Hi all! Providing the ladies who are currently in hospital don't give birth before the last 20 posts in our old thread, we've made it to a new one with babies all still staying put for now!

Here's the stats thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/a1694946-September-2013-STATS-THREAD

Welcome newbies! If anyone wants to join the FB group (better for sharing documents and pictures), please message myself or jennimoo with your real life name and email address and we can add you to the group!

Ouch ouch ouch! Think my pelvis is disintergrating!!! I am guessing this is spd-fine lying or sitting down or walking, just the moving between the two which is painful. Find me self staggering around for a few minutes before I can ease off the pain with hip wriggling. Gosh, feel for you guys who have had this for months!

Very pregnant kinda day here, volunteered at parkrun, had second breakfast, came come and slept for 2 hours, had lunch, made crumble, ate crumble and came to bed :D lovely day! Nursery pairing all finished, carpet delivery Tuesday hurrah!

SGJ glad yr ok, hope cake and tea calms you down and rest up, hope no nasty effects x

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 24/08/2013 22:37

Ooh SGJ, not nice! Do take care and enjoy resting up with that cake.

I am being pummelled from all inner angles as usual, after having spent the day crawling about under our bed sorting stuff in storage, and packing boxes to go in the loft (which DH hasn't put up there). No show or waters but lots of white/creamy pant snot (as we used to say on the ttc threads!) and I have another interesting symptom which is too too TMI to write! but I will divulge it later if anything kicks off soon because I sort of see how it might be relevant.

MrsMangoBiscuit · 25/08/2013 08:05

I'm not normally much of a sweetie fan, but they sure didn't last long. Would you believe it though, we managed to forget to buy the new mattress for DDs bed, guess we'll have to pop back in! Mwah ha ha ha! Grin

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 25/08/2013 08:33

How am I going to have the energy needed for labour if I wake from a full night's sleep still exhausted??? 'only' three toilet trips too.

Kittenkatzen · 25/08/2013 08:55

rake I was just wondering the exact same thing! I guess this is our body preparing us for the constant exhaustion if having a newborn?!

sgj sounds like a nasty shock, hope you're feeling better this morning Thanks

Readytosettle · 25/08/2013 09:01

Netflix fail this morning...watched 'The other woman'...Natalie portman, synopsis said it was about a second marriage with baggage so far, so normal...

Turns out the baggage (and thus pretty much the whole film) was SIDS related....not what u want to be watching at 36 weeks preggers!!! They really should have put some kind of warning on that one.

SGJ · 25/08/2013 11:06

Uuurgh, Ready, that sounds emotional. Definitely not a good one to watch right now!
I'm feeling better today, thanks all, had a good night's sleep and though my hands and feet are aching from where I landed, the baby is still moving around as much as it usually does so I'm feeling reassured that everything is ok. Been to church with DD and now sat at the indoor play area at the zoo, munching crisps at 11am. Quality!

frogchops · 25/08/2013 12:12

Am not pleased that our ikea hasn't got sweets :-(
Just having a little laugh that as its my birthday today my mum has bought me cards and pink balloons (no 30 is not too old for a balloon!!) and put them in our front window. The neighbours are def gona think I've had a baby girl!

flipflump · 25/08/2013 12:36

Happy birthday Frog!! Have a great day. Ha, nothing like playing games with the neighbours, when they see you out tomorrow they'll do a double take Smile

CheeseStrawCraving · 25/08/2013 15:25

Hi ladies, very happy to say that my pains yesterday morning were indeed labour, and William David was born yesterday afternoon at 3.41pm weighing in at a respectable 7lb 9oz. All well here, we're back at home and he's feeding and sleeping well. Great straightforward birth, and only 15 hrs ish from complete start to finish so very pleased, if not a bit sore! Hope all is well with you all, will catch up on the fred later.

EmmaDee · 25/08/2013 15:31

Yeah cheese congratulations!! Glad all went well for you, the names lovely too!

CharlW1 · 25/08/2013 15:31

Congratulations Cheesestraw that's fantastic news and lovely that you are all back at home.

Happy Birthday Frog have a lovely day Flowers

SGJ · 25/08/2013 15:40

Whoop whoop, more babies! Looking forward to updating the spreadsheet later tonight! Congratulations Cheese x

kipsonline · 25/08/2013 15:41

Yea! Congratulations cheesestraw and well done on a straightforward delivery. Doesn't it feel like you could do absolutely anything now, like you're invincible?!?
And happy birthday frog, love the confusing pink balloons ;)

andadietcoke · 25/08/2013 15:58

cheese Congratulations!! If you happen to still be around and not busy with far more important tiny baby things - how did you know it was labour and to ring up/go in in the end? I've had period pains since this morning with contractions that stopped after an hour or so (ten mins apart), but the period pain part is back now. Because I'm having an ELCS and everyone has been a bit vague about what to do if I go into labour early I've got no idea!!

jennimoo · 25/08/2013 16:03

Dietcoke - it sounds like yours could go either way so I'd call your labour no and ask someone.

SGJ · 25/08/2013 16:12

Absolutely, Dietcoke, with twins and any contractions/pains etc they will want you in for monitoring to make sure your girls are ok and to check whether to bring your ELCS forward or not. I realise that this prospect will be just a wee bit terrifying but you'll be happier knowing they're keeping an eye on things.

SGJ · 25/08/2013 16:15

Oh and Rake - any news? Also am grossly curious about your possible TMI symptom.... Placing bets now on what it could be!

andadietcoke · 25/08/2013 16:20

Even though I'm not having contractions at the moment? It's just like period pain and constant.

jennimoo · 25/08/2013 16:46

Diey coke - When I had that (first time) I had a baby by the end of the day...

I'm interested in the TMI symptom as well, rake.

I'm preparing and cooking a full roast, as many trimmings as possible, but doesn't seem to have kick started labour. I'm hoping that my baby is going to be 'perfect' from the start and arrive on his due date, as that is actually tomorrow!

SGJ · 25/08/2013 17:35

A punctual male? Now that would be perfection! Wink

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 25/08/2013 17:50

I've made two lemon drizzle cakes today (which I don't expect to last further than Wednesday, possibly not even Tuesday) and am just considering getting off my butt and making a Genoa cake because it will keep for a good while in a tin, and is excellent one handed breast feeding support food. DH now wants baby to hold off until Tuesday (due date) because he has a day of fun with DS planned tomorrow and wants not to be too tired to fulfil his promises. I want baby out out out!

SGJ, my dad pointed out a couple of months ago when his cows were less than a week from having their calves, that their vulval area became all pink, engorged, a bit loose and flappy, evidently so that on the point of delivery it would stretch better without tearing. Ahem, that's all I am saying. Floppy fanny syndrome. Blush

jennimoo · 25/08/2013 18:42

Rake - fascinating! does that involve a mirror, or just how it 'feels'?

And DH would quite like me to hold on til the new school year but I'm definitely in the out out out club!

CheeseStrawCraving · 25/08/2013 19:23

Ooh diet coke, how exciting! Mine started as period type pain, but only ever right at the bottom of my womb, they didn't spread up through bump at all. I was able to sleep through them until about 5am and then they got progressively more frequent, but still only 15-20 seconds long. They gradually spread o the three in ten mins with no break and when I finally went in at 11am ish I was already 6cm! I put it off as I thought they might tell me I was 1/2cm and I'd have to go home again! Did ring twice before I went though. All in all a short labour with an episiotomy and four stitches at the end as I was getting tired and being a wuss! Bubs was completely chilled the whole time, heart rate didn't waver at all. Feeling rather pleased with myself right now Grin

jennimoo · 25/08/2013 19:29

So jealous cheese straw, it's been 10 days of them for me now :( I know that's mean though, especially as I had a nice simple day of labour with DD. Just feeling hard done by with so many contractions and seeing everyone's gorgeous babies!
