rose oh. My. God. Are you sure he's a man?? Wink my bloke would never do that for me- it wouldn't even cross his (typically male) mind. Don't get me wrong, I love him to bits but he definitely isn't the sensitive type and sometimes i struggle when he just doesn't get why i'm upset etc. You are very lucky!!

4 weeks may feel like a long time but once it's over just remember you'll be together and you have very exciting times ahead! Just try to stay busy and maybe try and have friends round or go out so you're not all by yourself.

MrsShrubs · 11/09/2013 10:03

Thanks ladies OH is great and has been great. Have woken up today not feeling as hormonal so hopefully won't be having a weepy day today!

You guys are so brave still watching OBEM and midwives, ever since that test said pregnant I have avoided at all costs in case I freak out!

rose what an absolute champ you have, that is the nicest thing I've ever heard organising and making favours for everyone! Really sorry you're feeling down & can completely see why, that really sucks. Did you say the other day you've got people staying with you to break up being on your own a bit? At least these days there is Skype/FaceTime if you have access to them & in 4 weeks you'll be off on an adventure!

mumoftwo that is really bad of your MW, hopefully your doctors can sort you out!

Roselau · 11/09/2013 10:13

Thanks mum and mrs - he is a particularly good one, glad I snagged him :) yes, I have friends staying over and my mom coming for the last week. So I only have 8 nights by myself in the flat. It will all be fine and go super fast I know. Today is just hard, but it will get easier.

I also avoid all these shows, they will only make me freak out! I don't have a telly anymore so that makes it easier to avoid :)

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 11/09/2013 10:41

So just for the record, do not watch 101 dalmatians. You will end up a sobbing mess after lucky nearly dying and the puppies getting stolen. Poor Perdy's face is heartbreaking.

Hope you're all well Smile

Chilli81 · 11/09/2013 11:20

rose that is so sweet of your dp. like mum my dp is amazing in many ways but it would never occur to him to do something like that. lucky you. I know it's hard to be on your own (I hate it when dp is away for even a night) but try to do things that you would not normally be able to. in my case it's not cooking proper dinners or watching what I want on i player or reading good books. it will fly by.

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 11/09/2013 12:00

I'm back at the hospital again Sad BabyCrying hasn't moved much in a few days and I'm still having pains. Hope the little one is all right in there. I for one feel really rather unwell.

rose I feel for you. I couldn't imagine DP not being here. It's only a few weeks though and it will fly by. You'll soon be jetting off to be with him. You can use up all of the bed without being moaned at and nobody will tell you off for eating too much chocolate Grin

NomDeClavier · 11/09/2013 12:35

crying :( Hope everything's ok with little one and that they'll figure out what's making you feel unwell.

rose your DH is a real gem. I know it sucks to be separated, especially when your PG and it's so far apart but time will just fly past, honestly it will, and you'll have a whole load of things to look forward to when you're on the other side!

mum your MW sounds dire. Just what you don't need....

Carole803 · 11/09/2013 13:47

Roselau chin up, time will fly and in the meantime, we'll keep you company :)

Crying I hope everything is ok. Keep us posted and be strong.

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 11/09/2013 13:52

Been monitored for babys movements and it is moving fine apparently. I've been sent home but I feel really rough. My brain feels like it's going to explode and my sinus's hurt. Everywhere aches. I think it's just the change in weather making me ill as the midwives didn't seem concerned. Wish DP wasn't working till 8pm, I could do with some cuddles.

MrsShrubs · 11/09/2013 14:02

Glad alls okay with baby crying fingers crossed you start to feel better soon

abcdemma · 11/09/2013 14:03

rose I'm sure time will fly by but we all understand how it must suck to be so far apart. Do you have skype/facetime? On the other hand he sounds like an absolute angel, you're a lucky lady!!
crying glad all is well with bambino, just take the time to get yourself some rest and recover.
Started introducing Archibald to Harry Potter by playing the soundtrack to him via headphones on my stomach. I do plan to have him hooked by the time he's born lol and loving his reaction (except the kicking my bladder part), they say classical music is good for them don't they so this is my version haha. Anyone else played music for their little ones?
Gonna catch up on midwives & the bake off whilst eating the entirety some of the apple crumble I've just made :)

Roselau · 11/09/2013 15:07

thanks so much for all your kind words - i really appreciate it... as you all say it will fly by. I've started countdown mode ;) 27 days to go!

crying i'm glad everything seems to be ok, but it's still emotionally draining I'm sure... I think it's time for you to sit in front of the telly with comfort food or whatever makes you feel good!

mumoftwoboysS · 11/09/2013 17:19

Glad all is ok crying.

I had a good cry earlier when I couldn't find the shopping list - the kids were just looking at me like I'd gone mad. I then promptly scoffed a snickers and felt better. God hormones are annoying!

Just so hungry today- definitely an 'eating crap' day. Now I'm on the salt and vinegar crisps...

I haven't played music to my little one yet tho I'd love to see his/her reaction so may have to try it!

Chilli81 · 11/09/2013 18:50

Hey ladies
Crying glad you're ok. Nothing scarier than not feeling bubs move. Youve done the right thing in getting checked out
Mum I'm feeling you on the hormones! My SPD has been especially bad these past couple of days and today at work I couldnt concentrate from the pain. I ended up bursting into tears in front of my boss which was mortifying! He's really sweet but I really hate coming across as a pathetic hormonal pregnant woman. I think I'm finding it particularly hard because I'm normally fit and active so its hard not being able to do things.
Anyway, he sent me home and I've been lying in bed all afternoon and my Dad is looking after DS1 as DP is away with work. Have booked myself in to see osteopath tomorrow as I;m not sure the physio is working for me. Cant' believe I've got another 3 months of this! On the plus side have been feeling loads of kicks and movement so I know LO is ok. Sorry for the moan.
abcdemma good idea playing bump music. I should definitely do that as they can definitely hear by now and classical music is supposed to be really good for them.

NomDeClavier · 11/09/2013 19:05

I think it's just Wednesday is a crap day. I've been in tears several times today too (not helped by DS just generally being a toddler).

Here's to tomorrow being better!

MsCatShoes · 11/09/2013 20:02

Everyone is having crap days! Nom , crying and chilli hugs. Think your boss probably expects it chilli

I'm on the crap food too mum - having VERRRY cheesy pizza for tea and eyeing up the Emergency Chcolate Buttons that I know are hidden in the glove compartment of the car (would love a bottle of win to myself but hey-ho).

I play bouncy music to my bump like Queen and he seems to love it, often jiving around and kicking to it. He also now responds to DH when he talks to it.

The only thing I want to ask - does anyone else have a sharp pain around the bellybutton (mine's on the left side) - I feel like someone has punched me there and it's left an achingly-sharp bruise pain there (I know they haven't!). I press and rub it but it doesn't go away. Is it worth harassing the midwife?

Deya · 11/09/2013 20:12

I'm joining in on Wednesday moan. Actually Wednesdays suck so badly that I have asked to work half-days every Wednesday till I'm off on my leave. So that will be next 5 weeks with a midweek break. Good, now I can see the end of it.

NomDeClavier · 11/09/2013 20:12

mrs that sounds like the start of my diastasis rectii (abdominal separation). Avoid any kind of sit-up movement - roll onto your side and swing your legs over the edge of your bed using your obliques to pull you up, use your arms rather than your abs to pull yourself up out of the bath etc.

If you're concerned talk to your MW, but if it is that it's not serious - you might just need a bit of extra physio after the birth to close the gap.

Now you know for sure about my Wednesday moan!Grin
Sorry for the multiple posts...

Stom91 · 11/09/2013 20:22

MsCatShoes I used to have a similar pain but mine seems to have stopped now so hopefully yours will ease off? I sent you a message about the Facebook group as couldn't find you :(

Deya. Haha well that's sounds like a good idea!!

Dr signed me off for a month today :/ boss has actually started to take me seriously now. He was like oh it must be bad then. my mat leave starts afraid the sick note so I'm officially finished work now.

Looking forward to my new coat arriving! It'd starting to get chilly may brave tot are my hot water bottle out of hibernation! Lol

Stom91 · 11/09/2013 20:23

May have too* stupid phone

Deya · 11/09/2013 20:36

Yayyyyyy! Stom! Congrats on being off work! Smile
You'll have a chance now to organize your days by how you feel and that should make the rest of the pregnancy easier. Enjoy it!

MsCatShoes · 11/09/2013 20:48

stom I found you and messaged you Smile

I'm hoping it's a temporary thing but I have rung the MW as abdominal separation thing sounds terrifying, especially after doing the stupid thing of googling it ...

I'm hoping it's just because the little munchkin is making a concerted effort to push my extremely-innie into an outie to get the extra inch of space.
