Teddybear4 · 24/06/2013 13:43

Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Glad im not the only one who is hotter than the sun. I said to DH today "I cant wait for autumn".

Thatssofunny · 06/07/2013 20:48

Oh, I love it when it's hot and sunny. I can't stand the constantly "cold" weather in this country. Besides, it was only about 25-27 degrees today, which for me is just pleasantly warm...certainly not hot. Went to Greece a few years back,...and temperatures were at around 38/39 degrees. I was starting to feel a bit warm then. Grin I'm hoping for it to be 30+ degrees for my wedding in August. Would be a shame, if it were cold. I get cold really quickly, though.

Thanks Little. I know that I can take time off for appointments. However, I haven't had a sick day since I started teaching (and that includes training), so the idea to take time off is a bit alien to me. Hmm It's probably still a bit early for pregnancy yoga. Grin I'm going swimming, though,..and to aqua gymnastics and normal pilates (last time, I fell off the ball and annoyed everyone by giggling like a lunatic...aehm,...I'll try to behave this week).

I still don't have any symptoms and just feel completely normal. No vivid dreams, either. Although I could interpret certain things as symptoms:

  • I fell asleep on the sofa while watching tv today, which has happened before, though, and might be due to me waking at 5.30am.
  • I start getting emotional and teary over silly things, which also happens when I'm getting my period.
  • I was ravenous for the past week,...today, I missed lunch and still wasn't feeling hungry by tea time.
  • I've only had half a cup of tea today (
LittleMachine · 06/07/2013 21:19

Thats I went off tea last time I was pregnant. I don't drink anything else and my cups of tea are the highlights of my day. I always say, every cup of tea you have is a treat . You just don't get that with any other drinks. I love tea!

At about 14 weeks, I forced myself to start drinking it again, as I was emerging from the total fug of hyperemesis where I drank only dioralyte and lucozade!

Coletterbox · 06/07/2013 23:21

Hi Everyone, please may I join? I'm 35 and my EDD is March 1st. DS1 was 2 weeks late so think I'll definitely fall into the March camp :-) He's 5 now so it's been a while. So far not getting too much nausea thank goodness - although often wretch quite a bit in the mornings much to DH's amusement! V. Tender boobs and my sense of smell is out of control.

Sadiebelle2013 · 07/07/2013 05:55

Can I also join please? Im 33 and its Baby # 3 for us have a 4 yr old and 3yr old. EDD is 13th March, have nausea, tender boobs and I swear I look so bloated already!! How I'm going to keep this hidden for another 8 weeks I'll never know :)

Beccadugs · 07/07/2013 09:45

Morning all!

I can report that I am feeling horrendous! Like my whole body has nausea. Is this normal?

I have also been having vivid dreams and waking up at 5.30am...

Someone mentioned consultant led care, and I think I may need this as I have an under active thyroid and undiagnosed stomach complaints.

Wuxiapian · 07/07/2013 10:16

I hear ya, Sadie! Only I really am bloated. Still look 6 months pregnant 5 months post partum. Tut at me.

No vivid dreams here, yet, but boy am I hormonal?! DP had a moan about a couple cobwebs in the utility room and the dust gathering on the bathroom shelf and I struggled not to burst out into tears.

LittleMachine · 07/07/2013 11:01

Becca I often felt like that when dehydrated, make sure you are drinking enough.

Beccadugs · 07/07/2013 12:45

Thanks littlemachine!

I am definately well hydrated! Two litres of water and a lucozade, and if anything I feel worse! Sorry to moan, I know it's boring, but I have never felt this awful!

Souredstones · 07/07/2013 13:04

becca if its any consolation I feel the same. I've stocked up on crackers to eat plain as they're easy on the tummy

LittleMachine · 07/07/2013 13:27

I only feel nauseous up to know, sick-wise. Praying and praying that I don't get hyperemesis again. Would be a nightmare with a toddler.

Equally, I am worried that I don't feel sick enough Confused

Sorry you feel worse Hmm You still have to keep drinking though, even if it's a little bit at a time.

Thatssofunny · 07/07/2013 14:11

You make me feel like I should be feeling horrible. Hmm There is absolutely nothing wrong with me and I'm feeling totally fine. This is getting me a tad worried now. Have spoken to my mum (and had to tell my nan, because my mum didn't even last a day of not telling someone) and neither of them ever felt sick during their pregnancies. My nan nearly cried, because the sprog is arriving so close to my grandad's birthday. (I'm gutted that he won't meet it anymore. I tried so hard to conceive earlier, but he died last September.)

Did a CB digital this morning and it came up with the "pregnant" after about a minute and "1-2" two minutes later. Should I be on "2-3" already? I'll try again in a week to see whether it has changed, since the tests with the lines didn't seem to get any darker. Well, they did a little bit, but all of the lines were quite faint. My cycles vary, but I think this one would have been 28 days. I shouldn't worry. Nothing I could do anyway.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 07/07/2013 15:01

If it makes you feel better Thatsofunny I am not feeling anything either. Everyone is different so try not to worry by comparing yourself to others. We'll both probably find we're sick as dogs next week and we'll be wishing for no symptoms! Smile

CaptainCalamari · 07/07/2013 15:06

Thatssofunny I think the accuracy of the conception indicator isn't amazing... its so frustrating isn't it not being able to see whats going on in there! I've got no symptoms other than the odd horrible stabbing pain, not reassuring! I'm definitely going to pay for a scan at around 8 weeks, no way can I wait two whole months to confirm that there's a baby in there!
Been for a long walk this morning, so glad I'm not 8+ months pregnant in this heat! Thinking about it, March is definitely the best month to have a baby Grin
Hope all of you feeling crappy feel better soon! Flowers and ginger Biscuit all round xx

LittleMachine · 07/07/2013 15:29

In my last 2 pregnancies I didn't get sick until about 6 weeks, I think that's more usual. And of course some people don't get sick at all. I very unreasonably hated those people in my last pregnancy. I now realise it wasn't their fault Wink

stephie101 · 07/07/2013 19:06

This for me is weird..been 14yrs since i was last pregnant!!! Did i really bloat this much before??
I drink tea all the time 8+ cups daily...just aboyt have 1 at the moment, for me its fruit juice and lots of it...

Confitdecanard · 07/07/2013 19:18

I too can't help worrying a little bit about lack of sickness. I was so sick by this stage in last pregnancy. I know I'll regret fretting anout it if I do get sick though. I am however very hormonal. I cried at the tennis and earlier DH had to stop me from trying to ram someone with my trolley when they got in the way at the supermarket! I had such a rage on, I wanted to hit him when he picked the wrong ham. Also very hot and have sprayed sun tan lotion in my eye which is not helping with the rage. Anyone else finding that they are hugely and irrationally irritable? Anyway, off to thump DH for breathing in an annoying way.

Souredstones · 07/07/2013 20:09

After that post I have to ask what the largest gaps are between this pregnancy and your last. I've seen a 14 year and mine is 9 years. Anyone else?

Anyone else petrified of the newborn stage again?

HotCrossPun · 07/07/2013 21:02

So I settled down on the couch to watch the tennis...and promptly fell asleep!

Woke up 5 hours later feeling absolutely exhausted. How is everybody else baring up in the heat?

Sugarlump39 · 07/07/2013 21:18

I know I shouldn't moan about the weather but being stuck in a hot uniform for 12 hours, constantly needing a wee and having sporadic back pain is not conducive to me keeping calm and stress free!! Sheer frustration!

samsmother · 07/07/2013 22:29

Hi can I join? Got my positive almost 2 weeks ago, unplanned and very much in denial but am not crying about it anymore so here I am. Have been off food and when I do eat it doesn't excite me (I usually eat for 2 non pregnant!) and have been tired. I put the tiredness down to feeling unhappy about my situation (I posted in pregnancy about how upset I was...)
Name: samsmother

stephie101 · 08/07/2013 06:23

Morrrrning ladies....well early scan day has arrived..excited/nervous and nausea has kicked in...feeling positive though, looked at the boobs earlier...obvious increased blood flow, with those little veins google maps has got competition!!
Tea is gross and my passion for chocolate has declined :(

stephie101 · 08/07/2013 06:27

Its very scary....my dd is 6 months off 17 too, i know this time round im going be shattered...well worth it though

RugbyWidow7 · 08/07/2013 06:52

Just lost my message, so here I go again!

Mortified, I'm having vivid dreams too. I dreamt that DH and his sister agreed that he should see other people outside our marriage! I woke up so upset! How weird!

I didn't feel sick last pregnancy at all, but have had quite a big of nausea this time. Had a long car journey yesterday which didn't help! Hoping that's the last of it though, as it seems to be waining.

Also had a very odd pregnancy side effect last time, in that I had a Nose bleed everyday from the beginning of the 2nd trimester onwards. Well, I've had one for the last two days - surely they're not starting this early this time! Urgh!

Also having irrational anger all over the place! Smile [tea]

toasterstrudel · 08/07/2013 06:57

hi all, can i join please? got my bfp last monday - i was on the pill so it wasn't planned at all, but i told my partner i thought i felt pregnant about a week before i got a positive so we had a bit of time to get our heads around it.

only had nausea so far, and am going in for an early scan this week as i had a troubled pregnancy before so hopefully it'll all be good news! congrats everyone on their bfps!
