pram ...lol
quite like the odd bit of reggae!

pram my boy just loves his sleep and come Thursday Friday exhausted after 3 days at nursery...

GameOfPrams · 18/10/2013 21:23

Is there an echo in here?

PramsEar · 18/10/2013 21:53

Pram - why would you think there was an echo?

Pram - I don't know any toddlers who would sleep for that long and then not be a nightmare to settle at night. If they have managed that - we all want to know their secret - throw out GF etc books!

Greeneggsandpram · 18/10/2013 21:53

So thanks for all the comments, goin to bed in hope that I will wake up a whole new person. Nite

PainAuxRaisins · 18/10/2013 22:04

Pramsear there is no secret and don't let anyone tell you otherwsie - it is pure luck. DD2 was the queen of sleep. She always had 3 hour daytime naps when she was a toddler and would still sleep at night. I know I was lucky and will never again have a child like that (in my gut I just know that it's my turn for a colicky/crying/non-sleeping child this time - sob). Btw - 1st child was not a great sleeper so I have a bit of experience of the other type too....but have never experienced a colicky baby. Friends have told me it's the pits. I love my sleep so my biggest fear is having a baby that screams all night and won't settle.

PramsEar · 18/10/2013 22:36

Pram, Pram, Pram... yep definitely an echo in here! Wink

Pains... wow lucky you with DD2 and sleep. Neither of mine slept for hours on end in the day... but DD was fab at night, whilst DS was nightmare until approx 1.5yrs. Have now scared all our 1st timers with that! Grin Am hoping this one will copy dd and not ds regarding sleeping at nights!

BadlyWrittenPoem · 18/10/2013 22:42

DD1 dropped her nap at about 2y3m and up till then slept 2-2.5 hrs with 12 hours overnight but DD2 generally naps for a maximum of one hour unless ill and 10 hours overnight so I don't think it's necessarily what you do but more just how much sleep different children need. DD1 actually sleeps more than DD2 now even though there's a five year age gap.

PramsEar · 18/10/2013 22:50

Think my sprogs are both night-owls! Neither fall asleep early, but both have always woken later than any other kids that I know. Not sure if it is because their body clocks make them sleep later due to night owl tendencies or if they have learnt to settle back down, if just me in house if I don't hear them.

OwlinaTree · 18/10/2013 22:55

Wow lots of prams in here, it's like debenhams cafe.

Baby seems to be doing lots of wriggling about today which is very exciting! I'm so glad it's the weekend. Flu jab tomorrow oh joy.

keeppramandcarryon · 18/10/2013 23:04

Evening all!! Pretty confused about all the prams!!

WhamBamThankyouPram · 18/10/2013 23:16

I haven't had a period in 4 months, I think I might be pregnant.

PramsEar · 18/10/2013 23:18

You'll need a pram then Pram! Grin

PramBusters · 18/10/2013 23:20

You are a very witty bunch

GameOfPrams · 18/10/2013 23:23

Laughing my head off at all the Prams and this: I haven't had a period in 4 months, I think I might be pregnant.

GameOfPrams · 18/10/2013 23:24

Oh do fuck off, Kate Middleton Angry

PramAuxRaisins · 18/10/2013 23:36

Hmmm - wearing skinny jeans when you have a 3mth old is just rubbing salt in the wound. She is doing 95% of new mums no favours at all. A very wise woman once told me "It takes 9 months to go on so it should take at least that long to come off afterwards". I guess the wise woman didn't have a team of nannies/nutritionists/yoga teachers/personal chefs/personal trainers etc behind her though!

GoodPramHunting · 19/10/2013 00:14

Hello! Im so late into this thread and what not, I am truly a poor excuse for a Martian :0/

What is it with looking so skinny straight after you've had a child? Seriously not normal and seriously unfair says me the green eyed monster! !!

I should so be in bed now!

Getting more breathless now, and I clearly cant tolerate mayo atm :0/

GameOfPrams · 19/10/2013 01:22

Utter, utter bitch

GoodPramHunting · 19/10/2013 01:29

Urgh! Like to see them try that on our budgets!!!!!! Lol

Whambamthankyoupram · 19/10/2013 01:43

What an utter, utter slag. Th'usband will be having all sorts of unrealistic expectations post partum regarding resumption of normal service. I bet Prince Willy gets his knob done every night.

IceNoSlice · 19/10/2013 07:19

Owl - It's like Debenhams cafe in here with all the prams Grin

Ladies, you are taking the Kate thing the wrong way. Use it for inspiration. You too, with your personal trainer, chef and nanny in tow, can kill yourself in the gym to be skinny again in an unrealistic amount of time

Or you can eat cake and be happy cuddling your beautiful newborn.

NelsonPramdella · 19/10/2013 07:28

Haha, I'm back!
Sheesh, there's a lot to catchup on. Will give me something to do at lunch I guess.
