Hi everyone, hope you had good wkends, I'm looking forward to my holiday next Saturday (although won't be the usual sunbathing with wine flowing!), still can't wait just to relax especially as I'm feeling a bit rough and sick today! Work are piling on the pressure ahead of my hols but who cares, in one week I will be off for two weeks woop!

Just wondered when the really preggers people started to get lightning crotch/cervix pangs? So I can be prepared and not go into cervix panic!

Morning all (is it morning?!)

Purple - how bloody frustrating but sounds like you're on your way. Even if you did need inducting it sound like a pessary might be all you need, rather than a full on drip, given you've started and stopped already.

Feeling v sorry for you both cavort and hazle. I do not miss being preggers one bit tbh, and I didn't even make it to 39 weeks. Hope things happen soon for you both.

Think I've uploaded a picture of mikes, taken in the first hour as it looks nicer than the ones now with him all hooked up. Know I'm massively biased but think he's just the cutest little thing.

Consultant just told us that Miles took a turn for the better at 2am and started to show a marked improvement then. If he continues in the way he's going, they are going to reduce the morphine to let him wake up and try taking him off the ventilator tonight.

If anyone ends to having a c section do no fear, I've been wandering all over the place and feel bloody good. They're, in my experience, nothing to be afraid of. Oh and the consultant said his breathing difficulties are more likely due to him being in such an awkward position (transverse breech) than the fact I had a c section which makes me feel loads better (even though elcs would have been the only option for me in the end anyway).

janey1234 · 29/06/2013 13:04

Inducting? Inducing?! Am losing my mind...

Oh and boobs have now made 2 x 4ml colostrum . Not impressive but something!

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 13:09

Oh he is just gorgeous! My contractions are there, but irregular and still no more dilated, so they want to start the drip as well.I don't exactly like needles and things.

Cavort · 29/06/2013 13:11

Oh Janey he's absolutely adorable - and I am not just saying that. He looks so peaceful considering he had just been extracted - not at all the red-faced screamer that I assume all newborns are. Grin He looks like he has some lovely chubby cheeks, what weight was he?

And fantastic news that he is doing so well. FX that he gets taken off the ventilator tonight and he can spend the night with Mum where he belongs.

There's nothing to say he wouldn't have ended up needing assistance if you had opted for a natural birth (even though that wouldn't have been an option). You made the choice which was right for you and you have a lovely little man as a result. You should be very proud of yourself.

I just wish ours would hurry the fuck up!!! Envy Grin

Cavort · 29/06/2013 13:15

Oh Hazle cross posts. You mean you can feel contractions now?

I know it's easy for me to say this while not currently in labour, but isn't it better to get on the drip and meet your baby sooner? Latent labour can go on for days. I would/will feel exactly the same as you though. Sending all my best wishes. Flowers

Janey a newborns's stomach is only 5ml so 2 x 4ml is well on the way to filling him up! Well done Janey's boobs! Grin

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 13:43

On drip. Not really how I imagined it, wanted to hang at home as long as possible, go to hospital 9 cm dilated and have the baby in an hour..now hooked up on the drip, therr go the natural pain management techniques..And the room is very medical, got a birth ball but that's pretty much it. And they gave me one of those horrible paper hospital gowns to wear. So not too happy at the moment. Will keep you updated.

janey1234 · 29/06/2013 14:12

Oh hazle good good luck. Berry number two sounds like it might be on the way!! Thinking of you. And if anyone can do this, you can, you will be fab

Cavort · 29/06/2013 14:15

Hazle how frustrating. Purple and you are probably on the drip at the same time.

I'm sorry it's not going the way you had hoped, but hopefully you will meet babyNutt very soon and fall so in love with him you won't care how he got here.

I have got everything crossed for you for a super fast dilation and birth Smile

Yes please keep us posted! Even the bad stuff.

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 14:22

So far no change, the contractions I had before seem to have stopped too, probably because of the environment. Some woman screaming next door which is not helping.

Bunnygirlie · 29/06/2013 14:41

Hellooooooo, I know I'm torturing myself by coming in here but I heard word of Berry babies and wanted to say congrats janey!!! Thrilled for you!

Break a leg to the other Berries due so soon!!! x

Purplemonster · 29/06/2013 15:58

Hi everyone, can't have the pessary as surprisingly even though my contractions have slowed down I'm over 4cm dilated!

Despite soaking through every towel in the house, apparently only part of my waters have gone so they're going to break my fore waters and hope the contractions ramp up again. If not its the dreaded drip and no water birth for me too. Just sitting around waiting at the moment, it's all quite calm but boring.

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 16:17

Had my waters broken too, didn't hurt at all.

Quodlibet · 29/06/2013 16:30

Janey he is gorgeous! It must be so hard not being able to squidge him. Well done your boobs though, and great to hear he is improving. Ironic in a way that even after a scheduled birth you have to go through this horrible limbo period after meeting your little one, while poor Hazle and Purple are stuck in the pre-birth limbo. Let's hope by the end of the weekend we have all of you properly united with your little ones.

Cavort · 29/06/2013 16:43

Have you got contractions again now waters have gone Hazle?

Check you out MNing in established labour Purple even if contractions have temporarily gone for a burton.

The race is on for Berry Baby #2!

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 16:50

Oh yes now we're talking. There's about on every minute.

Cavort · 29/06/2013 17:02

Really, that's great! You'll have a baby in no time! Grin

janey1234 · 29/06/2013 17:17

Super impressed with all this keeping berries up to date whilst in proper labour!
Go hazle! Go purple!

So bloody exciting...

Cavort - will be you soon too I'm certain.

They have stopped giving miles morphine now and are going to try taking him off the ventilator in an hour or so. Everything crossed it works out ok.

And hi bunny. So lovely of you to stop by. Hugs.x

Cavort · 29/06/2013 19:21

Any news guys?

I really hope the silence means you are pushing right now or, even better, have had your babies. Smile

Purplemonster · 29/06/2013 19:24

Janey he's gorgeous!

Stuck on a bloody drip now, bit fed up that my cervix has done all that work getting to 5cm and I still can't have the birth I wanted because I'm not having enough contractions. So I'm wired up to various machines waiting... Sad oh well I reckon I'm on for third place though!

Cavort · 29/06/2013 22:15

Oh FFS Purple I'm gutted fir you that it seems to have stalled. Sad I hope baby Purple turns up soon. Come on Purple's uterus, pull your finger out!!!

HazleNutt · 29/06/2013 22:40

Victor was born an hour ago and he is perfect. 51 cm 3,5 kilo. Not too keen to repeat the labour immediately, but once they said push, it only took a few minutes. So funny, a whole new person..

Bunnygirlie · 29/06/2013 23:04

Congrats hazle another berry baby wow!!!! Are they all gonna come one day after another???

Cavort · 29/06/2013 23:29

Massive congratulations to you and your DH Hazle!! Grin Grin Wonderful news to end the day on! And well done you for doing such a great job of pushing him out. Grin Looking forward to seeing a picture of the lovely little fella.

Looks like Purple might be tomorrow so please mother nature can I book in for Monday please? Envy
