Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Juicy, way to make everyone start thinking about prams Grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 14/07/2013 13:00

Oh dear I feel rough today. This is the closest I've been to actual vomiting, I've retched a few times (sorry TMI). Eating is helping a bit but I can only manage small amounts at a time.

In other news, my bra feels tighter today, so perhaps my boobs are finally catching up!

rosyryan · 14/07/2013 13:07

Frank I found mini-cheddars a godsend in my first pregnancy. They were the only thing I could keep down. Hooray for feeling rough, it means that everything is progressing nicely! (Disclaimer: You can poke me in the eye/ remind me of this in two weeks when I have my head down the toilet.)

Coolhand · 14/07/2013 13:10

Can't sleep either which is v annoying - I'm sure it happened last time but only remember it at the end.

Enjoy the barbecue! We're off to my sister-in-laws for a barbecue today, so thankfully no cooking for us. Haven't told them yet so will just use the old designated driver excuse.

Beccadugs · 14/07/2013 13:11

Frankel I get three bra extenders from amazon for about a quid! Saves having to buy a new one!!

My medication has helped. I still feel very nauseas and rough. But have stopped being sick... Result!

And who ever it was who mentioned twins... I'm terrified, although DH pointed out I wouldn't have to feel like this again!

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 13:17

How do bra extenders work when it's the cups that runneth over?

When I open my fridge door I am violently assaulted by the smells. I puked twice yesterday (once because I swigged milk straight from the carton and my metallic gob translated the taste as Mini Chedders).

Rosy, yes, I did clock the irony Hmm

TWinklyLittleStar · 14/07/2013 13:45

Sorry you're feeling crappy frank love, and everyone else who feels rough.

It's been a fairly rough day for me so far too. I haven't told work yet but at this rate it might be hard to hide.

Coletterbox · 14/07/2013 14:25

Twinkly, I told my manager last week. I hadn't planned to say anything but had been feeling so rough I had to keep thinking up excuses to work from home. In the end I thought it best to come clean and now I'm glad that I did because now I don't have to lie!

On a completely different subject, I must be hormonal - just shed a tear at England winning the cricket!

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 14:28

Coletterbox, your name is ace.

Cricket is dick-spaff but even I felt slightly pleased for their win.

Beccadugs · 14/07/2013 15:01

Juicy the bra extenders make the back bigger, but I find it helps with the cups too as they can move forward a bit IYSWIM, so not quite so Jordan-esque!!

Coletterbox · 14/07/2013 15:07

Thanks Juicy! Smile

DH has some family in Oz so there's always a bit of friendly banter when the Ashes are on! It's done a good job in taking my mind off feeling like crap too Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/07/2013 15:17

Anybody else got skin that feels bruised on their stomach/back? Mine is so tender I can't even touch it. Suspect its not related as I've never heard of this as a symptom.
On the subject of those things with wheels we shall not talk of, my DH declared out of the blue today that it must NOT be pink (he wants carbon evidently Shock)

teameespudding · 14/07/2013 15:18

Hi everyone and congratulations on your great news. Can I join the March club as we found out last week we are due on the 13th March 2014 with our first aka Pudding!
It would be lovely to have somewhere to go to talk to other people expecting around the same time. I have had period pain like cramps, nausea and extreme tiredness. Just wondering if anyone else on here are a same sex couple? We don't know any other couples who are going through the same as us and would like to see how they are getting on. enjoy your pregnancies everyone hope its smooth sailing! xx

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 17:40

I have just arrived at my mum's for a short stay and her freshly laundered, beautifully-smelling lounge cushions are making me sick. I can't believe this isn't twins.

Welcome, tea. There was a lesbian on my 'eggcellent egg buddies' thread going through IVF with us

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 17:42

Merk, what a weird pain you've got goin' on there...deffo doesn't sound preggo-related. Has DH been a little forceful with the pork sword over a dining table mebbe?

YellowRose2728 · 14/07/2013 17:50

Hi all Smile

originally on the Feb thread, I had an early scan which has put me 1st March.
2DS 10 & 9 so big gap eek!!
Have been pretty rough with sickness so have a face like this..Envy Envy haha! Here's to the next 7 months eh?

7+1

stephie101 · 14/07/2013 17:51

So..more sleep and resting is working for me,cramping has subsided..phew and i am just bloody knackered....

Beccadugs · 14/07/2013 18:48

Well my medicated relief was short lived... Feeling dreadful again. Have forced down a pint of water and some ginger ale. It's not sitting well in there!

I am having some womb stretchy feelings too, at least I think as they are not like cramps, more like a stitch.

sazzababs · 14/07/2013 19:07

Jumping on now, but I've been stalking the thread for a few days :)

Due around 12th March after a MMC at 13 weeks in August last year... Had 2 very early chems this year and had our referral to the fertility peeps 5 days before getting a positive piss stick this month :D Feel a bit pants and constantly knocker checking due to the copious wetness down there, but all is a it should be so far. Still pretty nervous but to be honest I'll be like this until a babb is actually born lol!

Stuck at work in this heat, so hope everyone else is getting to enjoy (or hate!) the heat x

RugbyWidow7 · 14/07/2013 20:04

Evening all. What a weekend. The exhaustion is getting to me and DH and I have been arguing. I'm so irritable and irrationally angry. Totally agree about the breathing comment.

I'm also totally wiped out btw 3-8. It's hard going. I tried to go to bed at lunchtime today and DH started pressure washing the back patio outside below my bedroom window. Grr! Angry I wasn't happy. Only another 8 weeks of this based on last time.

MummyPig24 · 14/07/2013 20:04

Welcome newbies! And congratulations!

Juicy I will be so jealous if you are having twins!

No nausea but my nipples still hurt like hell but the rest of my boobs are fine.

MummyPig24 · 14/07/2013 20:05

Ruby 3-8 is my tired time too, then I can't get to sleep at night!

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 20:09

Sazza, I'm really sorry about your mmc. I had one last year and never got pregnant again. I blame the bastard ERPC. If you're owt like me you'll be feeling pretty terrified wary about these early weeks. I hope we both have a joyous and uneventful pregnancy Smile

Rugby, I would have kicked my husband in the dick for that.

My mum went to church before and soaked herself in that vile Hot Couture perfume by Givenchy. I literally haven't stopped running to the toilet since. Cannot stop chundering Envy

JuicyFatSteak · 14/07/2013 20:13

Mummypig, it's not twins, I had my six week scan on Friday. My beta blood levels were sky-high at OTD and I was told it was almost definitely twins with such whopping results, not mentioning the fact that I had two embryos transferred during IVF. However, there's definitely only a singleton in there. Which is probably for the best; miscarriage rates are rather high for multiple pregnancies when the mother is over 40.

Thaleia · 14/07/2013 20:18

Wow - 600 posts already!
Joining you on the bus nevertheless :)

Me: Thaleia
DC: DS 14.5 months
Due: Around 20 March

Haven't managed to read all previous posts but it is lovely and encouraging to have such a lively and busy bunch.

Wanted to join today as little treat to myself as had to spend the last few days with DH family and feel mentally drained.

Can't believe this is happening, very happy, slightly anxious and very tired!
