Hi everyone, hope you had good wkends, I'm looking forward to my holiday next Saturday (although won't be the usual sunbathing with wine flowing!), still can't wait just to relax especially as I'm feeling a bit rough and sick today! Work are piling on the pressure ahead of my hols but who cares, in one week I will be off for two weeks woop!

Just wondered when the really preggers people started to get lightning crotch/cervix pangs? So I can be prepared and not go into cervix panic!

Oooh congratulations hazle! Welcome Victor!

And blimey janey early morning post above.

Any news from purple? I'm guessing silence means she is in full on labour now & it's all going on.

janey1234 · 30/06/2013 09:29

Ha have already lost all sense of day and night! And that's with loads if trained staff looking after Miles, heaven only knows how it will be when it's down to us...

Thinking of purple - hope all is going well

Cavort · 30/06/2013 09:42

I don't think it will be long until a few of us are regular middle-of-the-night posters. Grin

How is little Miles Janey?

And little Victor? How was your first night Hazle?

I have got mild period-type pains. Do you think this means something will happen soon or am I just clutching at straws? Confused

PUSH Purple, PUSH!!

HazleNutt · 30/06/2013 10:05

I was dead tired but of course waking up every time the baby moved, so they took him to nursery for a couple of hours. Paediatrician said all looks fine, some heart murmur but that's common and they will do an EKG just in case as well . He is sleeping at the moment, PILs will be over later. Still doesn't feel real .
I am fine too. A little sore, there were some stitches but just a small tear, so will live.

Janey do you feel like a natural mother and all?
Yes Cavort period pains are definitely a sign. Better get ready..

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/06/2013 10:40

Hazle congratulations! Hope you're both doing well this morn. FX for you Cavort (still waiting for one of you to announce a middle name of berry Grin). Did you know you were having boys btw?

HazleNutt · 30/06/2013 10:44

Yes I knew it was a boy. Middle name Alexander.

Purplemonster · 30/06/2013 10:45

Hi all baby purple was born at about 1am and is a whopping 8lbs - no wonder my back hurt carrying her!. In typical purple fashion I had a few issues but baby is fine and healthy and HAIRY so I'm not doing horror stories don't worry Wink

Purplemonster · 30/06/2013 10:47

Oh and congrats to Hazle too.

Come on Cavort!

HazleNutt · 30/06/2013 10:50

Congrats Purple!!! Busy weekend for berries.

Quodlibet · 30/06/2013 11:07

Congratulations Hazle and Purple! What fantastic news. A real flurry of berry babies.

Janie how is Miles doing?

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/06/2013 11:24

Yey well done purple! Congrats.

Bunnygirlie · 30/06/2013 11:35

OMG another one! Is that 3 Berry babies in 3 days?!?

Congrats purple !!!

Cavort · 30/06/2013 11:45

Wow, huge congratulations Purple, so glad it didn't go on too long long enough I'm sure. Has the little lady got a name yet? Smile

So yours and Hazle's births were ok? I knew it!! I am going to be the one with the horrendous 4 day labour! Hmm And I'm always feckin last!

janey1234 · 30/06/2013 11:57

Oh purple massive massive congratulations! What a flurry of lovely babies. Hoorah.

Miles has made real progress in the last 24 hours. In the early hours I was allowed to hold him which was amazing, and managed to breast feed him first thing. Just tried again now but he wouldn't wake up - suspect that's to do with him being sedated on morphine for 36 hours rather than him being an easy baby!

Cavort - hope period pains do indeed mean baby is coming soon.

How exciting is this?! Can't quite believe I'm a mum yet - suspect it's surreal anyway, but having him cut out (which was easy btw) and then whisked away to nicu (not at all easy) has made it even more so....

Quodlibet · 30/06/2013 12:26

Ahhh glad little Miles is feeding! My sister's baby was difficult to wake to feed at the beginning too so I think it might be quite a normal thing Janie.

Purple and Hazle any chance of some pics so we can all admire your work?

MotherOfCleo · 30/06/2013 13:34

wow, congrats Purple Grin amazing news.

HazleNutt · 30/06/2013 14:55

I put a photo up.

Bunnygirlie · 30/06/2013 14:59

Very cute hazle

Quodlibet · 30/06/2013 15:10

He's beautiful Hazle. Well done you!
How is it not being pregnant any more?

happylass · 30/06/2013 16:57

Hello! Just popping in to say a huge congrats to Janey Hazle and Purple. So exciting that the first Berry babies are here! Who's next?

Purplemonster · 30/06/2013 17:02

Cavort, honestly? My labour really wasn't completely straightforward, it being me with my bad luck! I'm soooo not one for telling birth horror stories though, I'm sure it could have been worse. It doesn't matter in the end, it was worth it, if I could just get the little one to feed I'd be happy.

Very cute Hazle! Mine needs to grow into her chubby cheeks I think

Oh and for those that were asking, her name is Lucy Catherine. Surname still under discussion.

Cavort · 30/06/2013 17:05

Oh Hazle how cute, he is gorgeous! I bet you can't stop cuddling him.

Janey, Hazle and Purple who do you think your babies look like?

So my first strange question to the three of you lucky buggers who are not pregnant any more is, quite randomly, how big is the initial belly you have been left with? Are we talking big and floppy enough to pick up and hoist it over your shoulder, or is it not too bad?

Cavort · 30/06/2013 17:13

Oops cross post Purple. That's a lovely name. And you don't need to worry about scaring me with labour stories... it's not like I can change my mind now. My friend said at one point if she had been offered euthanasia she would have taken it and hers was straightforward.

FX your lovely little Lucy gets feeding soon.

So we now have Miles, Victor and Lucy in our Berry gang. Grin Awww I WANT MY BABY NOW!!! Envy Envy

Cavort · 30/06/2013 17:15

Hi Happy I am 40+4 so I am next in theory but no signs so far and wouldn't surprise me if one of the 1st or 2nd trimester ladies has theirs at term before me. Sad

HazleNutt · 30/06/2013 17:50

Well I'd say I look good 6 months pregnant still. It's going down though. It's odd not having anybody kicking my bladder and that I don't need to go every 5 minutes.Grin

Victor looks like my dad.
