welcome theborrower :)

ZingSweetPea · 05/12/2013 23:13

hey, you found us! good!Smile

superpowers? I wish! Grin

I never really worried with the first 4. then the shit hit the fan and MC was not only awful but a total shock.
it took me months to decide if I can try again and risk it.

With DS5 I held my breath the entire time - and at the same time trying to reason that there's nothing I could do to ensure a healthy baby (apart from taking multivitamins, fish oil capsules and iron tablets) so why worry?Confused
But it really was a hard time, emotionally.
I was so relieved when he was born, big and healthy and utterly gorgeous! he is my rainbow baby and the happiest of all my children!
I'm so glad I got brave!Smile

then with DD I was quite chilled again, same this time.
It's frightening to have no control over what happens, so I just block those thoughts out as stress is not healthy.
We take a risk and we hope for the best result.

Good luck doctordonna!

spinningirl10 · 06/12/2013 07:21

Morning ladies Grin

Just popping on to say good luck to DoctorDonna xx

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 06/12/2013 07:31

And another one dropping in to say good luck to DoctorDonna.

Welcome and congratulations theborrower.

I was very surprised last night playing squash. I wasn't that enthusiastic to go out because all I'm able to do in the evening is slob on the sofa feeling exhausted. And in fact, I felt a lot better for going out and doing some exercise. However, I think I will make up for it this morning. I'm having a day off work so I think I will have a slob in front of some daytime TV once I have done some tidying up. Worrying lack of Cake in the house though. Xmas Shock

Now I just need to get away from MN...

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 06/12/2013 07:34

And I forgot to say, day-off today is extra special - DS has gone to the child minder as normal so I am all alone! Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/12/2013 07:34

Thanks for the good luck messages. What will be, shall be. Nothing I can do now but wait a couple more hours. Glad I've been given the whole day off work. Don't think I'll be in a fit state to go in whatever the outcome!

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 06/12/2013 07:35

Right, I'm stepping away from the computer now...

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 07:40

good luck Donna fx for you!

dollydaydream27 · 06/12/2013 09:11

Good luck doctor Donna thinking of you .

Mrsc020987 · 06/12/2013 09:31

Good luck donna

fifi669 · 06/12/2013 09:38

Hoping good news is on your way doctordonna

FlyLikeABird · 06/12/2013 10:04

I hope all is well at the scan doctordonna

I'm really stressing as I should be about 7wks but no symptoms. I am tired but I'm currently decorating half of my house and looking after 8mth old DD so no more tired than normal Hmm So I'm just waiting for the worst until my scan on 16th January. Why can't the NHS do daily scans!

jeezaloo I notice everyone is keeping a dignified silence about constipation Grin Ha, won't be long until the piles talk starts. As soon as I got this BFP is had piles flashbacks from DD Grin

dollydaydream27 · 06/12/2013 10:08

Fly like a bird I know how you feel I have mild symptoms am so worried I just wish the scan was closer (25 days and counting ) !!! Am still tempted to pay for a private scan but dp really doesn't think it's a good idea.... Thinks we should just wait for the 12 wk scan .

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 10:18

Fly

I have the opposite problem.
even the iron tablets don't plug me up, but make me run.

fig extract or prunes/prune juice might help you

liquidstate · 06/12/2013 10:24

Really dreading having to go back to work next week. Just don't have the energy at the moment!

Nausea still bad and so much heaving on the stomach that my muscles are really sore. I also have a sore neck Hmm. DH being very understanding though which is good. Dog has taken to sitting on the floor beside me when I am laid out on the sofa with his head on my lap Confused. I graduate next week so hoping I can get though it without being sick.

Dolly I paid for a private 12 week scan and the bloods because otherwise we would be waiting over xmas and new year for the NHS ones. Some areas seem to be quicker than West Berks though. I go back for the main scan on the 20th. Because I am an older first time mum though am trying to stall telling people until after Harmony testing or Amnio though. Havent decided which.

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 10:26

I've just rediscovered a great anti-nausea food: bread sticks! yay!Grin

AuntieMaggie · 06/12/2013 10:43

zing none of the anti-nausea foods are low carb though are they!?!

I weighed myself this morning as I was concerned with the weight that I came up at on the mw scales - they showed me 3 kgs heavier! Bloody things.

Day off for me too today resting my ankle... bored already!

FlyLikeABird · 06/12/2013 10:45

What contrary bowels you have zing! Mine are fine, but jeezaloo was struggling. I hope she had prunes in her cupboard!

Oh Dolly maybe we are just lucky but I hate all this waiting. I felt like I had a terrible hangover for a good couple of months last time. I don't think it set in until a bit later so there's hope that I can feel rubbish yet! Oh well at least I can crack on with the decorating!

Actually glad I'm not feeling sick or getting the super nose as DDs nappies are awful at the moment

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/12/2013 10:56

Had the scan, sac is bigger, there's definitely something in it now BUT, still not a definite ok. Progress is good but I'm not sure it's enough. Because consultant didn't do last scan herself whilst we all think it's definite progress I have to go back next week to confirm one way or another. So, slightly better than before but still in limbo.

FlyLikeABird · 06/12/2013 10:58

Oh doctordonna what a worrying time for you. It sounds promising though. How many weeks did they date you today?

ZingSweetPea · 06/12/2013 11:14

it does sound like positive progress, so I'm happy for you.

of course it's a shame there was no obvious answer, it's crap having to wait another week, but sometimes no news is the best news.
and it's definitely not over!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/12/2013 11:46

They didn't give me a date or a copy. Which is fine. Don't want to bond too much yet. Another week away from the gym for me. At least I'll know before Belgium at Christmas.

turnwest · 06/12/2013 11:58

Hi everyone,

safyre I have a 13 month old, he ll be 21 months when the baby arrives, so we re in the same boat! And yes I m worrying like mad too about being able to cope. I ve got a 6 r old too, but she s great and quite independent.

fly I ve no symptoms either and I m 7 weeks too, I am a little worried but I ve never had many symptoms early on with my other two children so I m taking heart from that.

Sorry I have nt been on for ages, but I ve got a chest infection and I m asthmatic so I m struggling at the moment and feeling very sorry for myself!
