Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Welcome Samsmother. Sorry to hear you're feeling blue. Was the pregnancy a complete shock to you?

RugbyWidow7 · 08/07/2013 07:10

Welcome toaster! I have scan envy! I can't seem to get into my doctors any earlier than another week's time, which feels like forever. I'd love an early scan, so may end up paying up if they won't give me one, though think they're more like £100 around here!

Btw, does anyone know of a quick way to jump down to the bottom of the thread on an ipad/iPhone etc? It takes about 15 mins to scroll to the end now Smile - i know you can on the computer but can't seem to find a way on here.

Beccadugs · 08/07/2013 07:23

At the top there is a "flip" option, that will put all the posts in reverse order so you can see the last few rugby!

LittleMachine · 08/07/2013 07:59

Sams, sorry to hear that this pregnancy wasn't what you were hoping for.
We're here to listen if you'd like to talk about it.

LittleMachine · 08/07/2013 08:00

Good luck with your scan Steph.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 08/07/2013 08:04

Rugby have you tried using the "Bookmark" button? If you use the Mobile site there is a blue "Bookmark" button at the bottom of every post, next to the "Report" button.

Welcome to additional newbies and good luck with the scan stephie

HotCrossPun · 08/07/2013 09:05

Good luck with the scan Steph

There is a clinic here that does early 3d scans for £39. I'm planning on booking in at the end of the month when I'll be 9 weeks.

Happy Monday everyone, how are we all feeling?

RugbyWidow7 · 08/07/2013 09:17

Wow that's amazing hotcrosspun!

Thanks for the tips ladies, I have now flipped the thread! GrinIt's so much easier now!!

snapple21 · 08/07/2013 11:11

Good luck with your scan steph.

My scan is tommorow, hopefully there will be a hb.

I'm so sick !

Cuppy84 · 08/07/2013 11:15

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining this wagon Smile
Wanted to join in when had BFP last Monday but had bad cramps and spotting for a few days and didn't want to jinx it. Eased off now and tests are still coming back strong each morning, am so excited I could burst!!
Have all possible symptoms and kind of relishing them at the moment as confirmation but know that will probably wear off soon Grin

Congratulations all xxx

marie456 · 08/07/2013 15:46

Hi all,
I'm now 5weeks exactly I think. Am feeling very worried as no symptoms other than tiredness, but that may be down to having had a week off work so later nights than normal. I'm like you thattso in that I repeated clearblue digital yesterday and its still saying 1-2. Should be 2-3 by now.
The main worry is this morning I had some pink cm when I went to the loo and again just now when I went to the loo. I rang gp and he said bed rest for 2days which has scared me more! Has anybody else had this??? I've been googling and it seems it can be normal or a bad thing, so none the wiser Xx

MummyPig24 · 08/07/2013 16:07

Hi everyone. Just had a BFP about an hour ago! Can I join? Edd march 21st, this is baby number 3 for us.

mimili · 08/07/2013 16:14

Can I please join, A BPF yesterday (twice) and again today (twice). With every possibility of one or two more until it sinks in

I am 31, and due 18th March

DH is being amazing. But being at work and being ?normal? is proving to be tough!

stephie101 · 08/07/2013 16:50

LittleMachine · 08/07/2013 17:30

Hi to everyone who had joined us, hi those from the July bus Grin
Congratulations!

Glad your scan went well Steph. Great news.

Marie I had varying bleeding from early pregnancy until 12 weeks with DS. Like you said it has a range of causes, and chances are everything will be fine.

Wuxiapian · 08/07/2013 18:50

Marie, I had pink/brown discharge early on with DS1 and DS2. Everything was fine and was told it's pretty common.

RugbyWidow7 · 08/07/2013 19:57

Excellent news on the scan Steph. How exciting!

Marie, I bled heavily with ds and spent a night in hospital but all was fab in the end Grin

Does anyone else feel like they're showing already?! Blush I can't really believe I've just written that at less then 6 weeks, but I feel like I'm holding my stomach in so people don't guess. What?!

Starting to feel more relaxed now, as I'm past my dreaded 5.5 wk point, but still def going to ask for an early scan. Fingers crossed!

stephie101 · 08/07/2013 20:18

Thanks everyone :)

I'm looking bigger, i've always carried extra plumpness after my last two and am curvy with a waist, but i know this will vanish quickly, my upper stomach under my boobs wont hide..and i'm moaning as very tired and headachy!!!

Beccadugs · 08/07/2013 21:37

Hi to all the newbies! Recognise a few names from the July bus!

Went to the GPs today who has said plenty of rest and will do a "fit note" if I need to reduce my hours, with only two weeks til the end of term and a very understanding boss I am going to try to struggle through. Quite glad I am not classroom based anymore as continual sucking of glacier mints would be a bit mean in front of the kids!

I hope everything is ok Marie. No words of wisdom but virtual handholding offered!

It was a good job I did go to the GP as the waiting time for a midwife appointment is 5 weeks! Which will put me at 10 and 4 days. Hope it won't delay the scan appointment!

samsmother · 08/07/2013 22:01

RUGBY & LITTLEMACHINE its been a really tough year but tougher few weeks. First we decide to do a small extension last year to build a second bedroom on our one bed flat, had to move in with my parents for 4 weeks.....FW almost a year, we are still here because we ran into a problem neighbour and thousands of pounds later in a massive legal battle against her with her being as vindictive and malicious as you could never expect anybody to be like. Can't move back home whilst its sorted as se waited til our home was completely gutted before starting. So we have a whole mountain of debt that I am unsure how to get out of. Then my DH gets offered a new job with a pay cut but will (hopefully) make him happier in his work, I then found out there are going to be redundancies in my work. So already stressed about massive amounts of stuff. The day my DH accepts the job I find out I'm pregnant. Have been signed off from work for past week after I had an emotional breakdown at work (the day after my grandad was rushed into hospital had emergency brain surgery things weren't looking good) I couldn't cope any more. You actually couldn't make it up, I have cried so much since I found out about the pregnancy.

It was a complete shock, had trouble conceiving DS, being at my parents is a Good form of contraception, it happened just once and here I am, pregnant. Sorry if I sound so miserable but had a lot to deal with and I've kept it together so well until now! Aah

samsmother · 08/07/2013 22:04

Have booking in apt with midwife August 5th first scan on the 20th

stephie101 · 08/07/2013 22:20

SAMSMOTHER that is a tough year...and i'm not going to spin the bull about it will get better...none of us know what's around the corner..lifes one big joyride eh but with the pitfalls of a few bumps here and there.....my pregnancy wasnt planned either, very bizarre situation like those stories you read in take a break.
All i can say is....take a step back from it all...evaluate and breathe....much love x

marie456 · 08/07/2013 22:20

Sorry to hear all that Sam. What a tough time you've been having. Hope times get happier for you soon.
Thanks for advice ladies. I'm really worried, but trying to stay positive
Would anyone be so kind as to add me to the list please? I'm only on my phone.

Hope it is all better from her samsmother

Is anyone using a pregnancy tracker app? You know, the ones that tell you that the teeny person is the size of a poppy seed/ olive/ grape week by week? Any recommendations?
