Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ladybee · 04/07/2013 05:32

Well, I've had bad news today. My weekly scan showed that my baby grew the right amount this week (I'm 9+2) but the heart has stopped beating. I'm so upset, after getting this far and doing all the injections and other meds, I thought I was in with a good chance. Guess it goes to show how much of a miracle my 2 successful pregnancies were. I think this is probably the end of the road for me, no DC3 after all. Good luck ladies, hope your journeys are smooth and happy.

vix206 · 04/07/2013 07:38

Ladybee I'm so sorry to hear your news.

Champagne, I always have used FMU for all samples.

vix206 · 04/07/2013 07:41

Ruggle I'm also a vegetarian (as is DH and little DS) and midwives have always been extremely positive about it. I think as long as you aren't a 'chips and cheese' vegetarian (which you clearly aren't) and you eat a balanced and varied diet, you are absolutely every bit as healthy as a meat eater.

sunflowered · 04/07/2013 07:53

Thinking of you ladybee - so sorry to hear your news Flowers

SugarMiceInTheRain · 04/07/2013 08:41

Pops78 · 04/07/2013 09:07

So sorry to hear your news Ladybee, thinking of you.

I am still only 5+6 and def feeling the queasiness but recall it really hitting after 6 weeks last time. Tiny I so hear you on wind I am getting it bad at the mo. So paranoid at the mo of every little thing, don't know how much longer I can hold back on getting an early scan but we are off to Ireland on 26th to visit PIL's so if I get there then best to do it close to then as I bet we can't hide it from them. I haven't told loads of people but have a few which is bitter sweet as they are happy full of congrats but when I explain how early I am understandably more reserved about it. The hardest person is my 3.4 yr dd who constantly goes on about wanting me to have a baby in my tummy, its so cute and I just want to say 'I do' but know its too early to risk with her.

LovesToBake · 04/07/2013 10:20

Bearfrills thanks so much for that calculator link - it pushes me forward by two days because of my shorter than average cycles! That has made me very happy. Hoping the midwife at my booking in appointment will take that into account too.

So that makes me 7+0 today, very happy!

So sorry ladybee.

Do you have to use fmu for the samples or is it just preferred? Otherwise I'm going to have pee in a tube in my handbag all day at work before my scan at 3.50 next Thursday! Gross...

9+4

Bearfrills · 04/07/2013 14:14

I think it's whatever is most convenient. When I had DS and went onto consultant led care they liked the samples to be done fresh at the actual appointment, when you book in at the desk they gave you a cup, you peed, handed it in to the nurse and then waited to be called in.

Vix206, not chips'n'cheese....but more like cheese'n'cheese.... I used to live on pasta and pizza and cheese, but now it's cheese, salad, fruit...and an occasional bar of chocolate. I've just had cottage cheese, a bag of salad leaves, a tub of chargrilled artichoke (not sure that's healthy, chargrilled, dripping in oil and full of salt but it was very yum, and so far it has stayed down!)
Oh, and a punnet of raspberries.
I'm stuffed....

Urgh.... the constant low level nausea is getting me down. It never lets up. I try to still eat through it (though the past week it has been at least lunchtime before I get hungry enough to attempt to force something down.) For some reason today I fancied a McDonald's (my guilty pleasure) but when I ate it, it was disgusting. Got halfway through a cheeseburger before gagging :(
