Ooh cross post! Congrats ohGod we've been wondering how you got on. Great news Grin

evelynj · 27/06/2013 19:29

Congrats ohgood! all these arrivals are making me impatient!

Slouching- I don't think even my arm would fit in a size 6/8 in non pregnancy!

Mightbemad-I'm overly concerned about stillbirth, downs syndrome and rare illnesses that have gone undetected. I feel like I can't talk about it much in RL. I keep worrying that my dh hasn't worried enough & family & friends are taking it for granted that everything will be ok. Hormones are all over the shop!

I

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 19:42

Cheek - we're going out for dinner tomorrow night (my lovely sister offered to babysit the boys) at the Dock Kitchen, which is over towards Portobello. Probably a 20 min walk from our place. Have also got DH a tin of chocolates (as tin is what 10 year anniversaries are apparently) and a 10 year old whisky. DS2 has wrapped up a train of his to give him Grin Have also lined up our nanny to babysit on Sunday night and will head out to see a movie somewhere.

Sunday - Bean isnt even engaged here so reckon I may be a good couple of weeks off labour. Hey ho. Someone has to even out all those early births on this thread.

Congratulations, OhGood!

Welcome tryitonforsize

DH is on his way back from Glasgow & baby is showing no signs of arriving before he gets back. Phew.

MrsRoss26 · 27/06/2013 20:11

Rubbish short post, but congratulations ohgood and shelley on your arrivals! I hope the names prove easy to agree on!

Welcome tryiton Smile

Today I managed to paint most of the baby's room, so feeling pretty good (my feet say otherwise). Only bits not painted are those even my dh can't reach as walls so high and we have to borrow a ladder. I hope everyone else is enjoying Wimbledon and the race to mat leave Grin

Thinkingof4 · 27/06/2013 20:51

Congratulations ohgood sounds dramatic!

tryiton welcome, is this your first baby?

totally that's great, you can uncross your legs again!

mrsross sounds like a busy day well done

dinky I'm quite Envy about your weekend, sounds lovely. We have decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway on Saturday night (curry obviously!) as it's a but tricky to get babysitter- mil would do it, but she is already on-call for when I go into labour so I don't want to ask her for another favour so close to that!

Back home from school disco, ds1 was trying to dance to gangam style when I picked him up, loads of the kids knew all the moves but given that he's never seen it, he was just dancing 'freestyle' Grin

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 21:10

Wow you've been busy MrsRoss - am impressed. I have done nothing today!

Glad dh is on his way back and no sign of baby beating him home Totally.

Dh has told me he has a deal closing on 4 July so hes hoping Bean will be late. I suspect Bean is listening to him :-)

Congratulations oh good. Glad you got to hospital.

Congratulations photographer too- big achievement at any time but especially this pg.

princessllama · 27/06/2013 21:29

Sunday, it's my due date today! Humphrey is now 2 weeks and 2 days old. He has been alliwed to room in with me tonight for firdt time- vvv nervous, he has alot of trapped wind so think i could be up alot in the night- hate seeing him uncomfortable. Finally lay him on his tummy and he immediately went to sleep- the nurses will go ape when they come to do his meds...
Hello tryitforsize
Well done mrs millions on painting and phie for making scones

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 21:37

Princess - good luck for tonight. Gentle leg cycling and tummy massage ( always in clockwise direction) can help alleviate pain of trapped wind for babies.

MarieKL · 27/06/2013 21:42

Shelley congratulations. Fanastic news and a lovely post. My warmest wishes to you and your family.

Ohgood wow, great news. Looking forward to hearing all the details when you have time to update us.

Photographer great news on passing your test. Can't remember who said it but I wish my DH would learn to drive as well.

Dinky your 3 hour nap sounds lush. I managed an hour nap earlier, and would have happily have stayed for longer.

I'm impressed with all the raspberry tea drinking. Unfortunately I don't like it, but may have to insist on curry for dinner tomorrow tonight.

Sorry to hear about those feeling anxious and or uncomfortable. I'm really inpatient now, and can't seem to settle on anything. My poor FIL is just as bad. He's on hospital driving duty so not drinking at the moment and I think he really fancies a beer! Will owe him a big bottle of Whiskey when our LO arrives.

Hope everyone else is well. I'm enjoying hearing about all the baking, decorating and shopping that is going on. My main achievement has been clearing out our cupboards by eating my way through everything. Will seriously be a double heffalump if I keep this up Smile

MarieKL · 27/06/2013 21:46

Princess, lovely that Humphrey is in with you. Good luck. My DS was windy too and the Midwifes showed me how to tilt the cot to an angel which I never would have dared to do on my own but it really worked and when we got home we managed something similar with blankets layered under the mattress of the Moses basket. May be worth asking about. Will be thinking off you

Thinkingof4 · 27/06/2013 21:46

Oh meant to say thanks for popping back in Bessie I hope things are going ok for you

elliejjtiny · 27/06/2013 21:50

I've forgotten who has said what now but congratulations ohgood and shelley on the new arrivals and well done photographer as well. Good luck princess, that will be me on Saturday and sunday night. I had a look at Ezekiel's feed chart today to see what I'm letting myself in for at night Smile.

tryitonforsize · 27/06/2013 22:16

Thinkingof4 - nope, this is my second. Already have a very exuberant 3 year old DD (is that the right acronym for a daughter...God, I really am such a novice!)... she's figured out she can move faster than me at the moment and is using it to full advantage Hmm.

Is anybody else still working? I run my own company and only managed to find maternity cover from Monday... 3 days before my due date. It's killing me... I vacillate between periods of intense productivity and general weeping at the exhaustion of it all. My poor husband!

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 22:32

Runs and Cheek are working till right up to their due dates too Tryitonforsize so you're not alone.

Shiv posted on fb- Oliver has had another run of bad gases (after as run of good gases where they were planning to move to bpap). Keep Shiv and Oliver and family in your prayers all - I think they could do with all the love and support we can send them.

OP posts:
PhieEl06 · 27/06/2013 23:01

Congratulations Ohgood!

Neither OH or myself are very gifted in the kitchen dinky, something however I am working on! Thanks for letting us know about Shiv, if you are reading, just know we're thinking of you always! My everything is crossed for Oliver! Xxxx

Cheek IMO fantastic if you have no clue at all like me, at the beginning it gives you a run down on basic ingredients & basic methods on how to do things, can be patronising but it is aimed at children, recipes look delicious though!

Scones were a success! Have munched away on 4 of them! Yummy! Blush

Supershiv1 · 27/06/2013 23:40

Thanks Dinky for the update from FB. Just sat here waiting for someone to finish with the boob pump.
Congrats to new arrivals I hope all goes well for you all.
Xxx to

MrsRoss26 · 28/06/2013 05:02

An early morning hullo, and all my most positive thoughts for Oliver's gases coming down again today Shiv. I hope you got some rest last night Thanks

Shiv sending you love and best wishes as always, hope Oliver had a good night.

Princess hope your first night with Humphrey went well, what an achievement Smile I hope you managed to get some sleep too? I can't believe he is over 2 weeks old already, time has moved so fast.

Happy Aniversary Dinky hope you have a lovely day, sounds like you have a wonderful day planed.

Hope all other new mummies are doing well with their precious new arrivals.

Waves to everyone else Smile

SundaySunshine · 28/06/2013 08:55

Ooo who's the other new arrival from yesterday?? I can't believe how many babies there are already!

dinkystinky · 28/06/2013 09:18

Its Gingerpanther27 Sunday - was waiting for her to confirm her mn identity! Will update next time I do the list - by which time we'll hopefully have also heard from NPK and Shelley.

My lovely day will be interrupted with a visit to the birth centre for monitoring as Bean has continued to be unusually quiet so they want to check all is ok. Am sure is alright as can feel hiccups every so often but best to play it safe I guess.

OP posts:
SundaySunshine · 28/06/2013 09:54

Thanks Dinky hope everything is ok with your little one and you don't have to spend too long in the clinic.

Cheeseandbread · 28/06/2013 11:01

Dinky happy anniversary, hope you don't have to be in the clinic too long.

Princess I hope your night with Humphrey went well too.

Phie I've got the Holland and Barrat ones for now- might move on to capsules later.

Bessie Thanks for popping back to check on us all. I hope things are good with you.

Shiv still keeping little Oliver in my thoughts and prayers.

DH has the day off today so we are doing DIY together- taken on the task of scraping off old paint from the front of our cottage ready for painting... Rather a big job as it turns out... I've stopped for a tea and biscuit break Biscuit

I had some period type pains last night and got a bit excited and scared at the same time...but didn't turn into anything. Last NCT session tomorrow and then hospital tour in Sunday so it would probably be good if bean stayed put for now.

37 weeks tomorrow...
