Thought I'd get us started Smile

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dramajustfollowsme · 29/11/2013 15:37

Was sent home from school today, after fainting in class. I gave myself and the kids a bit of a scareSad. I'm fine bar a big bruise on my leg where I fell. I probably shouldn't have gone in but there you go.
I've spent the day sleeping or throwing up. The only thing I can keep down is mash with gravy. So weird, with dd it was sweet stuff all the way. This time round I can't face it.

CleverOl10 · 29/11/2013 15:58

Hope you feel better soon Drama.

I'd love to be eating more but struggling to eat anything right now Sad This morning the management out of the blue provided us with the most amazing array of cakes at break and I couldn't face a single one. I think this has genuinely never happened before! I love cake! Shock

Cherryjellybean · 29/11/2013 16:04

drama, that is a scare! I fainted on Sunday but luckily no one was in the room to witness it. Take care of your self.

Super the sickness lasted till 17 weeks with my last pregnancy, but lots of people find it goes before 12 weeks... Fx is disappears for you soon! Remember it will end eventually!

I got my scan date through today! Its on the 16th, so happy i have something to look forward to, even if it is forever away!

superlambanana · 29/11/2013 16:14

Cherry we are scan buddies!! I was thinking mine would be the last on the thread so it's nice to have someone else on the same day Smile

Cherryjellybean · 29/11/2013 16:18

Scan buddies! I think we are going to be one of the last ones.
2weeks 3days seems a very long time away!

Bezzabelle · 29/11/2013 17:19

Just got 20 week scan letter through- 16th January.... Least Christmas in the middle will make it go quicker!

Bezzabelle · 29/11/2013 17:27

On the eating front, after 7 weeks of puking numerous tones a day which has now reduced to just two or three times in the morning, I now eat all day long as keeps the nausea away so today.....
First breakfast- cornflakes(which I threw up)
Second breakfast -scrambled eggs on toast
At work banana, tuna sandwich, packet of hula hoops, two Jammie dodgers and a muller yogurt spread out over day.
Tea will be spaghetti Bol!! No wonder I have put on all the weight I lost back on!

dramajustfollowsme · 29/11/2013 17:28

I'm after you guys. Scan on 18th. Seems so far away.

jaykay987 · 29/11/2013 18:05

Drama - that sounds awful. Hope you're feeling better.

I haven't got my nhs scan date through (though I will probably not need it). Mw thought it would be booked in for between Christmas and new year.

My stomach has literally popped overnight! I'm only 8w+6, so my clearly bloated belly has been going up and down. BUT - today my stomach is higher, it literally starts protruding from the bottom of my bra. And the top bit, between my bra and belly button is solid. Very odd. I assume my uterus is still below my pelvic bone - so no idea what it is that's hard. Any ideas?

I literally look 6months. I'm seeing a very good friend for the first time since my BFP tomorrow - who is due with her second early May - no idea how I'm going to hide this from her if it's still there tomorrow!

Jessiebaba · 29/11/2013 18:09

Cherryjellybean & superlambanana - I'm the 16th too! So glad to finally have a date but it feels like AGES away!!

Bumblebeesmum · 29/11/2013 18:40

MTMD I'd probably wait to tell your partners twin or just tell the in laws by Skype. If she's as bad as you say then might be better to just remove the risk?

Bellygazing that's great you're feeling better & if you're on a low dose hopefully you'll hardly notice

My 1st was also a June baby which is weird as weather all the same for stage etc. Although it's horrible to feel sickest while the weather is crap & miserable, for those who haven't already had summer babies - it's brilliant. I loved being able to sit in the garden reading a book with my baby sleeping on a mat in the fresh air & not having to wrap him 100x to leave the house. It's crap now but we'll get the best later!

ohcluttergotme · 29/11/2013 19:03

Aww bumblebees your message about having a summer baby really made me smile! I have an April child and October. April was lovely and we have manage to have bbq's for her birthday but ds born in October was hard and worst snow for years hit too.
So looking forward to a wee June baby and having garden birthdays in years to come Smile

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 19:23

Ah Yey just thinking about chilling in the garden next summer with a little one out there with me makes me smile so much. Has got me thinking about picnics and trips to the park :)

.....although, I am a June baby myself and my family routinely take the mick out of me because it always rains on my birthday!

Hope you're feeling better drama

jay I'm struggling with being bloated too, i don't think it can be a bump yet but for last 10 days or so I literally look about 5 months pregnant!! I think it's bloatedness but who knows, I've never done this before!

Sussex31 · 29/11/2013 19:30

misshoohaa I was 11 weeks exactly when my scan date came through the post. It is worth chasing them though.

I had some light bleeding (dark brown) on Weds night so rang the midwife first thing and she had booked me a scan within the hour! So surreal, quick dash from work to pick up husband and got to hospital just in time for the appointment. I didn't even have time to get nervous!

Happy to say all was well with the little bouncing bean - so amazing to see. I wasn't expecting photos from an emergency scan but he gave us 2, yay :)

ohcluttergotme · 29/11/2013 19:57

Aw Vicky, don't burst the bubble of imagining long beautiful summer days with baby!
Although I am Scottish so maybe need a wee reality check here! Smile

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 20:42

Sorry! I think it's going to be lovely, and how nice that we will be more able to be outdoors with our little ones and enjoy walks etc.

sussex glad all ok with you and your scan went well :)

giraffelegs · 29/11/2013 20:58

Scan was successful and showed a wiggly baby dated 12 + 5 which changes my due date to 8 June. I was charting so was fairly confident on dates but looking back at it I can see that the new date fits as well. It explains the early BFP too!

bumblebees I'm glad to hear good things about June babies as I really struggled with October DD, particularly the short daylight hours.

Hope you're feeling better now drama.

giraffelegs · 29/11/2013 21:00

And glad that your scan showed good news too Sussex. Smile

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 21:13

Great news giraffe :)

MrsCharlieD · 29/11/2013 22:15

Hello ladies hope everyone has a nice weekend planned? Can't believe I've just bought a pram and car seat. Argh! Not having it delivered until we need it was but i couldn't wait any longer to start buying things. Has anyone else started shopping yet? X

MTMD · 29/11/2013 22:16

Girls I'm bleeding.. And cramping... 11+4.. I'm a wreck, don't know what I'm supposed to be doing.. Midwife answer phone says in emergency prior to 18 weeks, go to casualty department. But it's Friday night! What can they do???
Not had any scans yet :(

Bezzabelle · 29/11/2013 22:21

MTMD maybe ring nhs direct and see what they say??? Fingers crossed that all is ok.

ohcluttergotme · 29/11/2013 22:23

Would ring NHS24 MTMD otherwise you may just worry all night.
Hope everything is ok x

MTMD · 29/11/2013 22:24

Rang 111 and some gp will ring me back.. But what can they do..?

Vickyvix · 29/11/2013 22:30

Oh MTMD sorry you're experiencing this. my green book says the same, any bleeding before 20 weeks go to A&E. I had to go myself just over a week ago so know it's really scarey.

Is it a lot? Or a little? Red or brown? Clotting? Just when you wipe?

The midwife said to me that brown is ok (old blood) and if it's light not to worry too much. If it's red it may still be fine but best to check it out. Even heavy with clotting can be ok.

Friday night will be busy and am sure you'll have to wait but if I were you I'd go anyway and get checked out.

At the A&E I went to they couldn't do a scan there and then but they were lovely and checked everything out etc.

I can't remember where you're based? Are you London?

I have my fingers crossed for you that it's just a bleed and nothing else. Sending virtual hug your way.
