Good luck with the scan today Diege - fx for a nice high placenta!

Argh, I've forgotten everything I wanted to post, and my iPhone app is playing up and not submitted my last 2 attempts [grrr]. I'm off for a nap (!), 36+6, SC and only 12 days until my section!!!

Slippysnow · 12/09/2013 12:59

Brilliant news, legally.

And bridget and umalaf my degree was BAeducation, culture and society. Which looks at child development, the curriculum, society diversity etc. fascinating and really set me up on the right path for becoming a primary shool teacher, if all goes to plan in 2014 :)

tuckingfits · 12/09/2013 13:00

And welcome to the world, Lilly, Hugo and Valentina Flowers

SC at 35+4
I've been lurking but not posting the last few days as just very busy at work and tired after the long weekend away.
Hope today's scans/bp readings/worries about movements etc are all positive and everyone is OK.

So who's next on the CS/induction calendar?

Flyer747 · 12/09/2013 13:01

Yey legally Huge congratulations and how perfect one of each Grin so chuffed for you and your family. I love the names, it's such wonderful news.

Natalieand · 12/09/2013 13:13

How r u doing falcon xx

MotherOfNations · 12/09/2013 13:14

I went off to rearrange the two eldest dd's bedroom to stop me refreshing smitten Not an advisable activity when your 35 wks pregnant.

Congratulations Legally. You had us all a bit worried.
I always liken the sensations during c-section to someone washing dishes in your stomach.

moonblues · 12/09/2013 13:37

Congratulations legally. So glad the twins arrive safely and are both doing well. :)

Warlin · 12/09/2013 13:37

Morning all

Eternally grateful to my little bub who turned yesterday, saving me from the ghastly EVC..scan this morning revealed that baby was head down and slow low that they could barely see the head and couldn't tell if he was engaged..?? Midwife was very surprised at how active he still was and kept getting kicked :) she did say I still have a lot of amniotic fluid so he could turn again. Have to go back next week.

Ds was born on this day (37+1) so happy for baby to come now before he turns again. Any tips in inducing labour?!

clapham good luck finishing work tmw...you will feel so much better with that out of the way!

I feel like an 80 year old woman too....I really can barely move when I get up in the morning. Sorry to those who aren't sleeping.

Dying to hear from legally

cherrycherry41 · 12/09/2013 13:46

Congrats legally!! One of each, how lovely Grin hoping for an earlier discharge for you, i found after my cs that i healed SO much better at home than in hospital!
Thanks Thanks Thanks

PseudoBadger · 12/09/2013 13:51

Legally so lovely to hear from you, many many congratulations!

Well I've driven all the way to Milton Keynes this morning to get DS a new car seat so am worn out. Sorry if I don't name check!

Left hospital last night at 9pm, bloods all fine and bp ok today at home so far which is good.

When I had DS I worried about ruining my dogs' lives :o Now I'm worried about DS like the rest of you who already have one dc. Ds and I besotted with each other Blush and he is very clingy. I'm not sure if He has a clue what's going to happen really. He says hello to the baby bump and kisses it. He plays so well with the babies at the childminder's and is very loving and caring in general. But he will say things like "no like baby", "no see baby" etc :( And of course I'll be in hospital for a few days and then unable to lift him or let him clamber on me :( I guess we'll see.....

I packed my bag yesterday - now to pack the baby's.....

Just had the community MW in nat bp is 140ish over 80 odds so still high for me but nothing the hospital will do about it. She is convinced I will go any min as she got her HB just above my pubic bone that with being 3cm dilated and having bulging forewaters she says it really can't be long before it proper kicks off but I just dont know lol Im 37+4 today.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 12/09/2013 13:53

Brilliant news Legally - I hope you are all home very soon. I just can't imagine what it must be like to have two little bundles to gaze at x

Warlin - clever baby turning just in time! Fingers crossed he likes that position and stays firmly put....."No more acrobatics baby Warlin"

SC at 35+4, feeling a bit crappy!

BowlFullofJelly · 12/09/2013 14:23

Fab news legally, thrilled for you and thanks for updating us!

Well done baby warlin, and I'm crossing fingers for you falcon that it all kicks off soon.

I'm going from 1 to 2, but not worried about DS, as I've been working FT since he was 5 months old and so will be spending much more time with him for at least the next 9 months even with bubba. Must admit I haven't really thought about the baby as a real person yet though, more just the practicalities around managing a newborn and toddler. I'm also pretty convinced we are going to have stereotypical special mother and son, and special daddy and daughter type bonds, but we shall see.

37 + 5 today, and despite all of the new arrivals in the last few days it still seems a bit unreal and a long way away. Haven't even got hospital bag packed yet, and haven't given much thought to starting currys, dtd etc to get things moving. Trying not to be in such a rush this time - think the memories or the sleepless nights, poosplosions etc are keeping me patient
