oh, thank you flyer!! :-) X

yes, 38 today... still not quite sure how it's happened to me! still feel about 25 but never mind. had a lovely dinner out last night and breakfast in bed this morning, so definitely spoilt! going to Clapham Common later for their annual fete - they will have lots of stuff and will be showing Murray on big screens. So happy the weather is so gorgeous!

thinking about you pink lady. hope all goes well at the hospital. x

Soupqueen · 07/07/2013 09:44

Happy birthday clapham!

thethreeblondies · 07/07/2013 10:19

Sounds like you have a lovely day planned Clapham Happy Birthday Thanks I'll be 33 in sept and I still feel 20!

I'm off to see Olly Murs later! Going with my mum, sis and brothers girlfriend, it's in the grounds of Powderham csstle near Exeter, I enjoy a bit of cheesy pop so should be good! We went there and saw Will Young 9 years ago when I was pg with DD1! Just trying to decide what of my limited wardrobe to wear to keep cool, got slightly pink shoulders yesterday, oops, and it is limiting people to 1 small bottle of water each (hmmmm we will see if they dare take fluids off a pregnant lady Wink )

Hope everyone else has a lovely day whatever you have planned xx

cazboldy · 07/07/2013 10:39

Shirehobbit · 07/07/2013 10:58

Happy Birthday Clapham Smile

Hope all goes well with the tests, pinkapple

I survived the hotel - not the best night's sleep in the world, but not the worst. Glad to be home and planning a lazy day in the sun.

It's weird; my Facebook feed is full of updates and messages from an ironman which loads of my friends are doing today and that I've done, or mashalled at, for the last few years. And yet, that now seems like a whole lifetime ago.

Flyer747 · 07/07/2013 11:00

I know what you mean about still feeling young clapham, I'm 35 next birthday and feel no different than when I was 21, I just look older unfortunately. Grin Enjoy clapham common and the tennis. Happy Sunday everyone I'm in work Hmm

pinkbuttons · 07/07/2013 11:17

Happy Birthday clapham! sounds like a fab day
threeblondies I went to see olly murs at the start of the year and he was brilliant so.hope you have a great time. they'll have to give out free water if they take it away from you! Far too hot to be limiting fluids.

Umlauf · 07/07/2013 11:22

Eek the thread has dropped off my "threads I'm on" so frantically clawing my way back in.

Happy Birthday clapham what a gorgeous day for it!!!!

Its soooo hot here I want to go to the beach but I still don't have swimwear! The Spanish ladies are topless but they are very neat, I think I'd knock out a few children if I did the same!!

Hope you're all having a lovely wochenende.

Sanjifair · 07/07/2013 11:47

Happy birthday cla

Sanjifair · 07/07/2013 11:55

Oops claphammamma, I meant!

Sanjifair · 07/07/2013 11:59

Shire, I always think its weird when I get all the race updates and especially marathon results from friends when I am pregnant. You feel so out of the loop! Like its a different world. On that note, I've stopped running now, 26 weeks today and its just too hot. Stopped at 27 last time so not so different. Still planning on going out for brisk walks and joining a yoga course.

TheFalconsmistress · 07/07/2013 12:47

Happy birthday clapham :)

Is anyone else having bump pain the skin hurts at night so much it wake me up! I am getting nerve twinges too? It calms when i move at least. I am also getting the braxton hicks too now but I suppose there is only 12 weeks max till she is here.

ananikifo · 07/07/2013 14:01

Thinking of you pink lady. I hope it all turns out to benign inn to worry about.

Happy birthday clapham!

I'm now sitting in a garage. Our car desperately needed a new tire, which has turned into two new tires, and we've been advised we probably need new wheel bearings and god knows what else. Just what we need as we juggle moving and a house deposit and a rental deposit and baby costs. Confused Then DH tries to tell me we'd have fewer of these costs with a new car, as though a) we could afford a new car and b) newer cars don't need new tires periodically.

ananikifo · 07/07/2013 14:02

So sorry I mean I hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/07/2013 18:24

Happy birthday Clapham.

Thinking of cookie. Flowers

Back from my mums, a very long sweaty journey home along the M40 listening to the tennis.

PseudoBadger · 07/07/2013 19:26

Hope everyone is ok, thinking of Cookie and Pink Lady.
Happy birthday Clapham!
There's nothing like a bit of heat to make me feel incredibly fat :(

Iheartcrunchiebars · 07/07/2013 19:43

Happy birthday clapham. I hope you have been spoiled rotten.

I have eaten so much BBQ food today. I stopped eating 5 hours ago and am still chocka! How's everyone's name choosing going? I've got my heart set on a boys name but my sister mentioned she wants it (and she said it publicly first) so I'm gutted about that. I thought we had a girls name we both agreed on but dh has now changed his mind, back to the drawing board!

chickieno1 · 07/07/2013 20:03

Happy birthday clapham! Hope you've enjoyed the sunshine!

Hope everything's ok 34pink.

Hope the ds s with asthma/bronchitis/pneumonia are doing ok. It's worrying when your kids are sick. Good you're being supported looking after them yourselves as much as possible.

Wanted to say hi ti MON as have been thinking about you. Hope you're feeling better about tetralogy of Fallot diagnosis. Good you've been to see cardiologist etc. If you need information that isn't scary google contact the British heart foundation. They will send you info and might have some other parents to talk to who've gone through the same thing. Of course that's if you think that would help. Also the specialist nurse/midwife should have written info for you? Hope you and dp are holding up ok.

After catching up on this thread and end of last one can't remember what I wanted to say!!!

Hope the PGP sufferers are ok. My right hip is starting to hurt boo. Did a lot of walking yesterday and suffering a bit today.

25 + 4 today!

Hope everyone enjoying nice UK weather. Drink loads of fluids to keep those pesky BH contractions away

Wickedgirl · 07/07/2013 20:16

Happy birthday clapham......I hope you've had a lovely day

I hope that everyone who is poorly or has a poorly child feels better soon. There is nothing worse that looking after poorly children. I have said to my own children "I wish I could take away all of your pain/illness" at least a million times. It's the worst feeling in the world.

I was referred for physio almost a month ago and still haven't received an appointment. The SPD is so painful.

MotherOfNations · 07/07/2013 20:42

A lovely day in Glasgow today for a change. I've spent the whole day in the garden and have eaten my own body wright in barbequed halloumi, chicken breast and peppers. I had a couple of glasses of low alcohol wine and because I've not had a drink in so long I feel quite tipsy.

I hope you've had a lovely birthday Clapham

I'm feeling really positive chickie The hospital gave me a book on heart defects but it only has a small section on Tretalogy of Fallot. I've spoken to a woman who's exoecting a baby with the condition on another parenting site who is a few weeks ahead of me and we've added eachother on facebook. I've also joined a couple of fb support groups. It does help knowing I can speak to someone who is dealing with it too.

JellyCurls · 07/07/2013 21:04

What a gorgeous day today dreaded holiday clothes shopping this morning but picked up some nice maxi dresses in primark that make me look pregnant and not fat! Highlight of today has to be ds managing all pees in potty not so good when he tipped it over himself but I think we might be getting there Smile

roxvox · 07/07/2013 21:33

Happy birthday clapham!

I hope you've all had lovely days.

Quick question - I did quite a lot of stuff yesterday (was active pretty much all day), and today baby seems to be kicking/moving about less than I have become used to. Heshe is definitely still giving the occasional kick or moving a bit, but usually heshe is very active first thing, and also in the evenings when I relax on the sofa, but the movements and kicks seem short lived (I.e just one kick rather than a series of them). Have tried orange juice and cold drinks to get a reaction, which hasn't worked, but to be honest it didn't really before either. Question is, if I can still feel him/her moving and kicking then should I be worried?

chickieno1 · 07/07/2013 21:34

Jelly curls also potty training ds here! He did all wees in potty yesterday and a poo in potty this am so really pleased. Had an accident earlier though so not in the clear yet. He goes to preschool so not sure what we ll do re nappies tomorrow. I want to leave them off but dh thinks he ll be too upset if he has accidents in front of bigger kids??? Do you have any thoughts/experience with this??

Good you've got support MON

ananikifo · 07/07/2013 21:40

I've spent the last hour on gum tree. It seems much better than eBay for bulkier items that need pickup and stuff seems so cheap! I think I'll end up using it more for big toys like baby gyms, and for big, nonessential but appealing items like bumbo seats. I don't know why there are so many bumbos on gum tree! I've gotten a bit fed up of used items on eBay. People charge way too much for postage and items end up not much cheaper than the new version.

ananikifo · 07/07/2013 21:45

Roxvox: phone the midwife if you're worried and they'll tell you if you should come in or not. I was encouraged to phone in if I was ever worried about a change in baby's pattern of movement.

I will say though that I have differences in movement from day to day, ie some days baby seems to be making big movements for extended periods, other days its more like isolated kicks. Cold drinks etc seem only to illicit individual kicks in my baby.
