Thought I'd get us started Smile

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MTMD · 29/11/2013 22:36

It's light red.. My local would be wittington.. It's just that it's the worst night of the week.. Friday... :(

MTMD · 29/11/2013 22:38

It's not heavy bleeding but cramps feel too much like the start of the period which is why I'm not raising much hope..

superlambanana · 29/11/2013 22:41

It could be nothing - it's really common. I'd go and get checked out just in case though, if only to put your mind at rest.

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 22:46

Well, If it helps King's, Guys & St Thomas's and St George's all have walk in early pregnancy assessment units. St George's and Guys & St Thomas's are both definitely open on Saturdays. It's first come first served but you can get a referral from A&E or your GP and they all say on their websites that they are for those experiencing bleeding in pregnancy before 16/18 weeks. If you drive, you could head to one of those A&Es tonight and get a referal for the EPU tomorrow?

It's probably absolutely fine and just one of those early pregnany things do I don't want you to worry.

Perhaps ask the 111 GP when they call you back?

Is your other half there with you?

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 22:49

Sorry for long post, but forgot to add, possibility of break through bleeding? If it's times around when your AF would have been.

Good news it is light.

MTMD · 29/11/2013 22:54

No, not a break through.. This was one of the first things I checked.. Giving this Gp 10 more minutes (supposed to call back within 10 min), dh getting ready to go to hospital..

Thank you ladies for your support. I have to say I feel very pessimistic because of cramps and general sensation down there.. But yes id rather know now than wait another 7 days for bad news..

giraffelegs · 29/11/2013 23:03

Fingers crossed for you here MTMD.

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 23:04

Glad DH is with you. Definitely best to get checked out. Try and stay positive.

I really hope everything is ok for you and you get reassurance from the docs

Sending you hugs MTMD

AuntPittypat · 29/11/2013 23:51

Sending lots of positive thoughts MTMD. I've heard so many stories of all different sorts of bleeding throughout pregnancy without there being any problem, so... ... do try not to panic. Fingers crossed for you.

ElizaB3 · 29/11/2013 23:52

Hello, back after another trip away and catching up.
MTMD the risks of MC are so low by the end of your 12th week - which is what you are - remember the odds are hugely on your side. Used to live near Whittington & found the A&E very good there (on the one time I went). Not an ideal Friday night for you but anything is worth peace of mind, good luck.

MTMD · 30/11/2013 00:21

I spoke to 111 Gp who just said 'you're having a miscarriage, just lie down and try to relax and go to a e if bleeding gets worse.. ' Couldn't even book a scan!

I'm in a&e waiting to be seen. I don't think they do night scans but might refer me to one sooner than Friday.. Like I said, not super hopeful...

Thank you girls, you're being very sweet and kind. I'm tired of crying...

GinandStripes · 30/11/2013 00:31

Oh MTMD - I'm keeping everything crossed for you. X

Vickyvix · 30/11/2013 00:34

That GP sounds awful. I hope the docs at A&E look after you and that it's nothing to worry about. I am sure you will get a referral for a scan sooner than Friday (my A&E trip was on a Sunday and I had the scan on following Tuesday).

There's always the option to try private scan if it looks like NHS can't offer one soon enough, London Ultrasound Centre or Fetal Medicine Centre both on Harley street can often do same day appointments.

Good luck

WifeofGru · 30/11/2013 01:15

Thinking of you MTMD. The GPs response was terrible. hope you get a scan ASAP.

MTMD · 30/11/2013 03:05

Baby is fine and kicking!!!! They wanted to book a scan for tomorrow but my heart rate was going through the roof so they put me on a drip and got a scanner down to AE. Baby is fine!! DH was crying.. They don't know why I was bleeding so further tests if it comes back...

Still on the drip, waiting for my vitals to come back to normal.

What a relief!!!

Thank you all. I think I'm in love with you guys :)

giraffelegs · 30/11/2013 06:53

Oh MTMD such fab news to wake up to. Smile Glad everything is ok and you got to see your baby. Can't believe the GP said that though, not very helpful. Shock

I've been wide awake since 5am. Typical as DD slept through the night and is still asleep now....

jaykay987 · 30/11/2013 07:19

Great news mtmd! (That gp sounds awful)

P.s. My iPad autocorrects your name to "mums". Must be a sign Grin

littlepickly · 30/11/2013 07:21

So glad to hear all ok MTMD - what a horrible GP that you spoke to as well!! Glad you got to see your baby! Smile

I'm excited by all the talk of a lovely summer baby - DD was late September and that was not fun heading into the winter months with a newborn! Fingers crossed for a rain free summer - hmmm Smile

BEEwitched · 30/11/2013 08:05

MTMD I only saw this now, I am so glad everything is ok and your baby is wiggling the little legs about!

The response of that GP was horrible. Angry

MrsCharlieD · 30/11/2013 08:09

So pleased to hear your baby is safe and well mtmd. what a shocker of a gp though! Take it easy and relax this weekend x

GinandStripes · 30/11/2013 08:18

Oh MTMD - I'm so relieved - big hugs to you and your DH xxx

Vickyvix · 30/11/2013 08:28

Ah MTMD I'm so pleased to wake up to this good news, must have been such a worry but it's great that your baby is ok and that you and DH got see them on screen. Sounds like A&E treated you very well.

Have a lovely relaxing weekend :)

dramajustfollowsme · 30/11/2013 08:49

Glad to hear everything is ok, MTMD.
That GP sounds awful. I would be tempted to put in a complaint.
