Flyer747 · 10/09/2013 13:34

Heffa pink lady was on the very early threads probably weeks 6-16ish then we didn't hear much until the lovely news that baby Josie had arrived....I remembered her posting alot early on.

Back from MW and baby is head down and engaged what ever this means. It's bum is up in my rib cage and as mw said "it had a scrawny bony bum" Shock I'm jealous of my babies bony arse Grin

Left my DR Lipps nipple balm on the bed, my naughty dog has chewed it and eaten the contents....she looks so cute though I have to laugh at her Grin

Legally you'll be on your way now fx, soooo exciting awaiting your news, twins and surprise gender.

Sad all the mc that were happening last festive season. It's horrid isn't it, I had one last year and I agree it's a pretty shit time. However not long now till we meet the ones that were meant to be. Thanks

Smitten1981 · 10/09/2013 13:42

Horatio I've been eating goat's cheese, blue cheese and Brie and also cured meat and runny eggs. I'll join the Terrible Mother's Club with you.

Tarlia · 10/09/2013 13:43

Lots of sad news last Christmas :( Here's to a happy one all around this year.

flyer hope naughty pup isn't sick. At least it is ediable but in small amounts usually -yuk!

fave glad the scan went well. Just remember shoulders will be wider than tummy regardless. Hope goes well with Dr tomorrow.

Nat eeepp. Wrong pram? Some areas tesco/Asda does free delivery. I think it depends if they have lots ordering in your area so can fill the van with orders over a few streets.

I also meant to say my BP is 145/100 today and that's medicated, but they arn't doing anything as I 'already have PE and should carefully monitor my symptoms..' Only +1 protine.

Natalieand · 10/09/2013 13:47

Not sure tarlia dh wants me to wait till he's home from work to open the boxes (what a bore) at what point do they say that medication isn't working and intervention is required? Like how high does your bp have to be?

roofio87 · 10/09/2013 13:50

flyer glad your baby has turned. my mw said this morning "he doesn't feel like 9 pounder" (referring to my sil big baby) so at least thats something!! the baby being engaged referrs to it having its head down in your pelvis ready for coming out. usually happens a few weeks before birth with your first. mine is slightly engaged so fingers crossed were heading in the right direction!!

textbook · 10/09/2013 13:52

Wow, can't believe how many of us had mc around last Christmas Hmm Mine was end of Nov, and it totally ruined the festivities for me last year. We are all so lucky now Thanks

cuillereasoupe · 10/09/2013 13:53

I asked the alcohol question in breastfeeding class this morning and they said a glass every now and then was OK, preferably just after a feed than just before, but it's wise to stay off the spirits. But this is France, so they would say that Grin

Natalieand · 10/09/2013 13:56

How does everyone remember who said what? I read all messages yet can't seem to remember what dc ppl have or how their baby is laying what sex they r expecting never mind what country they r in. Does everyone else write it down or do I just have a particularly bad memory?

Tarlia · 10/09/2013 13:58

You are stronger than me, Nat, I'd have to peek. The top number at 160, or bottom number at 110. But it's very serious then, so doesn't fill me with confidence.

PseudoBadger · 10/09/2013 14:01

That's what mine was when discovered with DS - they didn't deliver me for 10 more days!

OP posts:
Natalieand · 10/09/2013 14:01

If the kidney function tests come back as not good will they deliver today or give more medication for that?

Hopefully I can manage to keep it under control for a little longer. Isit 2 weeks until induction? X

Warlin · 10/09/2013 14:02

Checking in!

What an exciting thread! Can't wait to hear all the baby news...legally will be having newborn snuggles now I hope

flyer glad baby has turned. I started light runs after my 6 weeks post natal thread, though was a few weeks after that before I was doing a decent run. Be prepared for a non existent pelvic floor and wobbly belly though! Black and baggy gear all round :)

Ok, what can I expect from an ECV? How long will it take, will it be sore etc...keep hearing horror stories so really starting to panic as I have it on Thursday...eek

Shirehobbit · 10/09/2013 14:03

Thanks everyone - didn't mean to bring the thread on a mc downer Blush !
I have eaten Stilton and baked Camembert and runny eggs and cured meats and bagged salads. I couldn't forgo my morning bucket mug of coffee and started with the odd glass of wine/low alcohol beer in the second trimester. I have dyed my hair regularly and completely forget my PF exercises most days.
I think I qualify for slummy mummy status already Grin ?

Umlauf · 10/09/2013 14:04

What's an ECV??

cuillereasoupe · 10/09/2013 14:11

I'm definitely on the slummy end of the scale too. I like to think of it as nice and relaxed rather than stressed and uptight...

Flyer747 · 10/09/2013 14:12

Shire me too with Pelvic Floor, I've also eaten bagged salads drank lots of tea and probably average 3 glasses of wine per week. I did stop smoking but only when I got my bfp (day period was due) and I haven't smoked since and intend not to ever again! I did cut out sleeping tablets totally and I was addicted to them so chuffed about that. And I are Stilton and a funny egg t'other week and it was lush!

Racheld33 · 10/09/2013 14:12

Just checking in to this exciting thread...

37 + 4 SC

Really excited to hear news from legally -wonder what combination she'll get!

Flyer747 · 10/09/2013 14:14

And my Grammar and spelling in that last post was horrific! Grin

KarmaBiatch · 10/09/2013 14:14

checking in (after hovering for what seems like forever).

due the 21st October, so 6 weeks left to go, but willing time to hurry up Smile

MotherOfNations · 10/09/2013 14:21

Dp has just phoned to say he's leaving his job. His bosstold him today she could only give him a weeks leave starting on the 7th (My cs is the 4th) and that she didn't know when she'd be able to give him the second week he is entitled to. Despite knowing rough dates for weeks she has given Dp's paternity leave dates to other people as annual leave. When he told her she was leaving she said she'd speak to him again at the end of the day so hopefully she'll change her mind.

Flyer you are allowed to do pelvic tilts straight away. They are surprisingly effective at toning your stomach muscles.

roofio87 · 10/09/2013 14:26

mon that's terrible. I thought they had to give him paternity leave whenever he needed it. but maybe I'm wrong?!
My pram has been collected and mothercare are sending out a new one next day delivery so I'm pleased with them for that!!

Warlin · 10/09/2013 14:26

umlauf its where they attempt to turn a breech baby

I too have had Camembert (baked), coffee and the odd glass of wine. I also caved and has tuna sashimi from a local Japanese restaurant last week Blush

BowlFullofJelly · 10/09/2013 14:34

Checking in, and I am determined to keep up with this thread. Can't wait to hear from legally - was there another c second today as well?

37 + 2 today - I strongly suspect I won't be early though. Feeling suprisingly good at the moment, very much related to DS behaving pretty well for the last few days.

Loving the abbreviations by the way!

MotherOfNations · 10/09/2013 14:36

He's only on a 6 month contract which ends in November so she seems to think she doesn't have to give him anything. He is a section 1 support worker and when she found out he was intending to apply for the section 2 jobs coming up soon she said there was no point as the positions were only open to women so I think she's just being a grade A bitch.
One of the other support workers said she would forego her annual leave if it meant dp got the dates we wanted but we'd hate to put someone else in that position.

Haylebop12 · 10/09/2013 14:45

Checking in... Eagerly awaiting today's news! SC here at 35+2. I do however think I'm losing my plug. Sorry if tmi but quite a lot of snotty looking mucous this morning.

Wow last Xmas really was shit for many of us. I didn't miscarry last Xmas but the baby I mmc'd was due 27/12 so another crappy Onw here (ish).

Anyone feel like They have been pregnant for a year? I feel like I found out just after Xmas and the shops are selling xmas stuff already.

Oh dear mon hope things can get sorted for your dp.
