As for eating (im off work today) i had left over spagetti for breakfast?!?! And now having ravioli for lunch and as many ribena ice lollies i can handle havent even had lunch yet and already looking forward to dinner..... Hmm

MummyPig24 · 06/08/2013 13:37

My scan isn't until September 7th! Seems an age away :-(

I am starving today. So hungry. I had weetabix for breakfast and leftover veggie chilli for lunch, followed by 2 Jaffa cakes. Now I'm hungry again!

FrankelInFoal · 06/08/2013 13:37

Pram I think it's normal to be worried about such things. Folks like me and you (no offence to others) who have struggled for so long to get pregnant probably worry even more.

My DH is my voice of reason, whenever I have a wobble (of which there have been several!) he simply says we take one day at a time. The odds are in our favour, having seen a heartbeat, and if the worst does happen then we will deal with it.

faithfulandtruthful · 06/08/2013 13:47

Sadly my life had no 'funny' stories of late.

Just out of interest, how many ladies haven't had a scan at all yet? I know quite a few 'high risk'/ivf ladies seem to get scanned earlier and quiet a few people have chosen to go privately but who hasn't had a scan at all??

I am nearly 9 weeks and have my booking appointment on Thursday so I am guessing I will find out/have to wait for a letter about a scan date then ish, I am 12weeks the last week in August so I am expecting a date around then.

Pram - Have a manly hug. Frankel speaks with wisdom. Please try not to worry and try and enjoy it. You've waited such a long time and it would be such a shame to worry all the way through.

Probably not what you want to hear...but my eldest is 5.5 and I have worried about him since the day I saw that second line. Would I get through the first 12 weeks, was I feeling enough kicks, would he be ok in childbirth, was he too hot in his crib, was I feeding him the right stuff, was he at the right pre-school, will he settle at school, does he watch too much TV...?!?!? It's overwhelming, because I am always thinking ahead and overanalysing everything rather than enjoying the moment.

My second I worry about less, for no particular reason... I have enjoyed her pregnancy and last three years with her so much more. Perhaps I just don't have the brain capacity to worry on the same scale...

Don't get me wrong, its normal to worry, especially when you are carrying a much longed for cargo but I can pretty much guarantee you'll enjoy the ride so much more if you enjoy each moment of being pregnant and having a child rather than trying to always see the bigger picture or jumping too far ahead.

F&T no early scan here, 12 week scan in 11 days though, eeek!

April13 · 06/08/2013 14:56

whilst projectile vomitting up last nights spaghetti dinner some strands actually came out my nose and some wee also came out, so I had spaghetti hanging from my nostrils and i'd pished myself. DH found it a great source of amusement. Hope it helps cheer some other people up ;)

LyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2013 14:57

Just woken from a three-hour nap. This tiredness really is getting ridiculous. On the plus side, there's been no sign of any blood today so hopefully it was just a blip.

My mum is coming over soon to help me get on top of the housework I haven't been doing the last few days. My sons are due home this evening after 10 days away and I want everything to be nice for them Smile

LyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2013 14:59

Lol April. Ds1 once sneezed while eating spaghetti and ended up with some strands down his throat at one and and hanging out his nose at the other. He was so shocked his face was a picture Grin

rosyryan · 06/08/2013 15:08

Mines not til the 12th September! I'll be 12+4.

rosyryan · 06/08/2013 15:09

Oops, managed to miss reading an entire page of posts there!

rosyryan · 06/08/2013 15:14

Oh Pram. I feel for you. I truly thought I would lose my mind when pg with my DD. I couldn't have worried any more. I am taking Teddys mighty fine advice with this pregnancy and its made a world of difference to my mental health. Next scan on Friday?

rosyryan · 06/08/2013 15:15

April that was a beautiful story, thanks for sharing Grin

babybear9 · 06/08/2013 15:26

does anyone else have an itchy fajita?! new symptom last two days!

PramQueen1971 · 06/08/2013 15:28

Frankel, Teddy & Rosy, thank you so much. I feel pathetic coming here with irrational wobbles when women are suffering properly so I'd like to apologise. It's not just that this is an IVF baby that cost £6k but the mmc at eleven weeks last year is haunting me. To hear that Soured has lost her baby after seeing a heartbeat is just terrifying to me. I'm sorry.

PramQueen1971 · 06/08/2013 15:29

Yes, rosy, I have my fourth scan on Friday at 10+3. I feel like a pathetic loser, I really do.

faithfulandtruthful · 06/08/2013 15:42

Pram I haven't been through all you have been through BUT I had a total wobble the other week over MMC (I hadn't even heard of it before and it totally freaked me out! Like you, one of the ladies on here reported hers on this thread and it freaked me out big time). I am 1st timer without any of your history of any problems, so I think that you shouldn't feel badly that you are having a bit of a freak out (although I feel a bit ashamed of myself).

I think it should be listed as a symptom of pregnancy the inability to think about things (mainly pregnancy related) without becoming an irrational mess.

I hope the scan goes well on Friday and it reassures you a bit.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/08/2013 15:43

Don't apologise Pram. It's totally understandable that you'll be even more worried than most of us here.

faithfulandtruthful · 06/08/2013 15:48

babybear An itchy Fajita (love it) could be a sign of a yeast infection, I believe they are common in pregnancy due to fluctuating hormone levels, I advise, if you can, to cut back on sugary things and eat plenty of natural yoghurt and keep hydrated. If you experience any usual discharge cream cheese like substance from down there or you continue to feel itchy go to the Dr and get it checked out.

FrankelInFoal · 06/08/2013 15:49

Definitely don't apologise Pram.

every single one of us, whether we fell pregnant at the first attempt or needed medical assistance is entitled to feel worried, even scared. You have to remember that we are all walking hormonal time bombs at the moment! I'm surprised "Pregnant" doesn't get used as a mitigating factor in more court cases Wink

Beccadugs · 06/08/2013 15:55

Yes, don't apologies Pram! We all wobble...

It is such a nerve wracking time and, it does seem to be going on forever! I feel like I'll never reach 12 weeks without going totally nuts!!

PramQueen1971 · 06/08/2013 15:56

Thank you, for being so kind.

rosyryan · 06/08/2013 15:57

You are most definitely not a pathetic loser. You are in a situation you have absolutely no control over, trusting in a process that you can't see happening. It's no wonder we are all a bunch of basket cases!

x0gawjus0x · 06/08/2013 16:09

I think the only way id be remotely satisfied is having a pocket sized screen connected to a permanant video camera in my womb! ...

Beccadugs · 06/08/2013 16:13

Yes gawjus like a viewing window in a glass bottomed boat.

We were joking about this with my very pregnant friend, and decided to call it the shark tank... Weird!!
