ladies, can I join you?

My EDD is June 10th, and this is my third pregnancy.

I had identical twins the first time, than terminated the second pregnancy as embryo had chromosomal problems, so this time I'm more nervous than before!

I did the 12 week scan last week and everything looks fine, but as I had a bad experience the last time, we decided to do the Panorama test too (only one available in Johannesburg, South Africa). Still waiting for the results.

CleverOl10 · 02/12/2013 12:17

Hi all. Feeling quite down today. Am 12+5 but getting worse not better. Today I had to take my first sick day off work since getting pregnant. I have the worst headache. Still in bed at midday and struggling to open my eyes. Definitely can't sit up or even consider eating. Hardly ate yesterday as felt so nauseous. I'm well aware that the headache is probably the result of hardly eating but it feels like a vicious circle. I have my scan tomorrow so am hoping to talk to someone about how rough I feel though not sure what can be done to change it. I feel like staying in bed for the next 6 months Sad

Sorry for the moan!

HannahC1989 · 02/12/2013 12:33

Excellent news hackneybird. Were due the same day xxxx

hackneybird · 02/12/2013 12:51

Hey Hannah

Moan away clever, it's what this thread is for! Do you think you could force something down? It would help with your nausea (mine gets worse when I haven't eaten properly) AND headache I think.
