Thought I may as well start this given I'll be around for another (hopefully) 14ish weeks :) Hope I've not crossed posts with anyone!

OP posts:

kittykatsforever · 08/11/2013 19:25

Ahh ted so good to hear from you, cruising all ready Shock I can't believe it!
Kitten is also 6 months rolling and thumb sucking constantly, she's just starting to sit unaided all be it bent in half Wink
When that's amazing in weight loss! Both mine lost a lot in the beginning, I've always had to have the hv come again and make sure they were back on track although they've always done really well after that first week or so
Who's next on the bus then?
Winkle was lovely to hear from you, what's your next step lovely?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 08/11/2013 21:07

Eight months and six months already Shock times flying.

Great to hear from you ted it's good to hear Bruce is doing well, cruising at 8 months is amazing.

Sounds like kitten is doing well too. Six months is such a cute age.

I've just looked at the scales today Sad I need to lose about 2 stone. Hopefully breastfeeding will help get some of it off but I think I might need to do a proper diet.

kittykatsforever · 08/11/2013 22:31

Me too when, 1 stone and just can't motivate myself to loose it, Hmm my sis has done the 5-2 and it's really worked

tedmundo · 10/11/2013 09:47

kittykay .. Glad to hear kitten is doing well too! We took dummy away at 5 months and he didn't bother with thumb. Seems happy chewing on a muslin or a bunny ear!

I did the 5:2 to get rid of last 7 lbs. I got back to pre miscarriage weight ( I started Bruce's pregnany without losing the mc weight) after 6 months. I am glad i did it but it was tough.

when don't even do anything about it for a good few months. I peed out a stone in the first 3 weeks. I could see my feet shrink a bit each day. The other stone was chub and I had to work harder at that.

Yes cruising at 7 months is waaaay more advanced than other 2. Ds1 was really developmentally slow in all gross motor skills and is still a complete klutz. But is super super bright (honestly .. Not just a MN typical mum there. Promise!) so all is not lost!

Alexandra6 · 11/11/2013 11:45

Hello and glad the mummies are doing well!

First day of mat leave for me, I'm 38 weeks this week so think I'm next up eeeek! So strange not knowing when it will happen! Struggling a bit today thinking of poor DH having to go and work while I'm off but am trying to be productive so I don't feel guilty - we have plenty to do around the house still to get ready. Just need to stop feeling guilty so I can also find some time to relax a bit with my feet up too!

RedRobin1 · 12/11/2013 11:39

Hi ted lovely to hear from you - can't believe how quick time's flown! Bruce is 8 months already :) and doing amazingly well from the sounds of it.

alex I am not far off behind you! 32 weeks today! Hope your first day of mat leave is exciting. I cannot wait till I finish work... I have so many plans for mat leave - looking forward to it. How are you keeping at 38 weeks? Any signs of baby making a move out of there? Hope you get to put your feet up once the stuff around the house is done!

when I never knew babies loose weight! Thanks for telling me otherwise I can just picture myself having a panic attack after birth about the weight loss! Good to hear from you, glad you and Nate are doing well. I tried this 5:2 diet thing in ttc days and it amazingly works, but I didn't manage to stick to it for long.

kitty 6 months old little kitten! It seems so soon.... This must be a lovely age to enjoy with her.

My little robin has moved even lower. I started off carrying quite low and had bladder pressure all through from about 9 weeks onwards. Now baby has moved really low and loves to kick my nerves where the leg and hip meet. Don't know if anyone else has had this? But its excruciating pain feels like someone is physically pulling your leg apart from your hip..which leaves me screaming "oww" in the middle of the night. On the bright side - I haven't had a single kick in the ribs.

Oh and just wondered what everyone thought of newborn photoshoots? I was quite against the whole thing initially and thought it was a waste of money as all they do is sleep. But now coming around to the idea as it will just be so lovely to capture how tiny they look in the first few weeks - Especially as you will never get to see them that small again! We have good camera kit at home, but my photos never turn out as good as the professional ones.

RedRobin1 · 12/11/2013 11:40

eeek! I have waffled! sorry!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 17/11/2013 17:13

Hi all

alex hope all is going well, I assume you are still pregnant.

red that kicking in the hips sounds painful, hope it eases off soon.

We are still doing well with ds (2 1/2 weeks old). Except that he has come down with a cold. It was pretty inevitable really, dd is now into her third cold in 5 weeks so I was sure he would end up with something.

fatasbutter · 17/11/2013 17:42

Hey when! Glad to hear all going well 2.5 weeks in (apart from the cold of course!!)

I'm now 27 weeks! Feeling exhausted with the boy to look after and we are in the middle of moving house of course which helps!! Feeling much more tired with this pregnancy - were others the same due to childcare issues too?!

Glad to hear all going well with you too red and those with babes of up to 8 months (!!!) - seems like a lifetime ago that people like ted were on the conception boards with us! Wink

kittykatsforever · 18/11/2013 07:51

Helloooo everyone , big waves!
Alex how are you feeling? Any signs?
Don't you feel guilty for one second lady!!! < stern finger> I'm sure it will be you getting up in the middle of the night to feed little one, enjoy your time off please, don't ever underrate how nice it will be to lie on the couch all day or go to meals/ the pics without children!!
Red when do you finish? Hope bubs moves a little for you, the leg kicks do not sound pleasent!
When hope your household kicks out the germs soon, can you update us with another pic? I think newborns change so quickly
I am going to try and put a pic on mumsnet for red and those not on fb, dd2 is like repunzel now, her hair is unreal! Plus my little angels are spoiling me, dd1 woke at 7:20 when dh came in from work he's just for her in bed watching tele at the min and dd2 is still asleep, she was in bed at 7, dd2 at 7:30 and I havnt heard a peep all night I'd brag in RL but might get linched Wink
Fatas it is hard when you've another to care for, I know first time I had some lovely naps when I came in from work but second time I just wasn't able to, I'm sure dh would have let me occasionally but I hadn't seen dd1 all day etc and felt I couldn't she made me carry her up the stairs and things until I gave birth! After I had no idea how I did it!

weechops · 20/11/2013 14:30

I am so rubbish at keeping in touch!

Alex I'm not far behind you then, I'm 37+2 today eek!

Finally packed my hospital bag, and started the kids' bag in case its an overnighter again.

I'm in so much pain from the pressure this wee guy is putting on my pelvis :( Walking is an effort. Not long to go though :)

RedRobin1 · 21/11/2013 07:45

kitty I am due to finish in 3.5 weeks time! Cannot wait! Little one has moved off my pelvis - midwife said those pains were the baby's head engaging. It's fully engaged and very low down she said.

alex how many days to go? Any signs of labour yet?

wee 37 weeks! How exciting - you will be next! Hope the pelvis pains are not too bad - you have my total sympathies! Have you finished work?

weechops · 21/11/2013 12:58

red bet you'll be dying to finish work by now! I'm sahm so just usual routines for me every day :) My 3 year old is being especially nice to me by letting me play with him on the couch instead of crawling about the floor :)

Alexandra6 · 25/11/2013 15:15

Hello! It's my NHS due date today! Been enjoying mat leave, stressful start as I spent 36 hours in hospital being monitored after a red bleed. Since then I've been enjoying relaxing and seeing friends, went to the cinema with DH yesterday. red you'll love mat leave!

I was thinking no signs of labour but then just today I have period pain type feelings in my stomach and had an upset stomach too, plus feel nauseous. I wonder if it's all going to kick off soon! Trying not to be too excited (eeeek!) but it does seem like early labour signs.

Glad you're all ready with the hospital bag wee - after my false alarm/bleed I realised how unprepared I was so been trying to get ready, nearly all sorted (at 40 weeks haha!)

Hello kitty, fatas, when and everyone else. Oh and I'm all for professional newborn pics for whoever was asking about that, I've started my baby book too.

RedRobin1 · 25/11/2013 22:54

Ooo goodluck alex fx it's going to happen soon!

I want to be able to get to my due date too!! Hopefully baby stays put till after Christmas! I will be 38 weeks on Christmas day!

wee I still have 3 more weeks at work and then I'll be able to put my feet up.

Getting a little stressed and worried about everything! It's just going to be such a lovely big change and I am just panicking about all the things I haven't done yet - for instance I need to really start packing my hospital bag! 34 weeks here Smile

Hoping to hear the birth story and good news soon!

Kitty let me know if you have posted pics of little ones on your profile! Will be lovely to see them Smile

And yes we have booked our newborn photo session and very excited about it too!

RedRobin1 · 27/11/2013 22:17

How you doing Alex?

Alexandra6 · 27/11/2013 23:11

Lots of crampy feelings, quite emotional/tired one minute then loads of energy the next...but still no proper labour! Am actually fine just enjoying mat leave for now but I don't want to get induced and keep hoping I go into labour just because I'm excited! Grin

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 28/11/2013 23:06

It sounds like you are getting close alex fingers crossed for a nice easy labour for you

RedRobin1 · 29/11/2013 14:52

Are you overdue now alex? Hope baby is moving for you.

I am fully engaged now (1/5 on the weirdly confusing scale!) Its uncomfortable to walk now. The agonising nerve pain is back and the midwife said it sounded like I have sciatica everytime the baby moves.

Apart from that I am looking forward to meeting baby in 6 weeks time. I still can't believe some days that there is a baby inside me. A real human being. Feels very unreal.

I must pack my hospital bag now, but I seem to have lost the second trimester energy!

when how is Nate doing?

thingy and fatas hope you are both doing well

Alexandra6 · 29/11/2013 16:14

Thanks when. And I am red! To make it more confusing, I had two due dates in my head - the NHS one of Monday based on dating scan and my "real" one (as I know when I ovulated due to obsessive ttc) of yesterday. So either way, am now overdue. They said I'm 3/5 engaged on Tues (although didn't seem like an accurate science!) and I have to say I'm not uncomfy at all really, just excited. Sorry you're having nerve pain.

I'd like the baby to come soon though as I don't want to have a sweep or be induced! Actually would be good to hear any sweep/inducing stories?

Thingymajigs · 30/11/2013 08:22

Ooh exciting alex. Smile Really hope everything goes smoothly for you and you avoid induction. I know how time seems to stand still once you're over the due date.
I'm very impressed that you are working so far into the pregnancy red. That way you get to spend more time with baby but it must be difficult. I'm struggling with part-time work being on my feet all day so I'm amazed by full-time workers working till the last minute.
Everything is great here. We are prepping the nursery and still finding choosing a boys name very difficult. Ds2 is so excited about being a big brother. He feels like he has waited enough after 10 years as it is.
We'll all soon have our babies! Alex any day, then Christmas, then red, me and fatas. Smile I wonder who will be first out of us two Fatas. I don't think we are far apart by due dates.
It really doesn't seem that long ago we were agonising over ovulation dates and now we are near the end. Quite emotional about it all really. I just wish everyone was on here from the original thread.

Thingymajigs · 30/11/2013 08:29

I don't think that sharing my induction story would be particularly helpful alex as I was fully induced with a drip and most people only need minor intervention like a sweep or the gel to kick start labour. The outcome is always the same- a cute baby, so how it starts is pretty irrelevant but I'd obviously avoid another induction if I could. Can't wait to hear your birth story soon. Smile

weechops · 30/11/2013 10:05

Oh alex so exciting! I had a sweep with ds. It worked almost straight away. Had it at 4pm, light cramps from then til about 8pm when it got really sore. Then he was born early hours the next day :) I'm having a sweep on the 9th this time - day before edd to see if he may be born on my dads birthday :) that would just be so amazing.

Thingymajigs · 30/11/2013 10:18

weechops! I'm so sorry, I forgot you were due soon. How are you feeling?

weechops · 30/11/2013 10:34

Thingy I can sometimes hardly believe I'm due soon! I'm ok just loads of pressure down below, oh and carpal tunnel in my hands :) a week on Tuesday til d day eek!
