Flyer I've never been hungrier than when I was breastfeeding! So perhaps keep your diet plan 'fluid' until you see how you feel.

I'll join the size 10 by Christmas club. I am in maternity size 12 at the mo, and look likely to have put on about 2.5 stone by full term unless I hit the cakes big style. Put 3 stone on last time so happy enough about that.

Any news legally?

Tarlia · 10/09/2013 18:29

4 in labour/having CS's and no news? Ladies, shame on you :P

I've been admitted. The Dr was going to send me home with means to do a 24 hour catch, but she spoke to the professor who said, noway, admit her :(. The MW has decided to start the catch in the morning - wtf!? My room mate is in sporadic labour, whinge bag. Now she is snoring. You wait, I'll be screaming like a banshe this time after a totally silent time last. /rant

My battery is dying so ill be back later, just wanted to baby check and update you all.

Natalieand · 10/09/2013 18:31

Sorry u have been admitted and have a shitty room mate tarlia but its good they r keeping a close eye on u. Get that battery charged, your gunna need it lol

PseudoBadger · 10/09/2013 18:39

Oh dear Tarlia, but as always I'm pleased they are keeping an eye on you x

Hmm That you have been admitted Tarlia, you need some ear plugs by the sound of things.

Excellent diet buddies, should we do a postnatal diet thread where we can share our news, updates on diets, maybe a weekly weigh in, share tips and recipes etc and be a general support for one another. That way anyone who doesn't want to listen about us banging on about weight and dieting doesn't need to....

Umlauf I hope you manage to lose weight healthily. I know it's easy to try the quick route, I've never purged but I have taken diet pills (basically speedShock) to assist diets, very bad and i would never do it again. An ex finishes with me years ago and when we broke up he told me I'd let myself go and I was fat Hmm, twat....he then shacked up with a 6ft skinny thing and it shattered my confidence and body image, from then on I had eating problems for years it's only been in the past 4-5 years I've overcome them.
Sorry for long post.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 10/09/2013 19:21

Where are these babies??? I think the twins are girls, don't know why! Hope skulls induction is going to plan too. Also hoping falcons appointment went ok! So sorry you are in tarlia, but at least they are keeping a close eye on you now.

All of you fantastically motivated dieters put me to shame. I've never been small, was a 14 pre pregnancy and will probably be a big 16 in normal clothes afterwards i reckon. I'm not going to stress too much about it until after Christmas i don't think. I'm hoping bfing will work its magic and I will effortlessly drop to a size 6? not deluded at all! Grin

Natalieand · 10/09/2013 19:25

I think it's quite possibly I have developed OCD this afternoon with regards to refreshing....

Haylebop12 · 10/09/2013 19:26

heffalump I too am refusing to even think about it until after Xmas. By then baby will be 8 weeks at least and to me that's just about right. I'd put on a lot of weight before falling pg this time. 2 dress sizes in 2 1/2 years.

Pre-preg size 16 hoping to be a 14 by Easter which us around 12 stone for me and then 12 by next Xmas which is around 10 1/2 stone for me. Trying to be realistic as I love food!

My sister gets married in August, I'm not brides and but would like to be proud of myself in the piccies!

PseudoBadger · 10/09/2013 19:33

BP is 144/80 tonight, the highest today was 138/91. I'll pop to the gp tomorrow for a urine dip I think.

Evening all. Just checking in - 37w tomorrow and SC.

Thanks for the new thread.

I too have been refreshing the thread all day waiting for news! Have a feeling that legally will have 2 boys. Don't know why, I have just thought it all along!

I am not going to put too much pressure on myself to lose my pregnancy weight (2 stone, all on the front) until I have recovered from the birth and am used to having a baby! Plus I will probably require a guilt-free Christmas and then maybe see where I am at weight-wise in the New Year.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 10/09/2013 19:34

Glad I'm not the only one not thinking about it just yet hayle! I've been bang on track weight gain wise through this pregnancy, so I'm not going to stress. :)

Umlauf · 10/09/2013 19:39

GRRRR I just got my only nursing bra out to try on again and the clasp snapped!! They don't sell anything above a D cup in Spain!!

Have emailed bravissimo in a panicked state!! What if I go into labour now??!!! Aaaghhh!!!!

PseudoBadger · 10/09/2013 19:40

Last time I tried to diet whilst breastfeeding from about 3 months, and felt so ill I had to stop! Then began again when DS was about 7 months and lost more than 2 stone really easily. So I'm not intending to worry for ages!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 10/09/2013 19:42

Oh no umlauf!!

Forgot to say, asda have their baby stuff on offer again. We got johnsons extra sensitive baby wipes at £4 for a box of six! Picked up two boxes :) bargain!

Umlauf · 10/09/2013 19:44

Sorry tarlia in my bra related panic I totally glossed over your post, I hope you're ok and they are keeping a close eye on you, you're in the best place xx

JellyCurls · 10/09/2013 19:45

Heff watch those wipes, my DD ended up with what looked like chemical burns on her rear end when we used them sorry not meaning to scare you

roofio87 · 10/09/2013 19:54

I have very graciously let dp watch the football and said I'll catch up of Great British bake off tomorrow, but am feeling resentful of my niceness now!!

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/09/2013 19:56

SC @ 34+2 (Good idea shire! It might become harder to keep up as people start popping!)

Loving all the autumn/Christmas chat. Mmm crisp mornings, crumbles, mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas tree and fires. Smile

I got a bit miserable when I decided to measure my tummy and hips last night at the same time as boobs. I am 40" 39" 41" so my hips/bum are bigger than everything. Hips dont look nearly as big as my bump so don't quite understand but clearly they are. Not sure what size that would make me now or what I should aim for by when. I was about 31" 24" 34" this time last year so I definitely want to shrink back to an 8 if not 6 as I have clothes in both sizes but don't do dieting as my diet is restrictive enough already. I will see where breastfeeding and walking with the pushchair gets me to start with. Hoping it just happens with no effort... Hmm I may need to do some arm exercise, they have gone flabby from 7 months of no lifting! Hoping to go straight from maternity wear back into my old clothes as don't want to buy special new fat clothes. what a miserable shop that would be!

Have been whizzing though the threads in the hope of some after work baby news. Disappointed so far and will join the obsessive refreshers!

MoN hope your DP gets something sorted but doesn't sound like a place he would want to stay after the contract is up anyway. Can they do anything if he just calls in sick? Will he get sick pay?

Did someone (odd life?) mention going it alone. Do you mean no birthing partner? I definitely want DH there and can't imagine doing it alone, but we do get the 2 weeks statutory paternity pay and DHs work are letting him use a few days annual leave over a couple of weeks for a phased return so I don't go straight to being alone for days on end which is pretty good.

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/09/2013 20:00

Tarlia hope things go ok for you tonight and tomorrow and someone finds you some ear plugs.

textbook · 10/09/2013 20:04

Roofio I am being similarly generous and picking dp up from work rather than watch bake off. Hope they realise how lucky they are!!

Tarlia hope you can get some sleep - thinking of you x

COME ON BABIES!

[refreshes]

notsoold · 10/09/2013 20:07

Orange....it was me who mentioned no birth partner. My lovely DH never coped with health things ( passing out and vomiting everywhere) so out of necessity I was on my own the first time. Then it turned out fine being on my own as I could focus on the baby ( not judging anybody...just the way it works for me) .
Second time around was the same and therefore the same this time....
Meanwhile DH stayed with the children and this time around he says he will pace outside the hospital....

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/09/2013 20:10

You are very brave! Though I imagine a fainting husband would just be a distraction.

Haylebop12 · 10/09/2013 20:14

I know exactly where your coming from notsoold
I had my DM there as well as dh last time I gave birth. He doesn't cope well with hospitals or blood etc so was pretty much a waste of a person tbh! Hoping to have my DM there again this time and dh in the background somewhere!

MotherOfNations · 10/09/2013 20:16

Tarlia You're in my thoughts. You're in the best place I suppose annoying as it may be.

Dp's manager txt tonight to say he can have the 4th after all. He was planning on taking it off sick but fearedhe might be sacked as the manager would know the real reason he'd taken the time off. He was so upset tonight he didn't care anymore. Other staff members were sympathetic and said they would rearrange their annual leave if they had to. Nobody there likes her and quite a few of her staff are leaving so maybe she's thought about this and realised that Dp might be worth hanging on to.

Spotted a thread in pregnancy by nelly in pregnancy sling advice on slow labour so she's still with us.
