hahah Alyssa that made me chuckle!!
dp been saying that he didn't want to do it because and i quote 'what if she pokes her hand out!?'

ive always had a higher sex drive than dp.... it went away for a while and the dp didnt want to do anything because it was too weird for him. then he asked last night... im still getting over the shock haha he's not overly fused when it comes to hanky panky lol

so changing subject - my boss is still bugging me to do this E-leaning but its not an actually course with anything important its just an in house thing that you do, you cant take the certificates with you if you leave, Plus i'm on maternity leave and it can easily wait until i go back next year, its just a refresher thing.

he's such a useless boss i've asked him to send my my wage slips and he hasnt - im not sure whether to call head office and to tell then im on mat leave which is why i haven't done the e-learning. plus i don't have a laptop only my phone so it'll be difficult to do anyway! Was thinking about asking head office about my annual leave that they owe me too! (boss said i wasnt entitled to it before i went on mat leave but found out that i was)

last time we tried to DTD I ended up having to go and throw up halfway through. It was so romantic Hmm DP hasn't tried it on since. I feel mean as I know he has needs but I am exhausted and in pain and he understands.

I am pretty annoyed at him though at the moment. He does nothing round the house at all. I haven't done anything the last few days as I have been shattered or busy and instead of helping and washing up his plates he just piles them in the sink. Do all men just not understand that there isn't a magic fairy that cleans up or is it just my DP?

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 16:41

Hi all, wow, a lot of chat to catch up on today! Just waiting to see consultant, the clinic's running an hour and a quarter behind, it's only 8 minutes past my appointment time so will be here a while. Scan fine, little boy is still breech, which I'm actually relieved about as it means I'm less likely to have anyone try to pressure me into a VB if I come in in pre-term labour. I haven't felt him turn and he's been breech the last 2 scans so think the MW must have mistaken a head for a bottom last week! Will catch up on other posts while I'm waiting Smile

Alyssa1978 · 28/10/2013 16:41

No mine thinks a magic fairy lives in our house whisper

stom just tell your boss you'll be too busy with a new bang to do any e learning and you were definately entitled to your hols so indeed contact your head office and get the to sort it.

Alyssa1978 · 28/10/2013 16:44

Oops baby not bang Hmm

mumoftwoboysS · 28/10/2013 17:00

Oh no whisper I really struggled to dtd in first tri when feeling queasy, 2nd tri and early third I was quite up for it- mojo reappeared! Now it's well and truly fled and I can't see it coming back. But DH shouldn't feel too hard done by, with ds1 & 2 I just didn't care if we never did it again!

And my DH will put stuff in the dishwasher but he never cleans the worktops and leaves his dirty washing in a heap on the floor. They definitely think that stuff gets magically done!!

feather must be nice to know which way baby is- I have no idea and mw didn't check @ my last apt. Do they onl start doing it @ 34 wk check up? I think baby may be head down, legs and arms are mostly kicking on rh side and only little wriggles down low- feel like arms/hands. But I'm no expert! I'm the opposite tho, my worst fear is having a breech baby, but then I've only ever had normal VB in the past...

BohemianRaspberry · 28/10/2013 17:05

Poor DD lisbapalea hope she is better soon

In terms of dtd we generally average out once a week or so - finding it a little uncomfortable now and like you Lady I miss the missionary for cuddling.

Junior has been spinning, rolling, kicking and punching all day. Probably because I've been propped up on the sofa, builder-sitting not doing terribly much. Must stop being so lazy.

PistachioTruffle · 28/10/2013 17:10

Just marking my place, I'll be back later to try and catch up!

meandbumpy · 28/10/2013 17:19

Mine simply doesn't see dirt whisper, he will clean something if I ask but otherwise wouldn't even notice it needed doing. I don't mind doing the cleaning because he works and I don't but I do get annoyed with him being so messy. We have a cup in the bathroom for the toothpaste and brushes and he never puts his brush back in, just leaves it on the side next to it, drives me crazy!

itsliz · 28/10/2013 17:34

mumoftwo I'm 31 weeks today and they've checked baby's position for the last 3 or 4 appointments, so I was under the impression it was just standard practice. Might be another one of those things that varies depending on where you are in the country though...
Little man's been either head down or horizontal the last few times so I'm hoping that's a good sign!
I've mostly felt movements low down or to the side, so I'd assume that means your little one is head down too Smile

My sex drive has always been a lot higher than DP's, so I think being pregnant has brought us down to about the same level, haha! We've managed to dtd at least once a week, but I don't know how much longer we'll be able to keep that up for now that I'm getting so much bigger and feeling more rubbish...

Oh and whisper, when it comes to the washing up (and in fact, housework in general) DP insists that I leave it because he doesn't want me squashing bump up against the sink or hurting my back from standing, which is all well and good but he's so busy at work and so knackered at the weekends that it never gets done unless I step in!
Oh the glamorous life of a domestic goddess...

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 18:06

Well, unless he decides to turn up early like his brother, DS2 will be born on 21st November!!! That's 3 weeks on Thursday, which is absolutely terrifying!!!

Stom91 · 28/10/2013 18:23

Wow feather that's so soon!! Argh this is all getting too real now!

WhisperMen · 28/10/2013 18:26

Good god. How can it be 3 weeks until the 21st november? Where has this year gone? I'm freaking out, I don't know about you feather

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 18:29

Freaking out doesn't quite cover it...

itsliz · 28/10/2013 18:30

Ahhh feather, that's so exciting!!! Albeit a little bit scary...
Have you got most things ready yet or are the next 3 weeks going to be spent dashing round the shops?!

WhisperMen · 28/10/2013 18:32

Cake to calm your nerves feather

Alyssa1978 · 28/10/2013 18:35

Wow feather is that a c section date Hun?
I wish I was due to give birth in 3 weeks, that's so close I bet you're getting excited?

I think me and dp have the same sex drive but mine never really disappeared this time, although when pregnant with ds2 I will admit we never dtd after that second pink line popped up Blush until after the birth and the bleeding stopped, I just wasn't in the mood poor bloke lol

Thanks everyone for the moist wipes hint, I will definately be buying some.

Alyssa1978 · 28/10/2013 18:36

How many weeks will you be then feather

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 18:42

That'll be 38 weeks on the dot! I think I've just about got everything, need more nappies as so far have only 1 pack, and need to get a formula starter pack in case it's needed, ooh and some peppermint tea bags and drinking straws. Really can't think of anything else! I'll do a hospital bag inventory nearer the time and you can all help me check I've got everything.

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 18:43

Sorry, yes it's a section date!

Alyssa1978 · 28/10/2013 18:51

I'm so excited you'd think it was me lol

WhisperMen · 28/10/2013 18:54

what on earth do you need drinking straws for? Well obviously for drinking, but that wasn't something I had considered.

Stom91 · 28/10/2013 18:56

So you can have sips of drink during labour. They're easier to drink out of xx

itsliz · 28/10/2013 19:00

I read something recently about taking drinking straws so that your partner can help you to have a drink while you're in labour and not in a position to get things for yourself.
There might be more to it, but that was the general gist of it...

Featherbag · 28/10/2013 19:04

The straws are so I can get a drink without having to sit up as that really hurts with an abdominal wound!
