Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Thanks everyone, bleeding seems to have eased off and is just a smidge when I wipe now. I'll keep you all informed.

Fingers crossed for you too sazza

AndieDisestablishment · 17/07/2013 16:31

Fingers crossed for you Frank and Sazza If its any comfort there have been two concealed pregnancies on the maternity ward I work on this last month, both women were bleeding regularly which they took for periods...their babies were fine.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 16:59

It's very possible that the bleeding is caused by a cervical erosion. The pg hormones make the surface of the cervix more delicate and it can get irritated and bleed. Pg bleeding doesn't have to be bad.

MummyPig24 · 17/07/2013 17:04

I've had a mega busy day. Didn't get to eat anything till 1 by which time I was shaky and faint. Kids arguing and moaning and I think I might go and crawl in a hole!!

Fingers crossed frank and sazza

stephie101 · 17/07/2013 17:16

Well today ladies i took a day off work....slept all day, am absolutely exhausted...im also off chicken big time...only steak or beef hotpot for me!!
Nipple pain worse in the evening and my new brekkie is crisps..ready salted or salt n vinegar..eases the bitch of nausea a bit.

frank and sazza stay positive girlies...xx

Beccadugs · 17/07/2013 17:27

Fingers crossed Sazza and Frankel.

I have also had a day off, and apparently have a UTI so on some anti-bs apparently once we clean that up I should stop feeling so horrendous... I hope it is as simple as that.

I also have crisps for breakfast... Yum yum yum!!

HotCrossPun · 17/07/2013 17:37

I was off today as well. I'm a bit worried though, my work are notorious for sacking people at the drop of a hat.

5 people were sacked last month for attendance/timekeeping issues. This is my first sick day so I'm really hoping that I'm okay to go in tomorrow!

stephie101 · 17/07/2013 17:49

I'm usually busy as a bee both at home and work, do what's required and more, i'mlucky to have a supportive team ( work in child protection/family support). Going to see if i can arrange my hours better to suit my needs a bit more...i also think i may have a bit of a UTI too...

MummyPig24 · 17/07/2013 18:11

Bluergh, everyone is melting! Kids showered and stuck in front of the telly. It's one of those evenings! I'm starving. I get really hungry in the evening, having not been able to stomach much all day, but then if I eat too much I feel so sick in the night. So I spend most of my time hungry at the moment!

Cuppy84 · 17/07/2013 18:15

Hi all, have had no Internet for over a week and just found out how to use my phone to use network Internet Smile hope everyone doing well, fingers crossed for all who are bleeding, sure hope you'll all be ok- I had it for a few days last week but nothing at the moment although still quite a few cramps Hmm hope the little peanuts ok...
Nausea reigning supreme in my mass of symptoms with bit of sickness, told my boss today who was great about it and will try to work something out with hours for next couple of weeks - certain they had guessed to be honest as I've been on edge and green for some time now!

Please could someone kindly add me to the stats as I have no idea when bt will sort out Internet!

Rockchick1984 · 17/07/2013 18:30

Hot if you are worried then tell work you are pregnant (in writing) and you are protected against disciplinary action regarding absence for pregnancy related illness. Also means you can have paid time off for antenatal appointments :)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 18:36

Hot, you need to tell them you are pregnant. It is illegal to sack someone for a pg related reason.

MortifiedAdams · 17/07/2013 19:21

Hot tell them ASAP, via email (or even verbally but follow up with an email).

Frankel & Sazza fingers crossed xx

Lambchop14 · 17/07/2013 19:36

Please can someone help me or advise me?... This isn't going to sound pleasant but for the last 2 days I have had a really sore tummy (feels like a combination of bloated and gassy and the fact that my bra is starting to dig in) it's been so uncomfortable that I've had to sit with a hot water bottle on my tummy all day at work. Can anyone recommend anything? Is this normal in pregnancy?

AndieDisestablishment · 17/07/2013 19:46

I've been like this for two weeks Lambchop Bloating/gassy feeling is quite normal and the heat will be making you feel like you're expanding. Try and keep lightly active and stay hydrated.

rescoonetwothree · 17/07/2013 19:48

lambchop dried apricots!

MummyPig24 · 17/07/2013 19:57

You need "p" fruits lambchop, prunes, pears, peaches and also try prune juice or figs. Should get things moving with plenty of water and a bit of exercise.

JuicyFatSteak · 17/07/2013 19:57

Whatever you do, do not wolf down a fishfinger butty smothered in ketchup followed by a white Magnum Envy Sad

Lambchop14 · 17/07/2013 19:58

Greymoose, what do dried apricots do? I don't like them but I'd eat them if it takes it all away.

LyraSilvertongue · 17/07/2013 20:03

Dried apricots are full of fibre, much like prunes.

Lambchop14 · 17/07/2013 20:03

Ha ha a magnum sounds nice! 😉 No problem with actually toilet movement. I think it's just extra gas on top for some reason?!

Lambchop14 · 17/07/2013 20:06

P.s please tell me it's not going to feel like this for another 33 weeks!

MummyPig24 · 17/07/2013 20:09

No I doubt it. Things should settle down soon and you will "bloom"! Pschhh, you probably will actually, but I sure as hell won't!

stephie101 · 17/07/2013 20:18

Having a mega paranoid evening, scan on friday but feel ive been reading too much on mmc and stuff...anyone else the same and how do you chill it out a bit? #goingabitloopyloo
