Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Welcome sazza Wine

Beccadugs · 14/07/2013 20:24

Welcome Sazza and Thaleia!

It is a very busy bus, sometimes difficult to keep up especially of your of the fuzzy brain variety!

RugbyWidow7 · 14/07/2013 20:29

Sorry, my screen only just updated so I've seen the other posts.

Juicy I know what you mean re smells making you heave - I had to cross the road today as someone was smoking a cigarette...in this heat....feeling ill again thinking about it!

I am eating soo much! Just off to polish off my extra large chocolate bar! Grin

MummyPig24 · 14/07/2013 20:32

Aww well that's an even bigger congratulations since you have had ivf. It must be such an emotional journey!

I'm lounging on the bed watching mean girls again! I haven't watched it in years and now twice in one day. Have left dh downstairs watching top gear.

I run a toddler group on a Monday morning, I am leaving soon as dd starts full time nursery in September, and obviously setting up involves lots of heavy lifting. I will have to try and do some of the lighter things without anyone noticing.

Thaleia · 14/07/2013 20:46

Hihi, yes I noticed that is everything at once with cream in top!

I hope that everything works out, it's still so very early. I know already that there is a c-s is waiting for me at the end. It's bizarre, talk about priorities...

PiratesMam · 14/07/2013 21:06

So so tired today - the heat is not helping I guess but crikey am trying to remember if I was this tired at 6 weeks the last 2 times! Slightly nauseous today too - that all kicked in at 7 weeks last time so bracing myself.

Have also only just realised we will need to buy a bigger car when this one comes. Oops! What do all you 3+ DCs folks drive??

MortifiedAdams · 14/07/2013 21:12

HotCrossPun sorry just seen about your rhesus negative comment at the top of the thread - I am AB- and only found out while pg. I got an injection of Anti-D while pg and another after delivery. The one given in pregnancy is to coat the blood cells, so if baby's blood and mine mixes at any point, my body wont reject the baby if she has positive blood. Similarly, the shot given after labour was to protect me for any future pregnancies.

They would even want you to have Anti-D even if your DH was also negative, just incase you have played away!! Grin

DD was negative too, in my case.

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 21:13

Mummy, IVF was the easiest part of my whole ttc journey. I just took a few drugs, chose my donor, then flew to the Czech Republic to buy my baby. Fucking brilliant. I feel like the happiest and most blessed old bag in the whole world.

I was going to watch Top Gear until I saw that posh, piggy-eyed munter Benedict Cumbertwat was going to be on. His face makes me want to..erm...'scuse me............

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 21:18

Pirates, how come you need a bigger car with three kids? Do three not fit in the back? I see Toyotas all the time with at least sixteen squashed in. Maybe you should buy one o' them?

HotCrossPun · 14/07/2013 21:27

Thanks Mortified that sounds a lot less complicated than some of the articles I was reading suggested!

What stage in your previous pregnancy did you get your first injection?

MortifiedAdams · 14/07/2013 21:35

Quite late, about 28 weeks. It is quite a big needle, MW advised me to bring someone along - took DH and he nearly passed out Grin didnt feel as painful as it looked. Think in the olden days it was called Blue Baby - just if you are talking to your mum/aints etc about it.

MummyPig24 · 14/07/2013 21:36

We have a skoda Octavia vrs and I really can't see us getting 3 child seats in the back. Dh is in denial at the moment!

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 21:44

Ah. Child seats. Gone are the days when you could just let all your kids roll around on the floor in the back, eating cigarette stubs Smile

BoobsTooBig · 14/07/2013 21:50

I was 7+1 today but I think very sadly I have miscarried today. I stared to bleed and then fished out what I think was my little one and placenta from the loo because I had to know if it was. I cried until I had no more tears left in me. I have an appointment to have a scan tomorrow late morning that will confirm that I am or not. But I don't feel pregnant anymore my tummy has gone totally flat again and boobs are no longer sensitive or sore. Devastating 😢 but I will confirm either way tomorrow about mid day ish there is still a little part of me that hopes they will tell me I still am. This is/was my first pregnancy with my husband.

Coolhand · 14/07/2013 22:05

Boobs I am so sorry. My heart just broke for you when you said you cried until no tears left. A m/c is just a heart wrenching experience.

I hope tmrw you will discover that all is okay. If it isn't, look after yourself, get all the support you can from those who are close to you and allow yourself space to grieve. Also, when you feel like ttc again, you do not have raised chances of having another m/c from someone who hasn't had one. So sorry.

Slippersandacuppa · 14/07/2013 22:07
