Congrats Shelley!!!

SlouchingPanda · 27/06/2013 06:19

Congratulations Shelley!

Good luck for today, Photographer.

Sympathies to all those with sleeping trouble. Last night I couldn't get to sleep at all. Must have drifted off eventually as I've just woken up on the sofa all tangled up in my dressing gown and duvet with vague memories of dreaming I pushed out a baby which looked a bit like a dinosaur Hmm

Grannyapple · 27/06/2013 06:36

Yay...congrats shelley

Cheeseandbread · 27/06/2013 07:04

Congratulations Shelly! Hope you got skin to skin and were able to breast feed like you wanted. Does she have a name yet? I hope your DH got to be there too like you wanted.

All the tooth fairy talk is funny... I can't believe the iPad!! I used to get 20p, sometimes 50p then I think it went up to a pound for molars- I'm 30 this year.

Dinky I'm glad DS1 liked his induction even if he did have to wait to be picked up.

Icing sorry you are feeling sick at the moment. I hope you got some sleep in the end.

Good luck today photographer

Any news from NPK? Hope it went well yesterday.

I'm very impressed with myself as I only went for two wees last night! (Usually average four!) and I went back to sleep. Woohoo. I was bouncing on my ball and drank some raspberry tea- wonder if that helped?...

I find it strange that there is such a big window that we can have our babies in... I'm 37 weeks on sat so anytime in the next five weeks...I'm hoping sooner rather than later.

36+5

Cheeseandbread · 27/06/2013 07:06

Slouching I like the dinosaur baby Smile and your primarni post made me laugh too. Wish I had one near me!

CitizenOscar · 27/06/2013 07:20

Congrats Shelley!

IcingTheCake · 27/06/2013 08:03

Congratulations Shelley! How exciting, hope it all worked out okay in the end! Smile

slouching oh dear! What a strange dream Grin

cheese i was thinking that yesterday, anytime 5 weeks from Saturday i will have a baby, not could, WILL!! Haha scary thoughts Smile

Managed to get some sleep about half three last night, slept very lightly though and now the lovely bin men are keeping me awake by stopping outside my house to collect the bins Sad

36+5

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 08:09

Slouching - ROFL at your dream. T-Rex sounds like a good name option for your baby if a boy - maybe Steggie for a girl? Grin Have been up since just before 5 today but cant complain as got a good 6 hours solid sleep before then. Hurrah for Primarni clothing!

Cheese - I know, the window in which you can have a "term" baby is ridiculously huge isnt it?

Icing - hope you get some kip in today.

Evelyn - I think your inlaws are trying to be considerate rather than annoying. Anyway, enjoy the extra space you have without them staying there!

Woah shelley.8 pm you post and 8 hours later you've a daughter. that's incredible. So not the good nights sleep you hoped for but something far far better! CONGRATULATIONS

GeorgieWilson · 27/06/2013 08:50

Congratulations Shelley! Hope all is well. X

esme80 · 27/06/2013 09:07

Congratulations Shelley! Hope you are both doing well!

You know, in Sweden we dont really do the tooth fairy thing, obviously Ive been missing out! Need to let my mother know they owe me several Ipads!
Mw apptmt today, thats it. Going to take all my energy to manage that... DS getting very bored with me at the moment.

MightBeMad · 27/06/2013 09:29

Congratulations Shelley!!!!

SlouchingPanda · 27/06/2013 09:57

Loving the dinosaur name suggestions!

I can guarantee that next up won't be me, because the shop assistant in Wilkos told me there's no way I'd have my baby in the next two weeks as my bump is still so high... (yes, I really am splashing the cash hitting Primarni AND Wilkos in the same day!).

Looking forward to heading more from Shelley. Icing, hope you get the chance to nap... I'm heading back to bed now to hopefully buy back a few more hours.

Persuasion · 27/06/2013 10:26

Congratulations shelley that was quick work on someone's part! I'm looking forward to the story when you're ready. I hope you got the skin to skin that you wanted.

My insomnia seems to have settled now which is nice. I unfortunately have no idea what changed so can't make any suggestions for the rest of you. I'm still up 3 or 4 times a night for the loo though.

Slouching great dream. And good shopping! I find those sort of comments really irritating. I think I'm in the minority not minding being asked when I'm due or 'what is it (boy/girl) But I don't like anything commenting on how late or early it'll be our on my size.

icing sorry you feel sick. Hopefully it'll settle soon.

Sorry, I can't remember who else said what, I blame baby brain!

I have a new washing machine and it seems to work! This had produced much joy in the persuasion household! Otherwise I'm just powering along and not going into labour...

Persuasion · 27/06/2013 10:28

Oh goodness I really should read back before I post. Ignore any randomness please! My phone seems determined that I power rather than potter!

Beginningofthejourney · 27/06/2013 10:57

Wow congratulations shelley DD obviously thought it was causing you too much stress to 'plan' so just got on with it!Smile
slouching my friends were laughing at me 2 days before Theo arrived because my bump was so high and I could rest my arms on top of bump cos my boobs were in the way, I fact I don't think my bump dropped until just before everything started!

MrsMillions · 27/06/2013 11:12

Congrats Shelley, love how you told us xx

photographerlady · 27/06/2013 11:57

Well home from my driving test and I passed! Poor test guy asked me half way through when the baby is due and almost wimpered when I said any time now :)

What a bag of stress and nerves to shake off....never waiting til the end of my pregnancy for something like that again.

evelynj · 27/06/2013 12:03

Shelley-congrats, that's wonderful. Sweet little post too, made me weepy!

Persuasion, glad you're enjoying the washer! Think I have to get dh to move the tumble drier in the garage to be suitable for occasional use after lo arrives.

Tiler is hammering away so end of chaos is in sight, woo hoo. I'm sure in laws are trying to be sweet going to hotel, will just try to chill out a bit mo about everything as I seem to be thinking the worst of everything!

VinegarDrinker · 27/06/2013 12:09

photographer - hooray! Well done!

MightBeMad · 27/06/2013 12:14

Yey! Well done photographer!

TotallyEggFlipped · 27/06/2013 12:27

Congratulations photographer!

Glad to hear you've got a new washing machine sorted, Persuasion - I wouldn't fancy having a newborn & no washing machine.

SlouchingPanda · 27/06/2013 12:43

Hurray! Congratulations Photographer!

Beginning - so there's hope I might go into labour today? and thus not have to go to my annual progress review at work on Friday??

Persuasion glad to hear about your washing machine situation. I am still beside myself at having a fridge that (1) keeps things cold and (2) doesn't make a racket. I love it when things work Grin

Right, someone kick my pregnant arse into getting up off the sofa and actually doing something.

VinegarDrinker · 27/06/2013 12:57

Slouching you're not ARCP-ing this week? Bloody hell. And your ST2/3 one too? You are brave insane I would've just said (and have) "Sorry, on mat leave, see you in Jan".
