Stats Thread

Thread 2 for all us lovely chatterboxes! Grin

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 12:11

lol - she isn't, we are just very close Smile There is only 1 year and 3 weeks between us, so grew up together, did everything together, had all the same friends etc and we are more like best friends really Smile

She is just excited for me Grin

I was absolutely desperate to tell her when I got my BFP but hubby wouldn't let me and said we have to wait until after the scan Sad. She was the only person I wanted to tell and I put across a strong argument for it but Hubby was having none of it.

I absolutely can't wait to tell her once the scan shows everything is ok, she will be over the moon!!!

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 12:11

I think it might take until at least the 12 week scan before I even consider that I'm having a baby.

LyraSilvertongue · 24/07/2013 12:17

Lol mummypig. I get this all the time. My brain is in denial despite the evidence Grin

LyraSilvertongue · 24/07/2013 12:18

Ugh, triple post. I'm on a train with intermittent service.

charley33 · 24/07/2013 12:29

Defo off sex at the mo - most unusual for me - really hoping this changes in the next cple of weeks!!

Also nearly cried at the Kate/Wills/Baby hospital exit last night - was most relieved to get to Eastenders without shedding a tear!!

At my mums today - She has just offered me pate and bread - I've never even liked pate? Wondering if she is wondering if I am preggers and it was a test? Good job my early scan is on Monday!!

rescoonetwothree · 24/07/2013 12:34

writer I'm the same, but i drink maybe once every 6 months - one of those times happened to be 3 days before bfp... OBVIOUSLY haha

is anyone else more nosy / interested than they should be for locations to go on the stats thread? what has my life become.

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 12:35

Did she get suspicious when you turned it down???

I also felt tearful watching the hospital exit of Kate, Wills and Baby Smile

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 12:38

Oh yeah grey, I'd be really interested to know if anyone is near me. But I'm cautious of saying where I am incase I out myself. It's a small town...

rescoonetwothree · 24/07/2013 12:43

fox you could always do local area - could say the nearest city / general area, like instead of 'small town name' put bristol or southwest etc!

rescoonetwothree · 24/07/2013 12:44

p.s. i really hope you're not from around bristol/southwest now, or i will look like an insane stalker...

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 12:46

Ha! It's ok, I'm not Grin

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 13:01

Fox if it helps - I put Reading as it's my nearest town, no way would I give out my village name as it would out my completely

PS - glad you decided to unlurk and join in Grin

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 13:03

Grey - I'm looking for suggestions on how to display the locations, do we want a map with pins or just another chart?

The Stats are becoming so addictive, I found myself getting really frustrated when I was out at a meeting all day yesterday and couldn't update them :-)

rescoonetwothree · 24/07/2013 13:17

I reckon a map would be best - im with you on that - i work with spreadsheets etc all day haha!

What's your job mtb if it doesn't out you? Sorry if you've already said before!

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 13:26

Grey - I'm hoping those who would identify me, wouldn't be lurking on the March Bus Grin

I work in IT Security - but one of my options at uni was Statistics

babybear9 · 24/07/2013 13:46

anyone else jsut too excited and told far too many people?!! i told my sis day after BFP test and our parents 2wks later. i just figured that i'll tell the folk who we'd have told if anything awful happens. just would rather have that conversation with them knowing that suddenly have to tell them without them having had the news i was preggers.

so looking forward to being able to tell work after scan. i was poached from another company to head up a team. started 1 week after BFP and now i've already had to miss an evening event, had a day off sick as i couldnt stop throwing up and had to leave 2 meetings to go throw up!! feel like everyone is wondering why on earth they bothered with me!

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 13:57

Wow, a map with pins would be well good. Can you do that??

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 13:57

My recreational graph making doesn't go much beyond the line graph Grin I'm an amateur compared!

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 14:00

My village has about 12 people in it. On the upside, I don't think any of them can use the internet.

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 14:05

LOL Fox Sounds a bit like my village a pub and a post box Grin

Right now to get to work on this map - not done one before but it should be easy enough

As an aside if anyone wants to add their location to the map but not have it tied to your mn account, if you PM me, I'll add it to the map, but keep it off the stats list and keep the map anonymised

FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 14:07

Ooh, anonymised.

My village doesn't even have a pub. I wish we had a pub! You have to walk for an hour to get to the pub (or drive 5 minutes). We have a church. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with that though.

PramelaAftersun · 24/07/2013 14:26

I used to be engaged to a man with a high sex drive. It just felt like he was masturbating inside me Hmm I won't let th'usband anywhere near my love tunnel so we're pretty much resigned to tit wanks and blowjobs. I can't even allow DH to reciprocate the oral stuff thanks to the pessary gunk dribbling out of my vadge three times-a-day Sad

MTB, your slavish delight in lists and stats cracks me up and freaks me out in equal measure Grin I live Oop North so can you just stick a pin anywhere it's raining and where everyone talks like uneducable morons? Sad

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 14:28

It's a pity that the communion wine is alcohol free, that may make it more attractive Grin

We're lucky it's a 20 minute walk to the next village which has shops, hairdressers, post office etc so it's very quiet without all the inconvenience

MTBMummy · 24/07/2013 14:31

Oh Pram... will you be on the pessaries all the way through?

TBH - with DD1 I think we had sex all of 5 times, I just found it too uncomfortable

I have been a math geek my entire life - [whispers] I even used to go to math camp as a kid - and I loved it Blush
