Congratulations Impatient! Its such a worrying time - I'm on my second and it doesn't seem to be any less stressful. I'm still knicker-checking like mad and driving myself nuts. 12 weeks seems so so far away.

LittleMachine · 20/07/2013 13:57

I agree rosy, I thought I'd worry less with this pregnancy but I think I'm worse.

Coolhand · 20/07/2013 14:34

Soured so glad you got the scan.

Rockchick you said the magic words - pelvic floor exercises - better get those started!

Congratulations Impatient. It's an exciting time, particularly with your first!

Wuxiapian · 20/07/2013 14:36

I'm on my 3rd and still as nervous (until the 12 week scan, at least) as I was with the 1st.

Although, this pregnancy is definitely hitting me harder! I feel ill - all over - and have periods through the day where I'm fit for nothing.

impatientlywaiting · 20/07/2013 14:51

Thanks for the welcome everyone. It really is such an exciting time, but also a bit scary.

Now I have my BFP I was considering changing my name to something else, but I'm actually pretty impatient to have my midwife appointment and then first scan so it's still relevant.

My husband is at work today so I've indulged myself by watching 2 episodes of one born every minute. I never watched an episode the whole way through pre BFP, but now I can't get enough.

AndieDisestablishment · 20/07/2013 15:35

Glad I'm not the only one that's a multip but also freaking out as if this is the first. I have no symptoms except sore boobs this time whereas with DS and DD I had nausea both times. I am incredibly tired though but working long shifts and having two toddlers is probably contributing to that.

Impatient You have an apt name for the whole of pregnancy, keep it. Grin Congrats too. Oh and, I work in maternity and am still obsessed with OBEM.

MummyPig24 · 20/07/2013 16:52

Good news soured. Hope everyone is feeling good today.

We went to the zoo which was great. Really nice to spend a few hours just having fun with the family, also it wasn't hot so we weren't walking about sweating. Saw a baby rhino, baby meerkats and ostriches having sex so it was pretty eventful!!

Stil have some brown blood in discharge but still no pain or anything. I need to be taking it easier than I am but it's hard when there is things to be done. Dh is firing up the BBQ later so we can have another al fresco meal!

JK10 · 20/07/2013 17:28

Pleased for u soured!

Been a busy day today and am now exhausted! Thing I'm being a little short tempered with the kids when I'm usually quite chilled out! I could sleep for a week!! I'm also enjoying it being cooler today! Just to have a little break from the heat!

TWinklyLittleStar · 20/07/2013 18:20

Another exhausted one here. I travelled a long way to see some friends and their twins, we took a walk to the park and played in the playground, now I'm on my way home and I can barely keep my eyes open.

I'm starting to very slightly feel, for a few brief moments at a time, that this might actually work and I could possibly have a baby in 7/8months time. Wow.

JBrd · 20/07/2013 18:28

Another exhausted one here. DS got up at 6am today, and although I had the best intentions of taking a long nap today, I never got a chance. I'm so tired I feel ill Confused

On the positive side, the MW just called, and I now have my booking in appointment on the 1 August, yay!

MTBMummy · 20/07/2013 18:38

Great news soured

Can I join the exhausted club? No idea how I'm going to cope with work next week. Thankfully DP was lovely and took DD out to a party this afternoon and I had a nap (for 2 hours) feeling marginally human, but coil happily go back to bed now.

MTBMummy · 20/07/2013 18:38

Coil??? Wtf? Could

HotCrossPun · 20/07/2013 19:19

Has anybody else had a bit of a tear-fest for no good reason?

Me and DP were watching a film with Matt Damon in it where he buys a zoo. One of the tigers died, and I couldn't stop crying for nearly 15 minutes.

I knew I was being ridiculous, so I was kind of laughing and howling at the same time. Confused

Poor DP was trying to comfort me, but I could tell he was thinking - oooh jeez, is she going insane?! Grin

TWinklyLittleStar · 20/07/2013 19:22

HotCross I bought a pair of shorts yesterday and had to go up a size. I know I haven't gained any weight yet, I was wearing an old and fairly small skirt I felt good about fitting in to. But when I had to get the next size of shorts up I cried, no, I fucking WAILED in that shop and for 10 solid minutes. I literally could not stop myself. At least you were in the privacy of your own home!

HotCrossPun · 20/07/2013 19:41

Ok Twinkly you definitely win in the sobbing stakes Grin

It was the sheer strength of it that shocked me. No demure Cheryl Cole tear trickling down one cheek, twas proper snotty racking sobs!

We are officially the cry babies of the boat. Blush

Thaleia · 20/07/2013 19:42

Who is London based? Had my first one at C&W and although the cs was fine, the after care was truly shit. Other option was St. George.

Congrats to all your good scan results, I haven't been to the GP yet, I just want to wait till its a buy more real!

MummyPig24 · 20/07/2013 20:10

A llama died on tv the other day and I bawled my eyes out!

My tummy has popped out today, there's going to be a lot of sucking in going on!

firsttimekat · 20/07/2013 20:28

I'm London based, DH was born at st George's! we've opted for st. hellier, tbh hadn't thought I'd have to chose this early but dr wanted to know where I wanted to go for scan and thats the closest.

PiratesMam · 20/07/2013 21:04

I'm struggling to suck in the belly too - can't see how I'll not breathe for the next 5 weeks!!!

I'm in S London and will have this one at King's, same as the other two. No complaints about my previous experiences there.

PiratesMam · 20/07/2013 21:05

Thaleia St Thomas's is meant to be good?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 20/07/2013 21:17

We're in a Cambridgeshire village so I'll be using The Rosie at Addenbrookes. They've just opened the newly refurbished area which is supposed to be very good.

LyraSilvertongue · 20/07/2013 21:21

Anyone else got uneven boobs? Mine are both much bigger than usual but one is bigger than the other.

MummyPig24 · 20/07/2013 21:23

I tend to wear a lot of empire line tops and dresses anyway as they suit my shape but even in one today it's pretty obvious. Hope I'm just having a bloated day!

I'm hoping to have this little one at a very tiny hospital, only 6 beds.

LyraSilvertongue · 20/07/2013 21:34

Ds2 was born at St Thomas's. No complaints. Ds1 was a Guys and they had big old-fashioned wards then so not the greatest experience. This one will be born at Kingston.

JBrd · 20/07/2013 22:32

Oooh, Frankel, we're in the same area! I'll be going to the Rosie, too, apparently, the new unit is fab Smile
