Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Writerwannabe83 · 21/07/2013 14:55

Thanks rosyryan

It was mine and my husband's first month of trying for our first baby!!

I can't believe how quickly it happened.

Due date is March 31st so I only just scrape in here Grin

LittleMachine · 21/07/2013 14:59

Not at all rosy I was only joking. Well I wasn't joking as I do have hyperemesis but I was just being lighthearted!

Welcome over from the July bus writer, wow first month that was speedy.

Writerwannabe83 · 21/07/2013 15:05

I know!! Smile

I only had my Mirena out at the end of May. My doctor warned me it can take up to 6 months to conceive following a Mirena, hence why I'm so shocked that it happened straight away Grin

AndieDisestablishment · 21/07/2013 15:15

JK I didn't have a pool as we only had a tiny house but this time I'm going to look at hiring one as this house is much bigger and I don't fancy ruining another mattress.lol

Writer Stop peeing on things!lol

Lyra I also have wonky boobs, my left is sore, bigger and rounder but my right is its usual little self. :(

Writerwannabe83 · 21/07/2013 15:18

Andie I have, I promise.

My left boob is also the one that's causing me problems Grin

rosyryan · 21/07/2013 15:27

And me! Whats with all these massive left boobs??

Writerwannabe83 · 21/07/2013 15:31

My left one has always been a little bit bigger but 2 days ago I started getting stabbing pains in it and now it just aches. They have both definitely grown but the right one is behaving itself at least Grin

Sarahb8990 · 21/07/2013 15:53

There room for another? I got my BFP last Saturday been tryin ttc for 2.5years so really excited now :-)

babybear9 · 21/07/2013 16:29

I'm 7 +3. Expected him to take ages as to be honest as there's a lot of extra padding! But he found within a couple seconds. Been so tired today and chucked up for the first time so been lovely to have something to make it all feel good!

JuicyFatChops · 21/07/2013 16:37

Soured, I'm so pleased your fears have been assuaged with your scan. It's such a relief, isn't it?

Thanks, Rugby & Coolhand, for asking after me. I am fine, thank you; no more spotting and nausea has returned although not as pronounced. Very sore nips though! Unfortunately I am in that eighth-week-and-could-happily-stab-someone stage. I remember too well from last year this awful feeling that I could weep with rage at absolutely nothing.

Welcome, Writer and Sarah. Sarah, I think I recognise you from the Clomid thread? Don't tell me that useless drug actually worked for someone?? Congratulations!

I live in an area oop North where our two local hospitals have both been damned in the recent NHS inquiry for having unusually high stillbirths and understaffed maternity wards. No way am I giving birth at any of those. Will I be allowed a home birth even though I'll be 42? Or will they force me to give birth at a hospital miles away? It's my first child.

JuicyFatChops · 21/07/2013 16:38

Sorry, babybear, I forgot to say welcome and congrats Blush

Sarahb8990 · 21/07/2013 16:59

Hi juicy yeh I was on the clomid thread. Yes it finally worked for me on my 6th(last) round. If I hadn't it would have ment a 6-12 month wait for ovarian drilling. So been very lucky!
You should be able to have a home birth. Don't see how your age at 42 would have an effect with it.

LyraSilvertongue · 21/07/2013 17:24

Lol, my left boob is also the big one. May have something to do with the fact that ds2 would only feed from the right side.

Rosy, I'm not trying to put anyone off but my vbac was a nightmare. The constant monitoring was a problem as I was less mobile, the labour went on forever (24 hours in total) DS wouldn't come out and ended up having to be dragged out by ventouse and was in scbu for a good few hours afterwards after very low apgar scores.
I had to have an episiotomy and the healing process was 10x more painful than my cs scar. I had to sit on a blow-up ring for at least a week and going to the loo was very scary.
This is only my own experience. Without the need for the ventouse everything might well have been fine.
After two rubbish births (first was induction followed by emcs) I've concluded that my body is not built for childbirth.

LyraSilvertongue · 21/07/2013 17:30

Also things "downstairs" never really went back to normal (front gate and back gate). But I guess that's the same for most woman who have a vaginal birth.

onceipopicantstop · 21/07/2013 17:37

Hi can I join you lovely ladies? I'm due March 11th with dc2 - dc1 will be 4 when this one arrives. Told my parents today as was getting a bit complicated not telling them for various reasons. Very surprised as didnt think we were planning any more!! Feels a bit weird now someone else knows!
I'm hoping to have a private scan this week for reassurance only.
Having a few sharp twinges in my pelvis every now and again - I know this is normal but sometimes I have two separate pains at the same time - does anyone else get this?? So glad it's a bit cooler have really struggled with the heat. And am feeling so unfit - I'm out of breath even walking up stairs - what's that all about??!
Anyway looking forward to sharing the experience with you all Smile

Rockchick1984 · 21/07/2013 18:21

Lyra sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Just to say though, it's not normal for things downstairs to never return to normal - I asked about it at 6 week check after DS (I had an episiotomy) and they told me if I didn't feel normal by 6-12 months then go back and see the dr again, who could refer me to a specialist. I think it was around 6 months after he was born that I felt completely healed, wouldn't know now that I'd ever given birth!

MummyPig24 · 21/07/2013 19:07

More fresh red blood today. It was getting brown and a lot less but it's started again today. Tmi but its worse when I've had a poo!

Dr said if it worsens I can call 111 so once dcs are in bed I will do that.

rosyryan · 21/07/2013 19:40

Oh no Mummy :( They need to give you a scan, it's no good fobbing you off until twelve weeks. It's not fair on you.

Lyra that is pretty much my worst fears in a nutshell! Short of anything happening to the baby of course. I'm still in contact with my group from when I had my daughter and the number of birth injuries they sustained is unbelievable. Far far worse than my mini cs scar! Part of me wants to give birth the "proper" way, part of me thinks "who cares, save your foof!"

LyraSilvertongue · 21/07/2013 20:03

Fingers crossed for you, mummypig.

Rosy, why did you have a cs first time round? If its something that's likely to happen again, it may not be worth the pain of a long labour only to end up with a cs anyway.

LyraSilvertongue · 21/07/2013 20:04

Rockchick, the episiotomy healed ok (eventually) but things just kind of shifted about down there and never went back iyswim. It's hard to explain.

TWinklyLittleStar · 21/07/2013 20:10

There's no [fear] emoticon to use with regards to all the broken-foof talk. (can you tell it's my first?) rosyryan the 'proper' way to give birth is the way that gets the baby out, whether by foof or sunroof, its the end result that matters.

mummypig this is such a headfuck for you, you poor thing. Have you rung 111 yet?

Alcohol free Kopparberg is AMAZING! Tastes just like the real thing. My after work nap was amazing too. A 5.30am start was a bit much today.

IceNoSlice · 21/07/2013 20:17

Bleurgh 'morning' sickness returns. Poor DS, not nice to have mummy yakking in the loo whilst having your bath! Still, at his age (nearly one) I don't think he understands.

MummyPig24 · 21/07/2013 20:26

Yeah I called 111. A gp phoned me back and basically said there's nothing that can be done to stop it. Rest and take it easy (ha bloody ha), there's a 50/50 chance of miscarriage vs healthy pregnancy. He said its too early to scan, if I was 8 weeks they would but as I'm not they won't scan.

Just praying and hoping he sticks around!

MummyPig24 · 21/07/2013 20:27

I discovered schweppes summer punch which is alcohol free and tastes just like pimms!

Writerwannabe83 · 21/07/2013 20:29

Fingers crossed for you MummyPig x x
