good point nat think I'll pop some disposable mattress protectors in the car to cover the seat just in case, don't think dp would be impressed if I leaked all over his brand new car!!

Flyer747 · 26/09/2013 09:48

Lost In Transition jelly.

littleducks · 26/09/2013 09:53

Just a quick request, can the opening post on new thread have list of babies delivered so far......I'm getting lost and can't keep up Shock.

Also have a stinking cold so am no longer wishing myself into labour. Fingers crossed it moved along quickly for everyone SC.

MrsHoratioNelson · 26/09/2013 10:09

SC at 39 weeks today. Looking forward to not being pregnant any more... Have treated myself to breakfast at McDonalds to cheer myself up Blush

Happy birthday Anything Cake

LittleDucks I think the births are on the second page of the stats sheet, does that help? I need a page to tell me who's who here and who's who on FB. I guess Hayley, Lyndsey, Caroline and Victoria were popular names when we were born Grin

Umlauf · 26/09/2013 10:10

happy birthday anythingnoteverything!! hope you have a fantastic day!

ill try flyer, or maybe ill cheat and get.DH to.do it! Im a grand.total of.... drumroll.... ONE CM dilated!! But they said Im not leaving hospital "sin bebe"

JellyCurls · 26/09/2013 10:12

Yeah I got it stood for lost in transition, but what does lost in transition mean?

claphammama · 26/09/2013 10:14

wow - what news! go umlauf!! my contractions didn't start for hours after my waters broke and I know it's normal. As nat said, here they give you 24 hours to start naturally before inducing.

happy birthday anything! still nothing after your show yesterday? no baby for your birthday? :-)

glad you are not feeling too bad caz! it must have been quite scary

was it monkey who was asking about leg cramps...? yes most of us had it a few weeks / couple of months ago and we were all moaning about it here. Also waking up screaming in the middle of the night. Mine strangely disappeared the last 3 weeks or so and can't imagine anyone mentioning them recently.

In other news, 5 wee trips last night... a bad night with little sleep and SC here at 36+2...

JellyCurls · 26/09/2013 10:14

One cm umlauf is one cm more than 0 and one less you need to progress. Keep focused on the silver lining and keep active

MrsHoratioNelson · 26/09/2013 10:15

¡Buena Suerte Umlauf!

JellyCurls · 26/09/2013 10:15

Random question time, if you were my navy cardigan where would you be hiding? I had it on Tuesday but its vanished and its def a jumper day here

ImpOfDarkness · 26/09/2013 10:19

Happy birthday anything! Cuillereasoupe here after a NC, I got fed up with my old username.

MrsHoratioNelson · 26/09/2013 10:23

Sorry Jelly no idea. If you were me your DH would have "tidied" it somewhere like the airing cupboard.

Imp I like it, it suits you :)

ImpOfDarkness · 26/09/2013 10:23

popular names when we were born

I think there's a 27-year spread between youngest and oldest mums on here - plenty of time for name fashions to change! Pleased to have met a couple of other Susies on FB though, I never meet any IRL!

PseudoBadger · 26/09/2013 10:23

Technically a LIT update would be from someone posting between 7 and 10 cms dilated and probably vomiting or panicking a bit

ImpOfDarkness · 26/09/2013 10:25

Apparently it's how Charles Darwin described iguanas when he first saw them. I heard the phrase the other day, and it just tickled me Smile

MrsHoratioNelson · 26/09/2013 10:27

Oh, that reminds me, I picked up a few cheap bits for BF in H and M the other day - a pack of two nursing tops for £20, some new strappy vests as mine are looking a bit knackered and a drapey waterfall navy cardigan which will be nice - it's not too long so I thought it would be ideal for keeping by my bed in case I get chilly on early morning BF sessions. They've got some new season stuff in and it was v tempting to get a new maternity top as I'm getting quite sick of the limited stuff I had, but I manage to resist. Looking forward to gettin out some of my old stuff again, or at least the more forgiving stuff for the first few weeks...

snowgal · 26/09/2013 10:30

Wow! it really is hard to keep up with what's happening on here at the moment.... Every time I visit the board at the moment someone else seems to be having a baby imminently! Congrats and Thanks to those of you who have already had your little ones and good luck to umlauf and anyone else who is currently in the early throes of labour.

It looks likely that I'm going to miss out on labour again, had a placenta scan on Tuesday and although the majority has moved up and out of the way the baby seems to be pressing his/her head against a small portion so the consultant is suggesting another CS. Really disappointed, so much so that the sonographer kept apologizing to me! Provisionally booked in for 14th Oct, with another scan in two weeks just to double check (I think this was because the consultant took pity on me and wanted to give me some hope rather than anything else!). Recovered pretty quickly last time round, mainly disappointed as won't be able to pick up my little boy which will totally confuse him Sad and will have to depend on other people more than I would like

FeministInTraining · 26/09/2013 10:37

Happy birthday Anything Cake

Sending you dilating vibes Umlauf

mnippy I love the tree analogy!

Glad you're feeling ok Caz hope you stop aching soon Flowers

Hayle I really hope you get Isaac back with you today

Tarlia I may have missed something on FB/here-are you home yet?

MrsHN there was a doc on FB with people's real and MN names that might help but I'm not sure how recently it was updated or whether I'm even on it actually You're definitely right about the popular names though!

So DTD for first time in I can't actually remember how long- no cramping afterwards, we must be doing something wrong. Can imagine baby laughing at our pathetic attempt at eviction. Hmm

Planning a walk to the park as far down the road as I can manage at the weekend. But then I think no amount if walking/DTD etc will coax a baby out if not ready! It might help it engage though? Last app at 35 weeks head was still free and I can't feel anything down there iyswim. Been waddling for months so don't think that's a reliable indicator...

thethreeblondies · 26/09/2013 10:40

Good luck umlauf my waters went first with DD1 and I took several hours to start contracting, (but then it went quite quick) have they got birthing balls? If so get bouncing! Swear it brought both DD's down fairly quickly xx

I'm SC 36+5 not really wanting to evict baby till at least sat, although I'm sat here eating pineapple and drinking some raspberry leaf tea! Baby has hiccups and I can feel how low he/she is as it's vibrating through my pelvis! Smile

FeministInTraining · 26/09/2013 10:41

X-post Snowgal sorry to hear you might not be able to have the vbac you wanted. Sounds like there's still a possibility your placenta could move, however small that may be. And I'm sure your DS can still snuggle in bed with you- how old is he?

SeriousStuff · 26/09/2013 10:44

Happy birthday Anything more Cake coming your way.

Umlauf as Jelly said, 1cm is better than nothing!

I've just eaten my 16th custard cream of the morning (on top of breakfast). After feeling particularly hot last night, I'm now experiencing some flu like symptoms and stomach is feeling a bit dodgy. Won't read too much into it though...it could just be flu!

snowgal · 26/09/2013 10:50

He's a very needy 21 month old at the moment, my DP is currently away for a couple of weeks so I'm hoping he'll be less needy and be clingy to his dad when he gets back this weekend!

I know I need to snap out of it, this baby just needs to arrive in the safest, healthiest way it can, just a bit gutted I'm going to miss out on labour again. And the thought of being cut open this time is weirding me out a bit... strange as I was fine about it last time...

Umlauf · 26/09/2013 10:51

its been 10 hours already. no balls to bounce on and no wifi! they said they will induce by mid evening i think.

PseudoBadger · 26/09/2013 10:51

I agree Snow, although I had a section last time (emcs) I'm a bit freaked out by the planned bit of this one. Walking to theatre, having the spinal placed etc....

FeministInTraining · 26/09/2013 10:59

Snowgal I would feel exactly the same, it's easier said than done to snap out of it! Hopefully DS will be so happy to see his dad he won't leave him alone!

Umlauf are there any stairs to walk up and down?!
