God that sounds a right pain marzipanned - you never know though, you might find your dream house thanks to having to leave cos of the rot.

Sugarmice sorry to hear you're getting the dreaded reflux - it's so horrid! I'm constantly at the gaviscon now.

Wow two other ladies at work at pregnant now too - due in march. Definitely a fertile place to be our school! One of my kids asked me today if they have me all year to which I said "yes" and moved on - although I think I may have to let some of em know soon as I think it's getting pretty obvious as my belly gets bigger by the day.

Soooo tired today as I was awake a bit late last night bidding on a maternity dress on eBay. DH says I should just "put the maximum I'm willing to pay in and leave it" but I'm used to stalking to the last second for a bargain so haven't managed yet. Although I keep forgetting to bid on things so may have to actually take his advice grrrr!

EeyoreIsh · 12/09/2013 17:43

Thanks all for the reassurance about the size of my bump, it made me feel a lot better. I'm looking forward to my scan next week, seeing baby in there will reassure me. I may have felt some movement earlier today, or it was wind, who knows Grin

marzipan what a nightmare with the rot, I hope something can be done about it, not too expensively.

I'm working from home tomorrow, so ready for a lie in and gentler day. I've got quite a lot to work through though so I can't slack entirely!

vix206 · 12/09/2013 18:26

Major early nesting here! I'm on a mass sort out so the house looks ransacked but I'm on a mission to get organised. I'm feeling fab at the moment so making the most of it! Sorry to hear some of you are still feeling sick. Confused For those with back/leg aches I can't recommend massage strongly enough.
20+2

SugarMiceInTheRain · 12/09/2013 18:43

vix glad I'm not the only one nesting already. Tomorrow I have a totally free afternoon so will be having a major sort out of the boys' toys I think (got to do it when they're not around to protest at me chucking away tat their toys which they never play with)

I recommend massage too. Brilliant. Though DH gets bored after 5 minutes of massaging my back so I plan to book a spa day with a long massage soon Grin

EeyoreIsh · 12/09/2013 18:56

vix, sugar, I did some major nesting/clearing out at the weekend. I was like a woman possessed Grin

vix206 · 12/09/2013 19:15

I've ordered 2 toy boxes from ikea a d have been ruthless and got rid of anything:
A) broken
B) with missing bits
C) not played with
D) immensely irritating ;)

Now onto kitchen drawers once DS is asleep and major tip run tomorrow pm. Grin

TeaAddict235 · 12/09/2013 19:32

Hi Ladies, can't keep up with the threads for Feb, you ladies do write often. I've been as sick as a cat since July with horrible morning sickness that occurred after 6pm everyday. I'm 18 weeks now, and my belly has popped out, but I'm sure that it's just wind. I can't seem to get rid of my trapped wind. Any thoughts? I've tried camomile, ginger tea, peppermint sweets, etc etc.

Ps. I'm not on FB so I can't show my tummy. :(

durk79 · 12/09/2013 19:33

also been clearing and sorting....its so satisfying! its to make room for all the things we've already been given people are so generous!
appointment was good as got to hear the baby's heart beat again but I need to be referred to the cardiologist for closer monitoring, nothing effecting the baby which is the main thing!

Thingymajigs · 12/09/2013 19:39

I'm also having a mad clear out. Unfortunately it isn't motivated by nesting. I'm having to force myself to clear out everything to get ready for moving house in a few weeks. Only last week the house move fell through and I was preparing to live here for another two years and now back to packing again as another house opportunity has turned up.
It's great that I'll be able to plan a nursery now but I have no idea how I'll afford baby equipment and decorating an entire house.
If anyone needs me I'll be glued to eBay and comforting myself with microwaved sponge cake.

pettyprudence · 12/09/2013 19:52

teaaddict I carry windeze where ever I go Grin I haven't actually had to use them yet as the day I bought them the trapped wind went and I have been farting non stop. I do remember this stage passing by 20wks though last time.

sugar I posted a message from my bff, a hospital pharmacist (several threads ago now!) that basically said antihistamines are fine in pregnancy. The older ones like piriton share the same ingredients as the anti-sickness meds the hg sufferers are getting.

good luck to marzi and thingy with houses. See you on pintrest where you can make up your dream home and just live it through the internet rather than actually doing anything. Cheaper too!

SugarMiceInTheRain · 12/09/2013 20:13

pettyprudence oh thanks for that, really good to know!

thingy good luck with the house move. Better now than when heavily pregnant (moved at 7 months pregnant with DS2, not good for the blood pressure when you are constantly having to harass solicitors to get their backsides in gear). They only pulled out the stops when I said that if it didn't happen within x days then I would pull out of the sale/ purchase as it wasn't worth the risk to my health! :-) Funnily enough suddenly all the problems that were hindering the progress magically evaporated...! I do love moving for how it forces me to get rid of stuff I would otherwise needlessly hold onto.

I am making a mental hit-list of places in the house to declutter...
Toyboxes, boys' bedroom, understairs cupboard, kitchen (inside cupboards/tops of units - the whole kitchen is full to bursting!), our bedroom wardrobes/ dresser, paperwork folders which I'm sure are full of stuff which could be shredded...

And don't get me started on all the deep cleaning I need to do. However, that'll be much easier to do when there's less junk to clean around Grin

Shropshiremummy2B · 12/09/2013 20:14

Sooooo bummed. Crappy day at work. Stinking fluey cold that won't budge. Get home to a letter from the hospital saying I need a glucose tolerance test to see if I've got gestational diabetes. Booooooo.

Consoling myself with profiteroles.

misskatamari · 12/09/2013 20:44

Awwww Shropshire that sucks Hmm hope the profiteroles help to cheer you up.

Very jealous of all the nesting. I'm hoping to make my third ikea trip in 2 weeks this weekend in the hope they finally have the bloody storage boxes I want in then I WILL sort my crafting area. And not buy too much at the crafting show I'm going to this weekend.

Tried the chocolate microwave cake - soooo fast and turned out great. Such a good idea Grin

Been in bed since just after 8. Mmmmm lovely bed!

laura0007 · 12/09/2013 20:59

Wish I had the nesting bug! I could do with a good tidy up.

Feel better soon Shropshire Thanks

I have just made Nutella hot chocolate and all I can say is OH MY GOD!

LovesToBake · 12/09/2013 21:40

I am SO trying a Nutella hot choc soon, sounds amazing! Loving all this talk of nesting and decluttering - I love nothing more than a good clear out and am already earmarking some of my early maternity leave days when DS is at nursery for clearing out all of the obvious suspect places - kitchen cupboards, bottom of wardrobe, under bed etc.

Good luck with your Ikea trip MissKat - can you check stock online before you go to avoid a wasted trip? We want to get a new white Malm chest of drawers for the spare room (which will eventually become DS's room when we turf him out of his cot so that the new baby can move in. Can't bring myself to make the trip (our nearest Ikeas are an hour away) with only needing one thing so keeping an ear to the ground to see if any friends are going in the next few months so we can ask them to pick it up for us!

I had a bath this evening with lavender oil in - can't recommend it highly enough, feel so utterly relaxed now. Even slipped some into DS's bath and have put some on a muslin in his room in an attempt to encourage him to lie in later than 5:30am. This morning was horrendous - he was up for the day and raring to go at 4:55am, aargh!

lyndsey90 · 12/09/2013 21:50

Drinking a nice cold Becks blue... Oh the love for non alcoholic beer!!!

vix206 · 12/09/2013 21:53

I've ordered my ikea stuff online for home delivery Smile Ikea sucks the energy out of me every time so from a distance is better Grin

Thingymajigs · 13/09/2013 07:24

That sounds so stressful sugar. Moving is difficult enough with the constant uncertainty about whether its going ahead or not. With ds1 I moved at 39 weeks. Now I'm 14 years older and get tired just decluttering in preparation so I think this will be tougher. So much for my carefree, meditating, organic, hippyish pregnancy. It'll be a manic few months decorating but I'm looking forward to it. Haven't moved in 10 years.
I've just got back in to Pinterest petty. I have a baby board, a new house ideas board and one for Christmas because I'm one of those nutters who starts counting down in August. Grin
Any idea why you got that letter shropshire? Hope today is a bit better for you.

vix206 · 13/09/2013 07:33

We moved when DS was 2 weeks old, in a way it was the easiest move ever for me as I was so poorly I couldn't do anything other than sit and feed DS. DH wouldn't let me be directly involved in any of the estate agent/solicitors side as he didnt want me to take on any stress. So I was a bit of a passenger really.

Even so a big upheaval (moving to a new area etc) but so worth it.

vix206 · 13/09/2013 07:34

Thingy I've almost finished my Xmas shopping Grin not always this organised but I know I will be huge in December and I just have this burning desire to be super-organised. Nearing instinct! I just wish it lasted forever!!

Thingymajigs · 13/09/2013 08:03

Now that is impressive vix. I wish my Christmas obsession extended to actually buying things in advance. So far I've pinned a few ideas about how to make reindeer and snowmen marshmallow treats which is pretty useless. Next Christmas we will all have babies crawling around pulling down baubles.

vix206 · 13/09/2013 08:12

I've been following the bargain threads in the Christmas section on here. Amazing deals!!

vix206 · 13/09/2013 08:15

Grin When DS was smaller I had the Xmas tree in a playpen to stop him from pulling it down!!

Sassy20 · 13/09/2013 09:33

We moved the day after my due date with dd!!! Not recommended but she did wait till we were sorted before making her appearance at exactly 41 weeks! Smile

EeyoreIsh · 13/09/2013 09:47

gosh vix that's so organised!

I'm a bundle of woe this morning. I couldn't sleep because I had my braces tightened yesterday and they really hurt, and I've got a horrible sore throat cold thing that appeared at 1am Angry

on the plus side, lying awake for ages in the middle of the night gave me q chance to find my uterus. The top of it is just under the belly button, which I think is right for 19 weeks.
