Yes I hope there will be some serious weight loss as well. I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight, but a) that was quite a bit heavier than I like to be and b) I'm bigger and wobblier, so a lot of my clothes still don't fit. Doesn't help that a friend of a friend whose baby is just a little older than Vic just posted some holiday photos on FB of her in a bikini, she's skinny with a totally flat stomach the bitch Envy

Alexandra6 · 25/09/2013 07:50

What like I'm going to look post birth hazle? Grin My prebirth denial is still going strong!

cavort poor you Sad Tiredness makes everything feel worse as well! I'm sure this is just a short phase for Elodie.

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 07:58

Oh god cavort you poor thing, can't imagine how awful you must feel. I have no advice I'm afraid, except to not even bother getting dressed. She must be so over tired Hmm has she got a cold or anything, might some calpol help? Is she eating ok?

I'm not back to Pre preg weight due to being a greedy lazy pig but am almost there. What's weird though is what a different shape I am?! Hoping the last few pounds will miraculously change everything though! Wink

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 08:01

Oh and like you hazle, I was heavier than usual/I like when I got preg, so still have quite a way to go.

Dreamt that we all met in a pub last night. The only thing was that Alex didn't tell me you were all going to be there, so I was weirdly wearing trousers that I couldn't do up over my tummy. You were all rake thin. Clearly my weight is on my mind!

HazleNutt · 25/09/2013 08:32

I also have that holiday coming up in just ..eeek, 3 weeks. And I refuse to wear tankinis or swimsuits on the beach. Will do 2 classes at the gym tonight.

Alexandra6 · 25/09/2013 08:43

janey what do you mean a change in shape?! You had skinny jeans when I saw you! I'm going to have to get my waist back post birth ASAP as with hips and a big bum like mine, I need a tiny waist!!

I hope poor cavort and Elodie are napping, sounds really tough.

Alexandra6 · 25/09/2013 08:45

Wonder if I will ever fit back into my teeny tiny all saints jeans I wore the year I got married?! They were lovely Smile

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 08:50

My waist is just somehow thicker than before ConfusedConfused
let's not mention my boobs

Quodlibet · 25/09/2013 08:59

Hazle from what I remember being told he was violently sick and had a rash that came on so fast you could see it advancing over his body. Don't think he had anaphylaxis though.

Poor Cavort! Hoping you are getting a nap.

From witnessing friends experiences of BLW, which I think looks lovely in principle, it involves every meal taking about 4 hours and every surface in 3m radius of baby becoming encrusted with dropped/thrown food. Watching them dedicatedly pick up one pea at a time with intense concentration is very sweet but then they often get distracted by something before it gets to their mouth so it can take an age to get the calories in! I think there's a middle ground to be had where you put some food in front of them to feed themselves with but also shovel the main part of the meal in with a spoon!

HazleNutt · 25/09/2013 09:32

oh sorry it was you quod who mentioned the poisoning. But you might be on to something, there is apparently a histamine fish poisoning that has all my symptoms - rash, swelling, loss of vision, low bloodpressure and can easily be mistaken for an allergic reaction. I haven't found if shrimp could cause it, so need to investigate it further, as this would be a massive relief if it was just a food poisoning.

BelissimaLol · 25/09/2013 10:18

Oh cav I'm so sorry Elodie is being a little monster!
Lara also woke up at 3:30 (granted from being asleep since 9:30) but then decided it was time to play so I too was awake with her until 6:30 when I gave up and handed her over to my mum. I only have two more days of this luxury!
On the weight front I'm also 1.5 st over my pre pg weight ConfusedConfused which is 1 st over where I should be. So if I'm honest I need to lose 2.5 st. I'm hoping once mum leaves with her stock of cakes and cream it will get better!! But I'm starting to worry I will have to actually watch what I eat rather than hope bf will sort it out HmmHmm

On other news I'm doing the life in the uk test today in an attempt to become British after living in this country for over 14 years!

MotherOfCleo · 25/09/2013 12:04

Hope you're napping cav!!!

lol my OH had to do that test, so pointless, the questions are daft and hardly related to anything you'd actually need to know. I didn't know a lot of them and I was born here. Hope all goes ok for you! It was worth it all for the UK passport! Wink Makes travelling together so much easier.

BelissimaLol · 25/09/2013 13:02

Thanks mother. My dh also got loads of questions wrong!
I already have an EU passport so no trouble travelling but I can't change my name on it so dh gets wound up that people refer to him as my partner when we travel. Now that I have a British daughter I have no excuse!
I'm hoping cav's silence means she's asleep Grin

Purplemonster · 25/09/2013 13:23

Think Lucy has got ideas from Elodie, she's screamed for no discernible reason all morning, she looks like an angry Klingon. Sigh, it's going to be one of THOSE days...

Cavort · 25/09/2013 13:43

I wish I was asleep. Sad I am however high on caffeine instead. Smile

She mercifully went to sleep from 6.30-8.30 so I grabbed a couple of hours but I still feel absolutely fucked quite tired.

Janey she does have a cold so we have been to Boots and stocked up on Calpol, saline drops and vapour rub, resulting in her now being dosed up and fast asleep on my lap but she wakes if I try to put her down. I wouldn't usually let her nap on me but I am too soft and probably making a rod for my own back will cut her some slack as she's poorly.

Lol where are you from? And Mother my DH is also from somewhere else. It says British on his passport but he definitely has traits of being from Mars. Confused

Hazle I hope your allergy does turn out to be something simple.

MotherOfCleo · 25/09/2013 15:02

cav my OH is from a little known, but often spoken of place called 'pain in the arse' it's pretty close to 'lazy town' and you can easily get to 'grouchville' from their. Gravity seems to be stronger their as he is inclined to spend most of his time sat on his arse doing sweet fa Grin

Love him really. Wink

MotherOfCleo · 25/09/2013 19:26

Grrr my mum is doing my head in, she is now telling me that we need to buy a new lawnmower as they used ours today an decided its no good. She didn't take it well when I said we had lots of other things which we would prioritise above a damn mower. God she winds me up! Im nearly 8 months pregnant as if we are bothered about a lawnmower.

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 20:08

Cavort it's contagious.... Miles cried all afternoon and reused to sleep! Thankfully his bath seems to have calmed him and he's been asleep for an hour so far...
Hope you have a good night

Cavort · 25/09/2013 20:29

Mother did your parents use it to cut their own lawn or yours? If theirs then maybe they should consider getting one themselves, and if yours say you think yours is adequate for your needs. As you say, there are bigger fish to fry.

Is anyone else watching this Mary Poppins Nanny program? She seems to be quite effective in suggesting what is usually some common sense to the idiot parents of spoiled brats but what does she look like on that bike?

Well Elodie has not long gone into a deep enough sleep for me to finally put her down despite several attempts resulting in screaming. Today has been the hardest day with her so far by quite a long way. I don't know whether it's her 12 week developmental leap or if it's just her cold, but she is so clingy and irritable. I hope it doesn't last much longer or someone might have to come collect me in a padded van!

Apologies for all my me me me whingeng today. I hope you are all well. Smile

OP posts:
Cavort · 25/09/2013 20:31

Oh Janey, I hope Miles hasn't got what Elodie has. Sad It started on Saturday night and I hope has peaked today as I really can't imagine how it could get worse.

OP posts:
Alexandra6 · 25/09/2013 20:32

cavort whinge away, sounds bloody tough. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a decent night sleep for you!

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 20:47

I swear they must be in cahoots cavort. I'm hoping it's just because they've got colds and not because they've been possessed by devil children

Purplemonster · 25/09/2013 20:47

Horrid day here too - Lucy has screamed pretty much all day, been stuck on the sofa holding a shrieking, inconsolable baby. Really hope tomorrow is a better day Sad

janey1234 · 25/09/2013 20:47

Cross post. They really are in cahoots!! Hmm

Purplemonster · 25/09/2013 20:55

Mine hasn't even got a cold, she's obviously just joining in!
