Hia. 32 weeks with twins and booked for induction on 1 November so don't know whether to go for Nov or Oct. A little bird told me there are some other twin mothers on this thread. How are you all doing?

angryangryyoungwoman · 28/09/2013 17:53

Hiya, can I join the facebook group please?

We do have another mummy having twins, pm Angus (who is cleverer than me) and she'll add you onto our FB group, you get instant messages back that way.
Congratulations!
Ps my due date is 1st Nov but I'm being induced on 18th Oct. they're a lovely group!

GreenGiant3 · 30/09/2013 13:54

Hi ladies! Can I join in Smile currently 35+1 and just had a call from the midwife, iron levels have dropped even more so and I'm definitely anaemicSad anyone else experiencing this? What could this mean for my labour?

Who has their hospital bags packed? I haven't BlushConfused need to get a move on!! Any thing I should take apart from the normal things?

Thanks x

mycatlikestwiglets · 30/09/2013 22:27

I'm anaemic too GreenGiant - my iron levels are about 9.8 despite being on iron tablets for the past 4 weeks. The midwife doesn't seem too concerned though - I need to ask at my next appt whether it has any implications for the birth (I'm 36 weeks). I read somewhere that low iron could mean no chance of giving birth in the MLU but hopefully that's not true!

mycatlikestwiglets · 30/09/2013 22:27

P.s. welcome to all the new people!

GreenGiant3 · 30/09/2013 23:28

Hi mycat- I heard that too, i read on dr google that it could also mean once having your baby midwives will have to monitor blood loss etc and could possibly lead to a transfusion, I'm not seeing my midwife until the middle of October so will be sure to get all the information I need, my iron was low and it just seems to have gotten lower despite my attempts at bringing it up through medication and diet I even bought spa tone and have x2 sachets a day with large fresh orange Sad hopefully everything will be ok! Pregnancy can be such a worry xx

Monique2013 · 02/10/2013 13:20

34 weeks, been put on bed rest for a few days I have an infection ( not sure what yet...urine was sent for test) so I am on antibiotics....still to pack my hospital bag, I'm beginning to panic now.

mycatlikestwiglets · 02/10/2013 14:58

Sorry to hear that Monique - try not to worry though, you should still have plenty of time to get your bag packed. I'm over 36 weeks and haven't done mine yet although now that I'm on maternity leave I'm starting to get myself organised at last!

Monique2013 · 02/10/2013 17:19

Have no idea what to pack, don't want to pack too little and at the same time don't want to pack too much...will try and find a list online.

KirjavaTheCorpse · 03/10/2013 08:58

I still haven't packed mine. I really need to get a bloody move on! 35+4!

It still feels like I have ages left when I really don't, arrggghh.

mycatlikestwiglets · 03/10/2013 10:15

This is my 2nd DC and I still don't know what to pack! I'm sure I had far too much last time though. Don't forget the snacks for during/after labour! I had Pringles for breakfast the morning after DS was born Grin

Blondie276 · 05/10/2013 15:37

Hi all! Wondered if I could join too please ( only just found this thread !) am 32 weeks and due end nov with my first. Not a clue what in doing so looking for all support and hand holding ;) will pm my details for fb group !

getoffthecoffeetable · 06/10/2013 01:28

I'm feeling enormous, bored of being awake most of the night because of heartburn, backache and baby's head pushing on my foofoo like he's practising coming out! 36 weeks now, let the countdown commence!
Sorry for the whinge, off for an early morning snack now!

MotherOfCleo · 06/10/2013 09:50

Hi ladies, sorry Im a bit late to the party, I was on the early threads but then fell off so to speak.

Im 35+3 weeks with baby number1. Due 7th Nov, although tbh Im ready to evict him now. Grin

I have pgp which is making sleeping tough. Only have 9 days left at work though which makes everything seem better Wink
