fingers crossed, scary times, but it could be nothing.

Obstetrician appointment today... she was only interested in my bmi not any of the other serious medical issues I have. So no news other than having to see her again at 36 weeks.

DP looked up to me today and said 'what if you'd lied about the positive test and they let you get this far and nobody's actually checked that you are pregnant' which I agree is pretty weird imo.

My 12 week scan is on 23 Dec.

I've realised I will be in the odd position after happy scans, obvs. of not telling anyone other than my in-laws in person. Which seems like a bit of a shame but suspect it can't be helped unless I want to invent a random reason for a trip to tell my family. I can picture it now: 'oh we decided to come visit you for...err...Valentine's Day!' No. Just no.

Same here ismarah as DPs parents live abroad and only my parents are local... If all goes well planning to tell people on xmas eve the day after the scan. The longer I wait for this damn scan the more I'm convincing myself I'm not pregnant!

DP is going to visit his parents for a few days next week -I'll be working and away with work a couple of nights but still feels weird.

Oh well, this time tomorrow I'll definitely know. We're going to haves takeaway dinner regardless, but if it's bad news I shall be having some wine.
I've let the house become a complete tip so if it's good news it's going to be a very busy weekend of tidying before the midwife gets here on Monday!

Hi all! Not posted since the very beginning as I was so sure I would MC again after a previous mc earlier in the year at 11 weeks, so stayed quiet on the threads this time! Have started feeling mild cramps today. More like twinges. Am probably somewhere like 10+4 but really irregular periods so not sure.

Anyone else cramping? At all?

I'm not cramping at the mo but had them for weeks earlier on.

Hi Ahoy, I'm 11wks today and have had mild cramps occasionally over the last couple of weeks - just like you describe, twinges. The internet & a friend who's done this before reckon this is just the uterus stretching as it's supposed to rather than anything to worry about.

Hope that helps what must be a very worrying time. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy this time round.

No cramping but get the odd twinge but I never can tell whether its due to the pregnancy or bowel stuff!

Auntie This is why I've done 4 POAS over the course of the 10 weeks - I honestly need the reminder / double-triple-quadruple check. Every time I have a pregnancy related appointment, I wee. #safetyinnumbers

MrsB2013, I think you've got me confused with someone else on the EDD list. I am due the 6th, but am not with twins! I know for sure because I had my NT scan this afternoon and all is well (and only in the singular!).

Glad to hear everything is going well, and thinking of those of you who are having hiccups along the way.

Morning all - fingers crossed for Doctor and Lazydog and anyone else who might have a scan today.

Here's a question: when do you tell your other DCs, and how did it go (if done)?

With my last two the elder ones were still young enough not really to understand /care terribly, but now my eldest are 4 and 6 and will definitely understand and have opinions! I want them to know first, before my in laws etc) but am not sure how best to break the news and when to do it....

just say that you have a special secret you want to tell them.
if you have a scan pic you could show it and talk about it.

be prepared for questions about how baby got into your tummy, although at that age mummy's seed and daddy's seed meeting and growing into a baby tend to be enough!

I wanted to tell oldest 4 on Christmas Eve, but now I think we should wait for the scan.
we have a lot of extended family stuff and I don't want them to blab until I see that everything is ok (just being cautious)

but ours are older DS4 is 7 on Saturday and they know pretty much everything about babies, so I don't think they will be surprised or even bothered much!

Hello all - I am due 2 July, been too scared to join as have had bleeding. Hope its ok to join now. Have had 4 scans so far (ott I know), and so far all seems to be good. I have horrendous symptoms so pretty sure all is ok so far. I have a 2 yr old son, and am obviously feeling massively tired as he does not ever stop running about. Got nuchal scan on 23rd, which is coming up quite soon.

Prob can't go back and read through the whole thread, but I am looking forward to hearing about all of your pregnancies.

Good luck to donna and lazy, that feeling before a scan is always bloody dreadful.
