Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Sad so so sorry Sazza

Is anyone else working shifts? I work.in hospitality so we are exempt from the minimum.hours between shifts and lst night I finished work at 11.15, & have to be back at my desk by 7am. By the time I managed to get to sleep last night (1ish), ive had five hours. I feel ill from.it. And my schedule includes at least two of these late/early pairings a week.

I really dont know of I can handle them at the minute. Sad

TWinklyLittleStar · 18/07/2013 06:10

sazza really sorry :(

soured hope you got some sleep and that the pain has eased.

frank how are you this morning? Did you get some rest?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 18/07/2013 07:10

Morning everyone, thanks for the thoughts.

Sazza I'm so sorry Sad

I managed to sleep ok, despite it being 28 degrees in the house Hmm. I don't seem to have bled overnight so I'm just hoping that it was a scare. I'm taking the rest of the week of work to take it easy, and ticking off the hours till tomorrow morning's scan.

Souredstones · 18/07/2013 07:27

Oh Sazza I am sorry to hear that.

TWinklyLittleStar · 18/07/2013 07:29

Glad to hear it frank, hopefully it was just a clot passing or something and it'll all be ok tomorrow. Enjoy the rest, can you lie in the garden under a sprinkler or something?

RugbyWidow7 · 18/07/2013 08:03

Oh sazza, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a horrible time you've had. I hope you got some sleep and manage a restful day today.

Jk10 I agree that your dh should speak with your mil. Could she leave it on top / under the van as a compromise. Sounds a bit like supergran rushing around in the middle of the night to me Grin though not at all funny that you're being woken up. I wouldn't be impressed either.

I'm so so tired this morning, and this is usually my best time of the day! Feel so irritable, dizzy and nauseas. Ds woke at 6am when dh's alarm went off and I decided to stay up late (err until 10.30pm Blush) watching TV. Now paying the price. Urgh, it's going to be a long day. Thanks to you all though, I pursued my doc surgery and have an early Mw app today, so hopefully might make progress there. Will report back.

RugbyWidow7 · 18/07/2013 08:04

Glad to hear you're feeling better Frank Brew

MTBMummy · 18/07/2013 08:14

sazza I'm so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself and hopefully we'll see you on another bus soon

Frank - how are you feeling this morning?

On a lighter note - my boobs seem to have exploded overnight, I was staying with my sister and borrowed one of her vest tops to sleep in (too hot) it fitted fine last night, and I woke up this morning and I was almost falling out of it - in exchange my bladder seems to have shrunk, I was up and down 5 times last night to go to the loo - surely this is all supposed to happen later...

MummyPig24 · 18/07/2013 08:30

This whole being pregnant thing is hard work isn't it?!

I am so grumpy in the mornings, picking fights with dh and getting irritated with the kids, who are also hot and tired as its the end of term. I have no energy to do housework or cook.

Wuxiapian · 18/07/2013 08:47

Very sorry, sazza. Best wishes for next time.

I'm totally whacked - all through the day. Headaches, nausea and general limpness. Not sure how I'm getting through it.

8 weeks this weekend, so that's 4 weeks til 12 weeks and hopefully an ease in these symptoms! I think it's a girl as I never felt this bad with my 2 boys!

JuicyFatSteak · 18/07/2013 09:01

Sazza, I'm so, so sorry Sad

JBrd · 18/07/2013 09:14

Sazza so sorry to hear your sad news. Be kind to yourself.

MummyPig24 · 18/07/2013 09:23

Just been to the toilet and when I wiped there was bloodstained discharge. What do I do? I'm not registered with a midwife yet.

rosyryan · 18/07/2013 09:24

I'm so sorry Sazz :( It's so unfair.

Glad you had a better night Frank. Everything crossed here for you.

rosyryan · 18/07/2013 09:26

Mortified I have to do an 11.15pm finish followed by an 8am start once a week and it kills me so you have my utmost sympathy! God knows how we are going to do it in seven months time.

Rockchick1984 · 18/07/2013 09:26

Mummypig ring your dr's surgery - chances are its nothing to worry about particularly if only a tiny bit of blood but better to put your mind at rest.

rosyryan · 18/07/2013 09:29

Is there an EPAU near you Mummy? Could you give them a call? Or maybe call your doctors and ask their advice. Have you ever had anything like this in your previous pregnancies? I hope it doesn't get any heavier.

MummyPig24 · 18/07/2013 09:34

No I never had any bleeding before. Shit I'm worried. What's best dr or epau?

Rockchick1984 · 18/07/2013 09:36

Most EPU need a referal from your GP but if you're not sure try calling them first and ask. Was it a lot of blood or just a speck in normal discharge?

TWinklyLittleStar · 18/07/2013 09:36

Your Dr, they will know where the epau is and if you need to be referred they can do it. How much blood? A little bleeding is terrifying but not usually a problem.

Rockchick1984 · 18/07/2013 09:36

Sorry for TMI question but have you had sex recently, as that can irritate the cervix in pregnancy?

MummyPig24 · 18/07/2013 09:44

I phoned the dr and I got an appointment for 4. I'm supposed to pick ds up at 4 and I really don't want to take the kids with me but I have no choice. The receptionist said if any cancellations she would call me.

No sex recently. Too hot and tired!

It was just blood in the discharge, not a speck but not loads. No pain.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/07/2013 09:53

Dp stayed up half the night and is now impossible to wake so I guess I'm not getting my scan today. Will try tomorrow morning instead.

LyraSilvertongue · 18/07/2013 09:54

So sorry things didn't work out for you Sazza. Best of luck for next time. X

TWinklyLittleStar · 18/07/2013 09:58

lyra why was he up so late? Unless it was completely unavoidable I would be waking him up or going without him.
