Hello all. I don't know if any of you remember me - I started off on this thread but miscarried at 12 weeks because the baby had a chromosomal problem. I just popped in to say congratulations to all of you who have had your babies early and to wish the rest of you easy births Grin

photographer good luck with your test tomorrow - is the test centre still at the top of that hill - they usually get you to do a hill start there! i'm not in town tomorrow unless i am sent to hospital again so you will have one less ditsy driver to deal with Grin

am hoping that tonight brings some sleep - what with the children waking up every hour or so last night and me being uncomfy and awake i am now completely shattered. apprentice and early night for me i think!

SundaySunshine · 26/06/2013 19:54

Thanks bessie nice to hear from you, hope all is well with you?

Ooh thinking my mum kept all my teeth! Sounds a bit gross but she cleaned them up Smile

Sorry to hear your DS is poorly vinegar hope he gets better soon.

bigbelly4 · 26/06/2013 20:02

hello ladies - just marking my spot!

I am utterly fed up with this pregnancy lark now. I never understood it when people said that to me before as previous pregnancies I have breezed through!

Just so uncomfortable and moody and generally a stroppy madam at the moment. Then feel uber selfish as its not about me but the baby but bugger me I hope it comes out soon!

Anyway I shall grumble off.........

Sashabella0 · 26/06/2013 20:14

Hi ladies

Just marking my spot really.

Went to a helpful NHS breast feeding workshop this morning. Trying to spend the rest of my time revising for two 3 hour exams I have on Monday. Just what I need at this stage of pregnancy. The builders are finished so I just want to get the house in order. It'll have to wait until Tuesday though.

36 today

TotallyEggFlipped · 26/06/2013 20:15

shelley sorry I don't get to respond to your 6am post earlier, but DD came in to tell me she was awake a 5:15 and this is the first chance I've had to get back online all day. None of the women I've looked after during CS have particularly wanted skin-to-skin in theatre, but I'm sure that if any of them expressed a wish for it, they would be assisted - there's plenty of people there to support you in theatre. It's definitely not impossible! Glad things are looking up.

Had my home MW appointment today. Another 'stand in' for the MW I'm meant to be seeing, but haven't met yet. All went well, measuring as 33 1/2, which is ok. Baby is head down, but I'm sure it's on the right, so I'm hoping it'll shift over.

photographer - good luck tomorrow!

MrsWildermac · 26/06/2013 20:19

Hello ladies, sorry not been on here much recently...lots going on getting work done to the house and seem to have spent far too much time in Ikea than is normal (has anyone ever noticed how many pregnant women seem to be in Ikea?!). 37weeks today but not a single BH or twinge or even pressure...feel like this baby won't ever want to get out!

This really is it ladies...we're nearly there!

PhieEl06 · 26/06/2013 21:03

Icing perfectly reasonable! or I'm just hormonal too

Grannyapple boo I hope you feel better soon!

Shelley sometimes tears are needed to show just how much you want something & the fact you're pregnant allows it! Glad that you've made the supervisor of midwives aware of your preferences!

MrsWildermac I need to have an ikea shop soon, will be joining the many pregnant ladies!

MrsMillions · 26/06/2013 21:08

Well the pampering was fab, my feet look better than they have for ages and I'm loving the lashes. Sometimes get them done for holidays, and whilst it's no substitute for full mascara volume it is great by day when you have pale ones.

Midwife said I'm 4/5 palpable so baby has started moving but has a bit further to go. I'm also on the iron supplements, but surgery neglected to tell me so they've been sat in the pharmacy for 10 days. Got them now, I'm right on the cusp of needing them so not too much problem with the delay. Just hoping to avoid side effects.

Eek at the tooth fairy inflation since my day! I think I might have been on 10p a tooth, 20p a molar...possibly progressing to 50p for the final ones. Better start saving, or hoping for a friend like the one mentioned paid in chocolate coins.

esme80 · 26/06/2013 21:14

Good luck with your test tomorrow photographer!

persuasion Im due in a week too! MW appointment tomorrow, last time was 1/5 engaged so will see if shes headed the right way... Am having very strong BH every evening now, getting painful, but stop after an hour or so. Trying to not spot for signs, but just getting so fed up!

dinkystinky · 26/06/2013 21:41

Dh tells me he saw Jocovich and Nadal at Wimbledon earlier this week.

MrsWildermac - 39 weeks here tomorrow and no signs of imminent labour either. Oh well, Bean will come when it wants to...

Best of luck tomorrow photographer!

I decided last night while watching obem that perhaps I ought to consider some pain relief other than paracetemol and entonox. Have put in my plan that I'd prefer Remifentanil over an epidural (if it gets that bad) and have also hired a tens machine. I think it works - tried it out this evening on a nasty set of bh which were made worse by iron tablet based constipation.

Was 4/5 palpable at 37wk appt and I'm pretty sure it's moved down more. Can I also apply for membership of the fed up gang?

evelynj · 26/06/2013 23:03

iPad for a tooth? These parents should be publicly humiliated!

Bessie-thanks for popping in & hope you're feeling ok. I know it's hard when your due date comes round after mc.

Millions-I have a lash and brow tint and wax booked for week before elcs. DId it before DS and it made me look a good bit less dead!

I suddenly can't get comfortable any more just sitting down.

After all the work we've almost got finished in the house for a guest suite, my blimmin in laws have said on Skype tonight when they do come that they are going to stay in a hotel as that would be easier! Wtf? There is a lovely bedroom with attached bathroom on a separate floor for them. Is it too much to ask that everyone just do things the way I want them to?!!

Photographer- good luck with the test. Wish my dh would do his! Keep us updated :)

SlouchingPanda · 26/06/2013 23:12

Dear Primarni,

Thank you for making a grumpy, tired and hormonal 38 week pregnant lady happy with your completely ridiculous sizing. Your 'Love to Laze' dress will be perfect for chilling out pre-delivery and for breastfeeding post birth, and the fact that the size 6/8 fits my ginormous bump (despite the fact that, let's be honest, I'm a pre-pregnancy 12 in any sensible shop) has cheered me up no end.

Lots of love,

SlouchingPanda Grin

IcingTheCake · 27/06/2013 02:42

evelyn oh no! They probably think they're doing a favour by not being under your feet, but how annoying! Smile Oh well, it'll stay good as new a little while longer now! Smile

slouching oh wow i need to get me some of those Wink because if the label says it i must look that size right? Grin

Anybody else awake? Keep being sick, so cant even risk being in be at the moment Sad although at least i dont feel too tired yet

TotallyEggFlipped · 27/06/2013 03:18

Icing - hope you've stopped being sick! Could it be the start of something?

evelyn - trust me, the best place for your ILs is a hotel. Respect to them for giving you space! (also, no cleaning of guest room & extra laundry after their visit!)

Slouching - you'll have to wear the dress with the label on display Wink

37 weeks today & really annoyed because after doing loads of research to get the best prices, I bought 2 things online on Tuesday. Have just got emails from both companies to say the items are out of stock & giving me a refund. I'll have to research everything again now. So frustrating!

IcingTheCake · 27/06/2013 03:22

totally oh no! How annoying Sad worse than not finding anything in the first place! I wish it was the start of something but I've not even had twinges, i think shes just pushed up is all, whereas she was starting to engage over the last week

shelley72 · 27/06/2013 03:34

I'm awake too.

I've just had a baby girl Smile.

TotallyEggFlipped · 27/06/2013 03:40

Yay shelley - congratulations!!!!

TotallyEggFlipped · 27/06/2013 03:41

Did you get your skin-to-skin? Hope it all worked out the way you wanted.

VinegarDrinker · 27/06/2013 03:45

Congratulations shelley !

Sashabella0 · 27/06/2013 04:23

Congratulations Shelley. Xxxx

princessllama · 27/06/2013 04:57

Woohoo! Well done shelley. Hope it all went as you wanted and all is good now, looks like your mum will be babysitting on friday after all! Gantastic news

dinkystinky · 27/06/2013 04:58

Congratulations Shelley - good thing your mum is lined up to come help this week after all! Hope all went well with the birth and you and your new dd are both doing well x
