Far too hot to eat much for me too. We've just being eating fruit all day and just going to have quiche and salad for dinner.

My legs are sunburnt despite me lathering on the factor 30.They've only burned down one side with white patches. How the hell does that happen? It's not even likely that I could have missed bits with the cream because I put the stuff on about 6 times over the course of the afternoon.

GTbaby · 09/07/2013 18:45

Oh great. Mw measured me at 24wks I'm 28 weeks. I'm ok with this specially as I read the thread yesterday, and 20wk 24wk scan both fine. At 25wks I was measuring ok. Mw told me heart beat is fine. Baby is prob in a bad position. But will send me for a scan.

Came home and told dh, DH is spewing as he doesn't feel we should wait for a scan date to come through the post. As , if something is wrong then obviously time is important.
So he is on phone now complaining.

Give me strength.

My MW didn't measure me, just felt my tummy and said it was in the right position for 24 weeks. Doesn't seem very accurate at all.

I had my physio appointment at the hospital today. It is pelvic girdle pain. The physio mainly just told me things I had already read like no twisting, standing on one leg, keep legs together etc. She reccomended sitting on a gym ball or coccyx cushion and not sitting, standing or waking for more than half an hour at a time. Hmm Also that I need to learn to relax more.

Got a couple of tubigrips that cover my whole bump and half way down my thighs. I am sweating in it now. Also she did a deep tissue massage on a particularly tight bit of my hip and showed me some ways to get up and down/sleep and gave me a couple of sheets with stretches which are things I did at Pilates.

Someone was asking recently, she reccomended ice for my coccyx and a heat pack for my hip and back.

I dont have to go back for any more appointments unless it gets very bad. I wasn't too sore when I went so probably had a wider range of movement than I sometimes do. Now after a day at work I an hurting a lot and can hardly move my left leg out or up at all. I am not sure that would have made a difference but annoying that things often seem to be not too bad when you are at the doctors!

Natalieand · 09/07/2013 19:21

orange I agree, sometimes u feel like your dying and by the time your appt comes around sometimes u can be pain free, or like when your children seem really really ill u get them an emergency docs appt and when your there they act like nothing is wrong with them lol. I hope the exercises help relieve your pain. Xx

I saw midwife in Monday at 26 weeks and she didn't measure me either she just felt my tummy and didn't even comment on it,

I no quite a few ppl that get patchy sun burn MoN no idea why it happens though

GT sometimes I wish my dh would be a little more pro active but 9 times out of 10 he's too scared to even ask his boss for an. Hour off to come to a scan with me even tho he works 5 mins away from a hospital

Natalieand · 09/07/2013 19:26

Sorry one other question to those who have been to lego-land, is there much to eat there or do I need to take a picnic? And do I need to take dd's swimming stuff? X

claphammama · 09/07/2013 19:28

can they say at 28 weeks that the baby is in the wrong position? what do they mean by "wrong position"? they still move so much at this stage and can change positions very easily. I believed it was only after 32 weeks that it is a concern?

my 25 weeks appointment is tomorrow, it's with GP not MW - hope I will great someone decent and it will be less annoying than yours!

can't cook anything heavy today either, just got home and too hot... so making pasta with cherry tomatoes, garlic and basil. Simple and no cooking really, just a bit of chopping and seasoning. The bottle of chilled white wine was staring at me when I opened the fridge... torture

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/07/2013 19:37

I've just had a slice of watermelon and a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes for my dinner as DH is out and I am too hot and tired to make a proper dinner just for me.

JellyCurls · 09/07/2013 19:44

orange I went to a private Physio last night about my coccyx pain. My left sacral ligament had seized pulling my coccyx forward and sideways toward my left hip and also pulling my pelvis back towards left hip. 1hr of physical abuse gentle manipulation later and I am again pain free Smile.

Still waiting on maternity Physio to contact me but I refuse to take a tubi grip again, caused me more pain than my pelvis last time.

PseudoBadger · 09/07/2013 19:51

We are having salad with a boiled egg, ham and smoked mackerel, and garlic bread.

I got a bit upset today. I'm doing a first aid course and for some reason the trainer went off remit (on a first aid at work course) and showed us a video about meningitis in children. It was an interview with a mother whose 2 year old died, very graphic in terms of how the illness progressed (she was saying what her poor little girl was saying as she got so ill) and it was all stuff I could imagine DS saying. It was horrible :(

JethroTull · 09/07/2013 19:53

Another one that's too hot to eat. I've had cornflakes. Husband is out at running club. I feel like a whale.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 09/07/2013 19:56

Another pasta dinner here, crab linguine, am I even supposed to eat crab?! It was delicious and requires practically no cooking.
Bump is very active today lots of visible movements. Perhaps it likes the heat!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/07/2013 20:16

That's interesting jelly. Physio wasn't sure what was causing my bruised feeling coccyx, doesn't necessarily link with the other hip and back pain. I think I would go to a private physio for some treatment if it got bad for a longer time. I seem to have a couple of bad days, them some better days and there is usually something I have done to make it worse, so I should probably avoid doing silly things!

I don't think I will wear the tubigrip all day on hot days but will try to give it a go for a few days to see if it makes any difference.

roxvox · 09/07/2013 20:16

I've got my 28 week MW appointment on Thursday. I am intrigued now as to what she'll say about my bump measurement. She's never measured it before, just had a feel of my tummy and said it felt right. I don't think anything has changed since then (that I can tell from feel my stomach) so I wonder if this time she'll actually measure!

My DH is away too, so I bought a low fat ready meal from the new Tesco finest 'fresh' range. Tastes ok, but I glugged 2 pints of juice just prior to eating it and can't really be bothered to eat it.

JellyCurls · 09/07/2013 20:40

I have my 28 wk appointment tomorrow and dd is excited to be coming along to hear babies heartbeat, will let you know how we get on with measuring bump and stuff

GTbaby · 09/07/2013 21:30

Nat- DH (also known as FUckingH) was feeling guilty I think. He came bk from work and had a nap. Then when time to leave he couldn't be bothered to get up so I went alone, After some yelling.

He made me some chicken curry noddles for my dinner tho. And there is a fresh cream donut waiting for my dessert.

natalie definitely take swimming gear to legoland - the duplo area has a great water splash pool for your dd (and for you if you overheat!).

I had my 28w app today and my mw didn't bother measuring - she hasn't measured me at all throughout the pregnancy and didn't last time either. I think I was measuring small last time and big this time and I think she doesn't use the tape measure as she doesn't want to worry me unduly. She did have a feel of my belly and everything seemed ok.
Had my gtt - slightly different to others. Had lucozade 45 mins before my app and then had blood taken. Had the full fasting gtt last time as my dad was diabetic but they've stopped that now.

Had a nice couple of hours at the beach today then relaxing at home this afternoon. Have been having thoughts of potty training dd but she poo'd in her swimsuit and wee'd in her bedroom today so will hold off a bit longer!

Flyer747 · 09/07/2013 22:43

I have just finished for the day, having packed both my case and DP's case and been into town to get currency, sun cream etc I'm totally bushed....I detest packing ( although I'm super fast and the packing expert) and usually when holidays roll around I don't get that excited because I used to go away every week, however I'm so excited about stepping on a plane tomorrow, it's been 5 long months without been inside a metal tube and I miss it so much, a plane nerd I obviously am....happy days Grin

claphammama · 09/07/2013 22:52

Have an amazing holiday and enjoy your flight plane nerd Grin When are you back? Xxx

Smitten1981 · 09/07/2013 22:54

Flyer - I'm jealous of your enjoyment of planes. I break out into a cold sweat at the thought of getting on one.

My holidays are done now so I'm relieved not to have to worry about flying again until next year or possibly the year after. Wish I could enjoy flying.

Hope you have a lovely break!

Natalieand · 09/07/2013 23:16

Have a lovely break flyer I'm neither keen or scared of flying I just do it when I go on holiday I certainly wouldn't do it for fun

My eyes r stinging I'm tired but bump is giving me a serious kicking especially down low he's keeping me awake! Maybe he doesn't want me to go to legoland lol

claphammama · 09/07/2013 23:17

and flyer make sure you listen to the security announcement on the plane! it's very important "even if you've heard it many times before" and "every plane is slightly different" Grin Grin

Flyer747 · 09/07/2013 23:35

Clapham I'm away for just a week. And as sad as it may sound I do watch the safety demonstration, I also watch the crew and observe, total saddo here!!! I often find myself comparing how they do things to how I do them, and usually I cannot believe how terribly rude and stuck up alot of cabin crew are, it amazes me because I'm so nice to passengers (most of the time anyway Grin)

GTbaby · 10/07/2013 04:40

Argh. Woke 40mintues ago and can't get bk to sleep.
And now it's getting light outside :( sucks.

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/07/2013 05:54

I also woke up wide awake and panicking it was the middle of the day and I overslept for work because of how bright it is. Oops I woke DH too!

JellyCurls · 10/07/2013 05:57

GT I can sympathise, woke just after 3 for a visit to loo, was still awake at 4.30 and alarm off at 5am for work. DH better not moan tonight about being more tired than me or even worse fall asleep on sofa at kids supper & bedtime like he normally does.

Right off mn and away to work (late again) I go.
