Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Is anyone else getting heartburn yet? I didn't get it til about 32 weeks last time, I CAN'T bloody have it yet Confused [burp]

rosyryan · 18/07/2013 12:54

Shit, look at the size of that list! Thanks MTB. We are due date buddies!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 12:54

That's good to hear Frank.

Coolhand · 18/07/2013 13:28

Thanks MTB - that takes a lot of time - did it last time round on my thread and took me forever! My date of 6th March is wrong (it was just a guess at the start) according to NHS calculator and m/net one it should be 2nd March. (will no doubt change again when I get my booking in/scan appointment.)

Frank glad to hear that.

TotalShock · 18/07/2013 13:33

Great news frank

rosyryan I seem to have permanent heartburn. Please say its not going to last that long!

MTB great job with the list. I can't do it from my phone but age 34. Dc 1 EDD 7th March

rosyryan · 18/07/2013 13:54

Last time I spent the last 8 weeks of pregnancy guzzling gaviscon straight from the bottle - you can get it free on prescription - and attempting to sleep bolt upright. So this had better be an early pregnancy blip that will be gone by the time of the first scan!

MortifiedAdams · 18/07/2013 13:58

Looking at that list, the hospitals are going to be busy in March!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 14:07

Mortified you should see the September list! ~It is HUGE! Apparently lots of comtraception failiures/unprotected drunk sex happens at Christmas! Grin

HotCrossPun · 18/07/2013 14:08

Nice list! Grin

MortifiedAdams · 18/07/2013 14:12

haha Im sure! Bet MWs approach September like accountants do at year-end Grin

Beccadugs · 18/07/2013 14:14

Rosy I suffer quite badly with heartburn at the best of times, (and so far PG not the best of times) and I am on a PPI called omeprozole. You could ask GP about it? Saved my life, came off if for first week I knew I was PG, but back on now. Heartburn and vomming were a really bad combo, the vomming is more controllable now the heartburn is gone.

MTBMummy · 18/07/2013 14:36

Great new Franks - really happy to hear your news

rescoonetwothree · 18/07/2013 14:41

thanks mummy and juicy! i'm just really confused! my cycles are a bit weird following mc in feb but generally about 30 days still?

don't want to be actually later than they said and then be late for booking appointment / scans / tests etc! that's my main worry!

just called epu who are going to call me back hopefully they will give me another scan in 2 weeks or so see if the dates match up to this scan again - we'll see!

MTBMummy · 18/07/2013 14:50

RosyRyan it's so nice to have a date buddy - with DD I was the only one at the end of the month 2 weeks after everyone else, so I always felt a little behind all the stages

Don't know about heart burn, but I have terrible wind Blush

Is anyone else on a second (or third or forth) that has started showing already? I can't tell if I'm bloated or if I'm actually starting to show

MTBMummy · 18/07/2013 14:54

Grey I had a mc in May so only have 1 LMP to date on, so not sure if my dates are correct or not, they only tend to use LMP for EDD until you have your first scan and then will adjust the dates if need be, so you don't need to worry about the later scans

JK10 · 18/07/2013 15:15

zazza so sorry, wish u lots of luck in the future

MTB I feel just the same as u! Totally bloated and look like i'm showing! We are going on holiday on 22nd August and I was hoping that I would still be able to keep it quiet by then.

I'm sitting in garden watching kids play in paddling pool! Catching up on the news on here and could quite easily go to sleep!! Instead I should be washing, ironing and tidying!! Just too tired ESP after MIL last nite!! I spoke to DP and said you really need to have a word but he won't! And she won't cut the apron strings! We've been together 12 years! She really needs to find something better to do!

franks good luck tomorrow

MummyPig24 · 18/07/2013 15:20

The dr was lovely. She said its an implantation bleed and nothing to worry about unless it gets heavier or keeps spotting for a few days. Apparently repeated early scanning in early pregnancy is thought not to be good now so no scan unless necessary and this wasn't a necessary situation.

I feel so ill after that trip though. It's not far, 15/20 minute walk, but in this heat and feeling rough! The appt was half an hour late too. Dd and I flaked on the sofa, have to pick ds up in a bit though.

Coolhand · 18/07/2013 15:22

MTB def have a noticeable tummy but still convinced it's the bloating.

I feel:
a) like I have a permanent hangover
b) like a lazy layabout

I am normally all go but just can't be bothered doing anything right now.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 15:24

I have done absolutely bugger all all week! I feel quite rough, the heat is killing me, and ?I keep coming over all faint! Ill do housework next week!

Wuxiapian · 18/07/2013 15:31

This heat's unbearable, isn't it?

I did a housework blitz yesterday as I wasn't going anywhere (and didn't want to be a complete layabout)! Needless to say, I needed a very early night.

My poor 5 month old. Could've/should've/would've gone to play group had the heat not had such a draining effect on me!

Roll on sub-20 degree weather!!
