So sorry to hear the bad news. Thinking of you both. Thanks

I'm the same with the bloating. I weighed myself this morning expecting to be 10 lbs heavier due to my expanding tummy but I haven't put on any weight at all so I've got no idea why its no longer flat. Probably weak tummy muscles and bloat. Joy.
Hope everyone is coping ok in the heat.

vix206 · 09/07/2013 14:22

Champagne they don't really give you any results unless there's something abnormal. They'll have them back for your next appt so you can ask though.

So sorry to read about the bad news, lots of sympathy and virtual hugs from me. Hmm

tinypolkadot · 09/07/2013 14:31

I hope so too misskatamari I'm too scared to say anything at the minute!

I'm not sure Champagne maybe that's a nicer angle to consider, she's been a lot nicer to me today actually. She's one of those people who is very changeable! Confused she also has no kids, and is past the age of having them, so I don't think she's very sympathetic in that regard. I had to fill in a return to work form for HR, so I wasn't sure if she was trying to get info that way. I also don't think anyone else fills them in much as our department is pretty relaxed, and I've never had to before so I was a bit miffed!

ldt87 · 09/07/2013 15:29

That's rubbish tiny, hopefully when you tell her she will be more supportive, children or not.

My midwife told me if anything is wrong with my bloods she'll call, if not she'll see me at 16 weeks. My arms stillI in a mess from having them done.

Tiny i'm glad she's been a bit nicer to you today. She probably is trying to find out - people are so nosey when you're off. I had a lady from work messaging me the other day all "how are you feeling" - apparently she's been speculating that i'm pregnant so i'm just avoiding replying as if she knows then it will be gossip time! (To be fair I am probably just as bad when its other people off - nosey nosey nosey!)

Blood type is why i'm so eager for results too champagne - I've always wanted to know and have never found out!

Awww we've just had our early scan too and it was amazing! Baby looks healthy and we heard its heart beat and could see the heart beating. It was so active too and we could see it waving and kicking its little legs. DH was so shocked as he was all "there's no point booking it it will just be a blob". I just kept crying and smiling and he was all misty eyed. Got a fair few piccies too which is lovely. I am so relieved to see things are okay and it was well worth the money to have that peace of mind. I just can't believe that there's a tiny little baby moving around inside me! Crazy stuff!

It makes feeling so rotten feel worthwhile now. This heat is killing me though - feel so sick this afternoon and headachey and i'm sure its because its so hot!

Hope you're all fairing a bit better than me in it!

Ooooh I was dated at 10 weeks based on baby length as opposed to 9+4 so its not much difference (but hopefully three days closer to feeling better... Smile) x

tinypolkadot · 09/07/2013 18:06

I wrote A&E visit and follow up hospital appointment. I was waiting for her to say I needed to explain more, but it seems that was enough! Yeah, she's probably just trying to find out. We've got a 1:1 on Thursday so will maybe tell her then...

Feb news about your scan misskatamari made me a bit teary reading about it! Smile

SamL88 · 09/07/2013 19:35

I can't wait for the scan!! Only 3 weeks to go but I just want to know everything is ok (obviously) and that there is actually a baby in there!! I'm hoping the scan will tie in with feeling better; 4 and a half weeks of constant nausea is starting to get a tad tedious (putting in politely).
Currently say in my favourite noodle bar in Oxford and don't want anything on the menu but I'm starving! Mainly only here to get into air con!!

littlestgirlguide · 09/07/2013 19:54

I am so envious of anyone with air con after spending another day in my 32 degree office! And on my birthday, too!

Not heard anything yet about the rebooked scan I was promised on Sunday. Should I phone them, or wait a bit longer?

Thisisfreakingmeout · 09/07/2013 20:12

Sorry for the sad news today ladies. Give yourselves the time and space you need .

MW appointment in two days cannot come soon enough so I can get my scan booked in. I'm getting impatient now.

I am also worried that my little pot belly is protruding out of my work clothes! The sooner I can be honest the better.

10 today

laura0007 · 09/07/2013 20:46

Sorry to hear all the sad news Sad hope you can both be strong.

My tummy feels huge. My friends say there is nothing there but to me I feel 6 months pregnant!
Have my scan on Thursday so will find out if there's more than one to cause the fatness... Or if I've just dreamt the whole thing and I've just been over indulging on carbs!

10+2

Zazou1 · 09/07/2013 22:04

Catching up on this thread.... Have been so sickly these last few weeks, have felt like death! Dare I say it, starting to feel better but obv now am worried there's something wrong!

Exhaustion still going strong though...

So sorry to hear all the sad news Sad

Had MW appt and have scan on 19th-cannot wait Smile my stomach is absolutely huge and I'm sure people at work suspect but don't want to say anything before scan...hopefully they just think I'm a pig and been eating too much Smile

10+2

littlestgirlguide · 09/07/2013 22:09

Hugs to those with sad news- look after yourself and be kind to yourselves.

Pregnancy isn't glamorous is it- just vomited a bit too close to the toilet and the force of the vomit made a big "splash back" when it hit the water and I ended up with vomit splattered on my face. I was wiping vomit from my glasses while my younger sister looked on horrified!

AhoyMcCoy · 09/07/2013 23:09

Oh- and Happy Birthday littlestgirlguide!!

Ruggle · 10/07/2013 01:06

So today, after my morninng barf, I suddenly had a mad burst of energy and took a pair of loppers and chopped down lots of overgrowing hedges and trees in my garden...whilst topping up my vit D....and after that I had the opening night of an opera I am singing in...which was 3 hours long and very hot (but a great success) ...and now I'm quite tired but feeling great! Keeping busy seems to help me....but I hope all this exertion isn't bad for the bub. I do a brisk 30 min walk most days too, which also seems to help with keeping nausea at bay. It just seems really bad first thing in the morning. I can't function until I have thrown up!

Bearfrills · 10/07/2013 07:45

If you qere active before ruggle then you should be fine as its birnal for you so your body is used to it. I walk loads, easily a minimum of three miles on a quiet day (its half a mile just to the local shop and back) plus running around with the DCs, work (which also involves lots of walking) and I was told thats fine as its usual for me.

Was chatting to my manager the other day and she asked how old my eldest is, she looked a bit horrified when I said three and my youngest is one. I'll have three under five by the time this one comes as DS will be 4yo and DD 2yo, I didnt realise this was unusual?

At the MW this morning for my booking in, I've filled out my notes and I've got a bottle of pee. Heres hoping its not the MW I had with DD or I might be tempted to throw the pee at her.

Bearfrills · 10/07/2013 07:46

Birnal? Normal!

My phone is broken so I'm usibg DHs and I cant type on it Blush

Ruggle I wasn't quite a gym bunny (far too plump for that!) but did work out with weights, cardio classes and yoga, and after a brilliant, long conversation with a personal trainer, we worked out what can be done safely and what can't. For this trimester, most activity is fine, unless you were completely sedentary beforehand. No horse-riding, skiing, impact sports or deep sea diving, but apart from that normal activity is fine. So long as you can breathe/hold a conversation, not exert yourself to gasping (deprives foetus of oxygen) and don't feel faint/dizzy you're good to go, so make the most of that energy! I'm not really weight-training atm, because I'm so tired all the time, but am walking as much as possible and have a great yoga instructor who is helpful, so am hoping I won't lose all my (tiny) gains by this time next year!

11 weeks today!
